The Frostbite Crucible

Sasaki and Ruri are aboard a small boat, sailing towards Reiki Island. The sun shines brightly overhead, causing the ocean to sparkle. Sasaki sits near the edge of the boat, looking focused, while Ruri lounges nearby, flipping through a magazine.

"Ruri, are you sure about this training? Will I really learn Kyanseru like this?"

"Yeah. I mean I don't know anyone who's unlocked their Kyanseru like this but, I'm sure you will figure it out."

Sasaki raises an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in his eyes.

"Why are you never serious about things? What's wrong with you?!""

"I don't need to be. I'm your older sister."

Sasaki looks at the ocean. He looks down.

"No…you're not."

"Harsh. Anyways, let's face the truth. You would rather be with me than any other Takai. That will be so awkward."

Sasaki's expression and tone becomes less serious.

"I guess."

Ruri chuckles, playfully nudging Sasaki's shoulder.

As the boat glides through the azure waters, Sasaki and Ruri exchange banter and laughter, sharing stories and teasing each other. The trip becomes less tense.

The boat draws closer to Reiki Island, its silhouette growing more defined against the horizon. Sasaki and Ruri suddenly brace themselves for their arrival when suddenly, a chilling gust of wind sweeps across the water, they suddenly approach an enormous icy hurricane.

"Hold on tight, Sasaki!

The hurricane roars towards them. Sasaki's eyes widen in fear as he realizes his powerlessness in the face of this hurricane. He clings desperately to the boat, feeling useless.

"Don't worry, Sasaki! I've got this!"

Ruri taps into her nature powerful aura, and releases it. Her eyes glows with a vibrant green energy. She extends her hands towards the oncoming hurricane and forces her aura to battle with the hurricane.

"This hurricane is far from natural."

"Got any ideas on who could do this?"

"Why do you think I have an idea?!"

"Cos you're a Kizoku! You definitely fought and met many powerful Ice Disciples!"

"What sort of logic is that?! And there's a lot of powerful Ice Disciples that can do this. Most of them are in the S.I.D. Plus, there's no way you don't know about this island."

Ruri raises her aura one last time. The hurricane disappears.

"This is the island, The Angel of Snow Yuki died in."

Sasaki is suprised to learn such information.

They finally make it onto the island. The air is frigid, and a sense of eerie stillness hangs in the atmosphere.

"I ain't gonna lie, what you done there Ruri, was impressive. I would've definitely died without you there."

"Wether you like it or not Sasaki, we're a team. Deep down you feel the same way."

"Maybe."

Sasaki looks around at the snowy terrain. Every time he took a step, his shoes will sink in snow.

"So… Reiki Island. Graveyard of The Angel of Snow. Her names on the armbands of the Ice Disciples."

"Yeah. They say she's the start of the Ice Disciples romanticizing war and conflict."

"Really? Makes a lot of sense then."

Reiki Island is the island that is said to be haunted by the spirit of The Angel of Snow, Yuki. It's said that she's the reason the whole of The Water Section has a blue shine that glimmers across the whole continent.

Their footsteps crunched on the frozen ground as they made their way through the towering ice trees, their branches glistening with a delicate layer of frost. The forest seemed to stretch endlessly before them, a maze of shimmering ice.

As they pressed onward, the winds grew stronger, buffeting against them with relentless force.

They reached a vantage point atop a jagged peak, the panoramic view of the landscape stretching out before them. The beauty was breathtaking, an icy wonderland that seemed to shimmer under the pale sunlight. But Sasaki knew that danger lurked beneath the surface.

Ruri turned to him, a gleam of excitement in her eyes.

"We're nearing the heart of Reiki Island, Sasaki."

As they carry on, they make it to the heart of Reiki.

In front of them, there's two large and long mountains covering a spacious and dangerous pathway. The path that Sasaki is going take for his training to unlock Kyanseru.

"Ahead of us are some powerful monsters Sasaki. By the way, you're not allowed to use aura."

"What the hell?! Why?!"

"It's so you can focus on using Kyanseru. You're allowed your swords though. It's a very challenging method of training but not impossible."

"I guess so."

"But just so you know, one mistake could lead to your death."

Shivers run down Sasaki's spine. But he gets excited. He gets his two swords out.

"I can't wait! I'll see you in a bit."

As he's about to run, he remembers to say one thing.

"Also, I'm not leaving till I unlock Kyanseru!"

Ruri nods.

"I wasn't planning on letting you leave without it anyways."

Sasaki runs forward. With many dangers that are lying ahead of him, he will fight them face on without using aura.

"I hope he doesn't go to deep into the island. I should've told him that before. Not even a Kizoku like I should go deep into this island."

The Frostbite Crucible, many people have died from doing it.
