#4 Not Again!!!

Just as Hiroto thought, Curseacle entered the room he was in. Hiroto wanted to go to the vent, but unfortunately, Curseacle froze and started laughing in a scary tone. Curseacle searched the room all around him, looking for Hiroto. Unbeknownst to Hiroto, he was confused about why Curseacle was just standing there. Hiroto realized his big mistake when he saw drops of his blood on the floor. Realizing the danger, Hiroto tried to run out of the room, but it was too late. Curseacle reached out with a tentacle, grabbed Hiroto, and slammed him against the wall, causing him to spit out blood. Hiroto was in shock and agony, hearing Curseacle's menacing laughter as he screamed in pain. Panicked and near death's door once again, Hiroto tried to think quickly but couldn't find a way out.

In a desperate attempt to survive, Hiroto pretended to beg Curseacle to spare his life, successfully buying himself some time to heal. He continued to act as if he were wounded but knew he couldn't afford to be hit again. When Curseacle was about to attack, Hiroto dodged using only his arms and one leg. This upset Curseacle, who then tried to break Hiroto's other leg. However, Hiroto flashed Curseacle with a UV light, giving him enough time to dodge the tentacle. To Hiroto's surprise, the UV light affected Curseacle more than he expected. It didn't just slow him down; it completely stopped him in his tracks and appeared to burn Curseacle.

Realizing he might still have a chance to win, Hiroto took the opportunity to attack Curseacle with his knife and cut off the tentacle that was about to attack him. Curseacle screamed in pain and uttered, "You insolent human," with an angry and unhappy face. Blinded by rage, Curseacle attacked Hiroto without thinking and forgot about the UV light. But as Hiroto froze one tentacle and almost cut it off, he was quickly slapped by another tentacle, sending him flying across the room and crashing into the wall, causing it to crack. Hiroto was knocked unconscious.

By a stroke of luck, Delmon arrived due to all the noise. Now, only Delmon and Curseacle remained in the room, and they started fighting over who would get to kill Hiroto. Delmon claimed, "I saw the human first, so I should get the kill. Plus, you're the one who lost him when you had the advantage." Curseacle retorted, "I told you he disappeared out of thin air. I looked everywhere for that human, including all nearby rooms. I'm the one who found the human and got my hands on him first. Step back. Plus, I already did a lot of damage to that human. You can't just come in and steal my kill." Delmon responded, "With what hands did you get? Besides, you already had your fun. Just let me have a bit of fun, and then I'll let you kill him in the end." Curseacle angrily refused and ordered Delmon to back off. Delmon remarked, "So you've chosen death."

Delmon launched an attack on Curseacle, but Curseacle managed to block it. With a smug smile, Curseacle taunted Delmon, saying, "Just because you're faster than me doesn't mean you're stronger than me. I have more brain cells than you. After all, you're just a dumb demon who thinks they are an angel when they're really not. And those tentacles you have, supposedly shaped like angel wings, are just shaped like butterfly wings. You want to be an angel, but you don't even know what an angel looks like. I don't know why you can't accept that you are a demon and evil, just like me. You are no different than me, probably a little dumber, but that still counts as the same." Delmon froze upon hearing this, his face slowly shifting to anger. Curseacle smiled at Delmon's reaction, but before Curseacle knew it, a fist was sent flying towards him, catching him off guard. Curseacle was sent flying back into a wall, and before he could even get up, Delmon screamed at him with rage and started pummeling him at extreme speeds, beating Curseacle to a pulp.

Lucky Escape🍀

Hiroto regained consciousness just moments before Curseacle told Delmon that he wasn't an angel. He witnessed the consequences of telling Delmon the truth. Fully healed, Hiroto quietly planned to escape through the vents. It was risky, but with both monsters focused on each other, he saw an opportunity. Moving through the door would surely attract their attention, so Hiroto placed his chances of success on escaping through the vents.

Knowing that Curseacle was occupied with Delmon, Hiroto successfully entered the vent unnoticed. Crawling through the vents made a lot of noise, but the monsters were too preoccupied to hear it over Delmon's loud screams. Even after crawling several rooms ahead, Hiroto could still hear Delmon's screams echoing.

Hiroto emerged from the vents and returned to the elevator, only to find it gone, replaced by a door with a lock. He decided to try using the key he had found, and it worked. The door opened to reveal a room with a table holding a shiny silver axe, resembling a relic from the past with heavenly divine power. However, knowing that this place was filled with demons, Hiroto dismissed any thoughts of its divine nature. He explored the room further and found a bed, a toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with appliances such as a toaster, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and refrigerator. The room also had some food, which Hiroto found more appealing than what he had with him. It felt like an apartment, and Hiroto was quite pleased with the discovery.

Before checking the map to see if Delmon was still in the room with Curseacle, Hiroto noticed that the place he was in was covered in a green shade. Wondering about the reason, he suddenly experienced a headache as information flowed into his head, confirming that this room was a safe place. Excited by the prospect, Hiroto admired the cool surroundings and felt relieved to have a bed where he could sleep without worry. Feeling extremely hungry, he decided to warm up some tomato penne soup in the microwave using a bowl provided in the room. After finishing his meal, he set his stopwatch and phone timer before drifting off to sleep, surprised that his phone was still intact. As he closed his eyes, Hiroto drifted into slumber to regain his energy.

Meanwhile, Delmon had finished his rage-filled outburst and landed his final punch on Curseacle. He then searched the room frantically, looking for Hiroto, but to no avail. Frustrated, Delmon angrily walked away, no longer concerned about anyone stealing his kill. He could now take his time, fully immersing himself in the job of being an angel and engraving his god's great will.
