Lucy was dozing on the chair while tending to her boss. Someone had tapped her on the shoulder. When she awoke from her sleep and noticed Grayson and Andrew in the room.
"What exactly are you doing here?" She inquired, rubbing her aching head.
"We saw in the news that some insane girl hurt Angelina," Grayson murmured as he saw her worn-out face. "Are you alright? You appear to be worn out."
Even though Lucy was extremely exhausted, she had to restrain herself until her boss awoke. The incident from yesterday has caused quite a mess. She had a lot to handle while her boss was away, leaving her with no time for self-care. Investigating who had set up that girl to accuse H&A was of utmost importance.
Andrew took a seat next to Angelina's bed. He noticed her sleeping peacefully, oblivious to the havoc she'd wreaked on his emotions. He was terrified when he learned that she had been injured and was in the hospital.
"You can handle other matters. I'll take care of her," said Andrew to Lucy.
When Lucy turned to face Andrew, she could tell that he was quite concerned about Angelina. She was unsure about him after taking this look at him.
"You can count on him. He'll look after her tonight." While staring at her pale face, Grayson said. " You should get some sleep."
"There was a lot of work that needed to be handled," and Lucy sighed as she stared at her boss' sleeping figure.
Lucy agreed with Grayson and left Angelina in the care of Andrew.
Grayson and Lucy both went, leaving Andrew alone in the room with the sleeping beauty.
When he raised his head to look at the unmoving woman on the bed, he felt prickling pain in his heart to see that her lovely eyelids were still closed. When he noticed that she had blood dripping from her head on the news, he was helpless. He was relieved to learn that she was fine and that her injuries were minor.
He'd been awake all night on the chair beside her bed.
Angelina felt as if she was walking in endlessly. When she found herself in a dark room with only the moonlight for illumination. She noticed a young girl with her head down, eating something.
When the girl lifted her head, she noticed that her mouth was covered in dirt or garden soil. Angelina was stunned when she realized the little girl's plate of food was mixed with garden soil when she took a closer look at her. She can hear a sand crunching sound when the little girl chews her food.
Angelina had the illusion that she was the one eating the dirt. It was simply unpleasant to chew on because the garden soil grinded against the teeth and the noise was conducted to the ears via bone conduction. It's almost as if you had some novocaine (enough to numb your tongue) in your mouth.
She wanted to throw up from the feeling that her stomach was twisting and was filled with sand. The eyes of the girl seated in front of her were soulless. Though the girl's eyes felt very familiar to Angelina, she is unable to concentrate on them due to stomach pain.
"Angelina Please get up. You've been sleeping for quite some time. Have you considered how much money you're wasting by sleeping here?" Someone was trying to wake Angelina up. For a brief moment, her mind was perplexed. It was difficult for her to tell whether what she had witnessed was real or a dream.
"Goddamn it, Angelina, get up."
When Angelina awoke from her slumber, she noticed Andrew seated on a chair next to her bed and anxiously looking at her.
Angelina opened her mouth and asked, "What's wrong with me?"
However, as soon as she said this, Angelina felt a splitting headache and couldn't help but frown.
"You've been injured in the head," Andrew said while pressing the bell to call the doctor.
After examining her, the doctor stated that she was now fine. But she needs to stay in bed for at least two days. " Give her only light meals because she has a very terrible digestive system as a result of inconsistent meals. It will take about ten to fifteen days for her head injury to fully recover."
The doctor diagnosed Angelina and then walked out of the patient room.
"Is it painful?" Andrew inquired, lightly touching the bandage on her head.
Andrew's face is very close to hers, and she can clearly see his facial features. He had a flawless complexion. 'Does he have a skin-care routine like other actors?' Angelina thought to herself.
"Angelina." She regained consciousness when she heard him call her name.
"What on earth were you thinking?" With a frown, Andrew inquired. "Don't put so much strain on your brain. What if you go insane? How would you then become a wealthy lady?"
When Angelina heard the last part of his speech, she pursed her lips and muttered, "You don't need to repeat the same sentence to make me do things that I don't want to. I'm not a child. Don't attempt to treat me like a child constantly."
Andrew smiles as he examines her pursed lips. 'She is incredibly cute'. If someone overhears his thought that Angelina Hunter is CUTE. They will begin to question his taste or vision.
"When did I start treating you like a kid?" He smiled playfully as he answered.
"You tried to frighten me while I was in a deep sleep by claiming that if I don't wake up, I'll lose my money. Seriously, kids don't fall for these kinds of threats," said Angelina.
"All right, I'm not going to use such childish threats on you," Andrew stated as he looked at his watch. "You must be starving since you haven't eaten anything. Grayson and Lucy are probably on their way here; I'll ask them to bring you some porridge."
Angelina felt her stomach churn and she wanted to puke after hearing about eating something. She began to feel uneasy. "I'm not hungry, and I'm not interested in eating anything."
"Are you feeling any discomfort?" Andrew inquired, looking at her uneasy expression. "I'll notify the doctor."
He stood up to call the doctor, but Angelina stopped him, saying, "I am fine. There is no need to seek medical attention. I...I don't want to eat anything." In a pleading tone, she said the final sentence.
By looking at her face, Andrew became concerned. She was not the type of person who pleaded in front of anyone. "Angelina, take a look at me." He cupped her face in his hand and spoke to her in a soothing tone. "Your body is weak and in need of nourishment. I will not force you to eat excessively. Just a few bites, please."
After hearing his voice, Angelina felt she had overreacted and attempted to calm her panicked emotions. She took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright."
While looking at her, she nodded her head. Andrew felt like he was coaxing a little girl.
