Chapter 34: Thor's Hammer/Helending

The following video below was a live broadcast recording of UBCS units wearing the AAES exoskeleton, group B commander was Corporal {Redacted on request} helmet's camera captured the footage with it's recording function.

It was taken in as a first-person perspective shot. With the corporal was visually holding a rifle newly developed by the weapon team from Hive.

The helmet has prefect clear vision.

With the lower left corner of the the helmets display shows the number of remaining bullets and spare magazines being carried for the rifle.

In the upper right corner is the dynamic detection radar. The five yellow dots are shown as friendly units, and the dense red dots were the zombies in the testing ground.

There was a red crosshair in the centre, which can be used to help calibrate the users shooting.

From the display screen one someone can also see that this helmet has infrared, night vision, thermal imaging, motion capture and various other functional options.

Corporal: Huh—ha—(Because of the confined space within the helmet, Corporal {Redacted}'s breathing sounded more pronounced.)

Halsey's voice came from the side by use of the communication mic: Group B, the boss is watching here, let's start acting~.

Corporal {Redacted}: Instructions received.

The gate in front of the task force opened allowing the camera to view the swarm of zombies.

Corporal: (Holding the gun with his right hand, swung his left hand forward) Group B, advance.

Everyone: Yes Sir.

The corporal and five of his men ran quickly, rushing into the mock arena and lined up.

*Thump!* (There is a sound of the closing of the gate behind him)

At the same time, the normal zombies, zombie dogs, and lickers all discovered their presence.

Due to it's extremely fast speed, other UBCS soldiers were unable to provide any assistance for him at the time.

The angle from the camera view shook violently.

After becoming cleared, as the licker was stepping on the body of the corporal.

Then, from the corporal's perspective quickly got up, raising his left foot before stepping on the licker's head.

*Splat! (Plasma burst sound)

A small amount was blood spilled on the protective cover outside the helmet obscuring the further video.

The content was seen on the central display within the observation room only stopping at the scene where the licker was stepped on and it's head exploded.

Upon seeing this, William beamed with joy and walked slowly to the giant bulletproof glass and looked down.

The trial field that was originally packed with zombies was actually cleaned up under the powerful firepower of only six UBCS wearing AAES.

Though it did show that zombies and lickers are still a great threat.

The explaining was that AAES cannot respond to anomalous containment objects that are too fast or good at sneak attacks.

But if the number is within a controllable range, then AAES still has a very strong defensive effect.

Halsey came to William and said triumphantly: "How about it, boss."

"It's very good!" William nodded fiercely.

The progress on the right was even slower however, with only a grey helmet marking it's existence.

William saw at a glance that the one on the left was Mark VI Thor's Hammer, and the one on the right should be Helendin/Iggdrasil 1.

When the engineers and technicians saw William, they stopped working and said respectfully: "Boss."

However before William could finish what he was saying. Against his will, Halsey let go of his hand that she had still been holding, and went to the centre of the R&D room and hurriedly said: "You all go out, I have something to talk to the boss alone."
