He followed his father to the solar where they discussed the matters of the realm and the upcoming visit to King's Landing his father asked him about Tyrion and Alan's heart skipped a beat at the thought of his father knowing Tyrion's marriage to Tysha nonetheless he told Tyrion was happy and fine with his new role as acting lord of castemere.

Tywin told Alan about how the crown was asking money from them again and again and how much he has given to them . Alan knew about the debt of crown but felt anger at the master of coin for the whooping loss of about 2 million coins . A Lannister always pays his debt and Petyr will have his due

Soon the family joined together for dinner and Alan started telling his adventure's to his cousin's as they were eager to learn more about the famed Young Lion. His Uncle Gerion expressed his desire to travel to old valyria in search of the famed Lannister sword Brightroar lost by King Tommen Lannister. Alan knew that the jouney would be in vain and in the end his uncle will ultimately die leaving his cousin orphaned. Alan liked his uncle as he was fun as well as knew his father always had a soft spot for Gerion

After dinner Alan saw how his uncle Gerion approached Tywin and asked him for a favor. He said that he had always dreamed of visiting the ruins of Old Valyria, the ancient homeland of the dragonlords and the source of Valyrian steel. He said that he had heard rumors of treasures and secrets hidden there, and that he wanted to see them for himself. He said that he had found a ship and a crew willing to take him there, but he needed Tywin's permission and support.

Tywin looked at his brother with a mix of amusement and annoyance. He knew that Gerion was the most adventurous and reckless of his siblings, always seeking new experiences and challenges. He also knew that Gerion was fond of Joy, his bastard daughter by a common woman, he had raised her as his own and treated her well and he wanted to legitimize her. Tywin asked Gerion why he wanted to go to Old Valyria, knowing that it was a dangerous and cursed place. He said that many had tried to explore it before, but none had returned alive. He said that it was a fool's errand, a waste of time and money. He also asked him why he wanted to legitimize Joy, He said that it was a risky move, a sign of weakness and sentimentality.He said that he wanted to legitimize Joy because he loved her and wanted her to have a better life. He said that she was smart and beautiful, worthy of the Lannister name.Tywin sighed and shook his head. He knew that Gerion was stubborn and passionate, not easily swayed by reason or logic. He also knew that Gerion was loyal and brave, not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He decided to grant him his wish, but with some conditions. He told him that he would give him some gold and supplies for his voyage, but not too much. He said that he would not stop him from going to Old Valyria, but he would expect him to return . He also told him that he would legitimize Joy only if he would return. Gerion agreed to Tywin's terms, feeling grateful and excited

Alan who heard all this also decided to help his uncle by designing a more suitable ship for his voyage. He used his knowledge of engineering and architecture to create a sturdy and fast vessel that could withstand the storms and waves of the Smoking Sea. He also equipped it with some weapons and tools that could be useful in case of danger or discovery.

He also asked his uncle to wear a mask when he entered Old Valyria. He said that he had heard stories of a deadly plague that had ravaged the land after the Doom, a disease that caused fever, madness and death. He said that he did not want his uncle to catch it or bring it back with him. He gave him a mask made of leather and cloth, with a filter of herbs and spices that could purify the air.

He hoped his uncle will return this time even if he didn't return he has already decided to legitimize Joy
