Preparation 

"Fuck!" It was a new day, early in the morning, and Sirius kept swearing as he flew to his destination at his top speed. He grimaced as he recalled the hidden conversation from yesterday. 

Sirius did more investigation after that and found that the Planet Cereal had been facing invasion for about a week. Many people have died while resisting, not even knowing who they were even fighting. Luckily, Frugra was one of the few cities that was not pulled into conflict as the invaders targeted cities with the largest population. 

However, once they set their eyes on Frugra, he did not know if he had a chance to survive at his current strength. 

'Urrrggg... what are the chances that the planet I just happen to be on is being invaded? It's only been a few weeks since I got here.' he thought, frustration bubbling inside him. 

To Sirius, this increased his urge to get even stronger. Not to mention, he also wanted to protect the people from the orphanage. Although he had been in this world for only about three weeks, he couldn't be cold-hearted enough to abandon them after all the care and love they had showered upon him. Sirius knew he was not that type of person. 

After a few hours, Sirius finally found himself in a new place, far from the city. He floated in the sky as the wind gently passed him, ruffling his hair. He had wanted to come here to train for the past few weeks, and even more so, after hearing about the invasion of Planet Cereal. 

Sirius observed the terrain below him. It was a forest that stretched endlessly. The forest was filled with a variety of vegetations and animals roaming around. 

'I am finally here. So, this is the forest of death.' This is the most dangerous place marked on the map around Frugra city. Sirius came here despite the danger he could face because he had to get stronger. 

After observing the forest, Sirius descended as he kept expanding his senses to find any creatures with high levels of ki. The result was, there were multiple of them. Some had the highest power levels he had ever come across. The stronger ones were deep inside the forest, while the weaker ones were on the outskirts. 

'Time to grind.' As Sirius thought this, he heard a familiar noise. 

Ding! 

A new quest has been created.

Quest: The forest of death is filled with savage beasts. But none of them of them holds a candle to Kumu, the beast king. Find and defeat it. 

Time limit: 7 days. 

Reward: +25 to all your stats other than luck and an enhancement scroll.

Sirius was surprised when a translucent blue screen appeared before his eyes all of a sudden. He noticed that he had 7 days to complete this mission, which meant it was not something easy that he could do it in one day. He became more convinced as he had to search for a specific target in this large forest. 

'Hmmm, most of the beasts are on the edge of the forest. Let's farm them before going deeper.' Sirius thought as he entered the forest. 

He planned to first explore the outskirts before going deeper into the Forest of Death. As he walked through the forest, he noticed the little sunlight around him, giving the place an eerie vibe. Everywhere around Sirius were humongous trees, their thick trunks seeming to touch the sky itself as their canopies blocked the sun's rays. 

Sirius walked around cautiously, and it did not take long for him to feel the presence of something coming towards him. He turned around to its directions, and he could see a figure coming straight at him.

Mauler, Lvl 17

It was a fierce creature that resembled a wolf. It had a muscular body covered in dark fur, with orange lines running along its side. The beast faced Sirius with its sharp teeth, ready to attack him at any moment. 

Despite its terrifying figure, Sirius did not get intimidated. Calm and collected, he readied himself. The beast started to snarl loudly as he saw a tiny figure Infront of him not show any fear. It lunged quickly at Sirius far faster than he expected. 

Sirius was already prepared for this attack. With his evolved right eye activated, he could see the beast's muscles tense and its blood flow quicken, showing it was ready to attack. Sirius avoided its deadly claw and coated his punch with green-colored ki, landing a perfect blow. Surprisingly, it only pushed the creature a short distance from where it was, seemingly unfazed. 

'Huh! I punched him hard. No way he did not get damaged. Let's—' Sirius's thought was disturbed as the beast attacked again, not giving him any time to rest. The creature swung its claws furiously, aiming right at Sirius's head. 

Luckily, Sirius was able to react as he ducked downwards to avoid the attack and rolled to the side. As he moved, he heard a sharp sound behind. 

* SHIINNGGGGG* 

 'Shit!' Sirius couldn't help but sweat as he turned to the source of the noise. A huge tree was falling toward him, clearly sliced by the beast's attack as if it were paper. 

Feeling the danger, Sirius jumped out of the way. 

*BOOOMMM* 

A booming sound resounded across the forest as the tree crashed into the ground, causing nearby birds to fly away in fright. 

Within seconds, Sirius landed on the ground, all of his senses in high alert as he tried to locate the beast amidst the dust created by the crash. The dust, combined with the little light, made it harder for Sirius to spot the beast. 

Slowly taking each breath, Sirius looked left and right. Unable to see any sign of his enemy, he became even more vigilant. 

Then, Sirius suddenly felt a presence above him. He looked up only to see a bright yellow aura gathered around the beast's mouth. It then released it. A beam came straight from its mouth, heading straight for Sirius 

"YOU CRAZY FUCK! YOU WANT TO DESTROY EVERYTHING!" Sirius knew a strong ki attack was coming right at him. He knew he couldn't run away because if he dodged it and it hit the ground, it would create an explosion. In this desperate moment, he tried to recreate an attack he had only seen on screen to counter it. Sirius cupped both his hands at his side and gathered ki. 

"KAMEHAAAMEEHAAAAA!!"
