Pitiful

The reporters present were perplexed to see her questioning the girl.

"Miss Hunt, why are you asking her irrelevant questions? Are you attempting to draw attention away from the main topic?" The reporter inquired.

"These are important questions for all of you to know the true victim here," Angelina said with a mysterious smile.

That smile alone told everyone there was a twist in the story. The young girl began to worry as well. She believed that people would sympathize with her and that this would be enough to give her the upper hand in the given situation.

Angelina was having a great time looking at everyone's colorful expressions. It made her very happy.

"I have published a list of all H&A cosmetic products on the company's official website. That conveys a great deal about how big my brand is." Angelina stated confidently.

Everyone was perplexed after hearing her. Some of them assumed she was bragging about her brand

The online audience who were watching the live show became curious and began to visit the website.

"What the h*ll is this?"

"Mommy, this is really expensive. Looking at these numbers began to hurt my eyes."

Onlookers began to make comments.

The reporters present began to check their phones as well, and they were stunned. They discovered that the H&A cosmetic product was more expensive than they had anticipated. Single face cream can cost up to $10,000. The female reporters present felt as if they were about to pass out.

"Miss Hunt, your company's cosmetic products are so expensive that most people will be unable to afford them; aren't you losing money?" One of the journalists asked a question.

Angelina simply grinned at him. "These are high-end luxury products that were made after several quality checks and it is only focused for the upper class customers," she said, looking directly into the camera.

She turned to face the young girl who tried to hide her presence, sadly she was the main protagonist (or antagonist) of the show.

"You stated that you do not work to earn money and your parents will not allow you to spend money on such luxurious items. So the question is, where did you get the money to buy such an expensive product?" Angelina paused before continuing, "I'm sorry, dear, I forgot to tell you that you must be a VIP membership card holder in order to purchase any beauty product from our store."

Everyone understands the entire story, and the final conclusion was that they were all duped by this young girl. The story's irony was that they came to see Angelina make a fool of herself, but they were one of the biggest fools here.

The revelation of the truth was a real slap in the face to all of the reporters.

That young girl realized she was completely trapped and there was no way out.

She fell down on her knees and began to cry "I had no desire to do anything. But they threatened me, sob... sob... I was helpless. Miss Hunt, please save me." She began to fabricate a false story in order to gain sympathy.

"You wonder how I could have had the courage to frame you. You are one of the most powerful businessmen, and I cannot afford to offend you."

The young people watching the live broadcast on their phones began to sway.

"I believe there is someone behind this, and they were taking advantage of her. She is pitiful to be caught between the hatred of others."

"Oh, how pitiful. Only a moron would believe her nonsense. She's just making stuff up."

Angelina looked at the girl who was making a concerted effort to appear pitiful.

Angelina gripped the young girl's chin and said, evilly, "It's none of my business whether you're pitiful or not. You've already created a lot of havoc. It is now your turn to repay."

She let go of her chin and pulled out a wet tissue to wipe her hands and throw it away.

That girl felt a shiver run down her spine. She realized that her act would not fool this woman.

"If you leave me alone, I... I'll tell you who's behind this." She said with some hope. She believed Angelina must want to know who was behind this and exact revenge. Angelina will not press legal charges against her if she reveals the identity of the person.

Angelina scoffed at the girl who was plotting schemes in her head. "Do you believe you are in a position to bargain with me?" I don't need you to tell me who is performing this puppet show behind the scenes."

"And save your acts for the reporters who initially believed you. I am wise enough to distinguish between right and wrong."

Angelina turned to face the camera as if she were confronting the predator responsible for all of this mischief. "You can enjoy your puppet show, but don't mistake me for a puppet whose string can be pulled in any direction you want."

After some time, a police officer arrived.

"Miss, you have been arrested on the charge of falsely accusing someone and attempting to murder."

After hearing them, that girl was rooted to the ground. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine a day when everything in her life would be destroyed by her own hands.

"I did not attempt to murder anyone. You can't put me in prison." The young tried to justify everything in order to get out of the situation.

When the young girl was charged with attempted murder, the reporters present were perplexed.

"Did this girl send someone to murder you, Miss Hunt?"

Angelina cocked her head and stared at the reporter who had asked her such a ridiculous question. "You must have forgotten that I was hospitalized because of this girl. As a result, I've suffered numerous setbacks. She should be grateful that I did not seek compensation for my losses."

She noticed that the reporter was still not convinced by her reasoning. "Do you know how much money I can make in those two days that I had to spend in that bloody white room?" Angelina stated solemnly.

The reporter broke out in cold sweat as he looked at her cold expression. "You did the right thing, Miss Hunt. We must bear the consequences of our actions. Also, you were so gracious to forgive her for such a great loss." To save the situation, the reporter tried to flatter her.

Hearing him wholeheartedly agree with her. Angelina broke into a bright smile and said, "You are a smart person. You will undoubtedly succeed in life."

Lucy sighed beside her, her gaze drawn to her boss and the pitiful reporter.
