He heard a knock on the door and a familiar voice. "Brother, are you awake? It's time for breakfast."

It was Jaime Lannister, his eldest brother and the commander of the Kingsguard. Alan felt a pang of fear and resentment. He had always hated Jaime in his previous life, for his arrogance and cruelty. He wondered how Jaime would treat him now that he was his brother.

He forced himself to speak in a calm and polite tone. "Yes, Jaime. I'm awake. Come in."

The door opened and Jaime entered the room. He was tall and handsome, with golden hair and green eyes. He wore a white cloak over his armor, and a sword at his side. He smiled when he saw Alan, but there was something cold and mocking in his smile.

"Good morning, Alan. You look terrible. Did you have a bad dream?" he asked.

Alan shook his head. He didn't want to tell Jaime about his dream, or rather, his memory. He had dreamed of his previous life, of how he had died in a car accident and somehow ended up in this world. He didn't know why or how it happened, but he knew it was real.

"No, I'm fine. Just a bit tired," he lied.

Jaime shrugged. "Well, you better get ready. Father wants to see you in the great hall. He has some news for you."

Alan felt a chill run down his spine. He knew that Tywin Lannister was not a man to be trifled with. He was the most powerful lord in Westeros, and the Hand of the King. He was also ruthless and cunning, and had no qualms about crushing anyone who opposed him or threatened his family's interests.

"What news?" Alan asked nervously.

Jaime grinned wickedly. "You'll see soon enough. Come on, don't keep him waiting."

He turned around and walked out of the room, leaving Alan alone with his thoughts.

Alan got out of bed and dressed himself in fine clothes befitting his status. He looked at himself in the mirror and felt a surge of disbelief. He took a deep breath and left the room. He followed Jaime to the great hall, where Tywin Lannister awaited him with a grim expression on his face.

Alan wondered what news Tywin had for him, and what it would mean for his future.

He hoped it was good news.

But he doubted it.
