The rays of the early morning sun fell from the sky, bathing a medium-sized apartment in dim light.
A compact young man, roughly 16-17 years old, stood in front of a mirror, looking at his face in confusion.
'How could this happen?' Kevin thought as he glanced in the reflector again. His appearance had completely changed, from an old, rather ugly man, he turned into this? A good-looking, clean-cut man with precise facial features. With strange white hair that fell upon his shoulders as if he was bathed in snow and the most memorable feature, a pair of two black, bottomless eyes
"I can't believe what I'm saying, but I'm ... In the future," Kevin spoke, recalling the somewhat dim images.
From the memories of this body, he found out many unusual and chaotic things about the present.
First of all, he is currently in the 24th century in Japan.
In the 21st century, a huge change occurred in the world.
A black hole appeared in the center of Barcelona, scaring all the residents.
Many scientists moved there, hoping to solve the mysteriousness of the black hole, but it was all in vain.
A strange aura surrounding the hole made it difficult for anyone to approach it. Every time someone tried closing the distance, a strange shockwave would send them back flying..... but that didn't stop the scientists.
They tried watching it, shooting at it, calculating the frequency around it, but nothing worked.
It was a mystery.
Many years passed this way, without any progress in this regard, but one day the world changed.
It is also known as the beginning of a new age, the age of desolation and death.
A jet-black creature emerged from the darkness.
It was similar to humans, yet completely different. The Spanish military immediately sent their troops in hopes of cooperating with the creature, or as it is now called "Demon", but no one expected the alien to suddenly attack.
The soldiers tried to fight it off, but it was by no means possible. It had immense power, so strong that it destroyed the building in one blow.
It was a complete massacre, no one was left alive.
The situation was desperate, but it became even more dreadful after more demons came out of the hole. The world was shaken, no one understood how it was possible to have such incredible strength.
But the power wasn't the craziest thing about the aliens, because some of them had certain supernatural abilities, such as controlling fire.
No country had enough power to fight off the monsters, but luckily the creatures stayed on the land of Spain as if they were waiting for something.
The people, remained vigilant, watching the creatures from afar. Millions of soldiers were sent to the borders as part of the defense, though everyone knew it was only to calm the inhabitants.
However, another crisis descended upon humanity. Animals all over the world began to evolve.
At first, it was thought to be a blessing from the gods, as the more the animals mutated, the more power they gained.
Mankind believed that with these animals at their side, it would be possible to fight the demons.
Yet, it was all a dream. As the beasts evolved, their minds became unstable and thus the term "Magical Beasts" was born.
The war between humans and beasts began. Unfortunately, the weapons against the beasts were not as effective as they were thought to be.
Humanity was slowly but surely dying out.
The desperate situation forced humanity to unite and so the "World Government" was established.
You may be wondering if this changed anything?
No, it didn't.
Instead, the frontlines grew fiercer by the second, until lastly, demons made their move.
Countless black jet creatures attacked, leaving no trace of humans.
It was complete carnage.
Everywhere the demons went, blood flowed, heads fell, and the land shook.
Due to the countless advances of both the demons and the beasts, humanity became obsolete.
A few months, all it took for humanity to be annihilated were a few months.
Some lucky people managed to stay alive precisely because they lived on Island, far away from the mainland.
Life on the refuge was hard, with magical beasts constantly attacking.
Until finally, a glimpse of hope appeared for mankind, the generation of Providences was born. They were different from the others because they possessed what was called "God Power". The power to be able to compete with demons.
The remaining scientists were very interested in this ability and after extensive research, strange energy was discovered in the air.
It was called [Mana].
The energy that could make people reach an inexplicable level of power.
And so, a glimmer of hope arose for humanity.
Humankind rose up and fought against the beasts, till finally deciding to take back their land.
And thus 300 years of constant fighting began.
"This is too crazy..." said Kevin, pinching himself once again, hoping that this was all just a dream.
The body Kevin stole actually had the same name as his. Kevin really wondered if this was just a coincidence.
Well, that doesn't really matter.
What matters is that this body is completely useless, no divine power, no talent to cultivate.
Although Kevin can be considered strong during World War II, in this era he is nothing, absolutely nothing.
Having no strength means having no money, it's a good thing he's still 16 years old because the government gives orphans some free money.
Yes, he is an orphan. The worst thing that can happen at this time is not having parents.
"What the hell... am I supposed to do now?"
*Knock*
*Knock*
A soft knock on the door woke Kevin from his thoughts.
Slowly, he got up and opened the door.
A beautiful woman stood on the other side of the apartment.
"Kevin, are you okay? I was really worried when you suddenly fainted," she spoke with a worried look on her face.
"Yeah, you don't have to worry Sophia," Kevin replied with a smile as he tapped her head.
This girl is Sophia Dolton, Kevin's girlfriend and the first person he met after transmigrating.
As hard as it is to believe, Kevin managed to get himself a lover.
Well, he is really attractive, but an inferior talent in cultivation and no god power made girls uninteresting.
Fortunately, Sophia wasn't like others, she didn't judge by talent but by personality. He is immensely grateful to her because she was the pillar Kevin could always lean on, the only person who ever cared about him.
As to why was he slapped?
Well...because Kevin wanted to take their relationship to the next phase and Sophia, as it seems, wasn't ready yet.
'Although the real Kevin loved her...it's different for me, I'm 43 years old in total after all' Kevin thought looking at the cute, slightly flushed face, 'or maybe not'
"Sophia, thank you for visiting me, but I still have a slight headache. I need some time to myself"
"Okay...I'm sorry for slapping you so hard, I should have controlled my power better"
"No problem."
"Alright, I'll meet you at school then" she said before cutely walking away.
A school...
Or rather the so called hell. For someone like Kevin, school is a literal hell, because he is... weak.
Most school activities involve improving the powers or sparring. And Kevin, a normal human without any supernatural powers, had to fight these monsters.
"Ahh..." he took another deep breath and flopped down on the bed, "What... Should I do now?"

[Accept/Reject]
A bluish screen actualized itself in front of Kevin, scaring the hell out of him. He quickly jumped up from the bed getting into a fighting stance.
But the screen didn't move from the spot, as if it was stuck in mid-air.
Kevin stared at it from afar after finally deciding to check it out.
He saw a translucent text on the loose screen that said whether to accept or reject.
"This is too mysterious," Kevin spoke, reaching his hand out for the reject button.
He pressed the button and strangely the screen felt...hard? No, it was more like a thick liquid...
[Congratulations on acquiring the Necromancer System]
"Ehhh?"
