142. Bedtime story

Natasha was left alone, throwing a tantrum.

Meier said he had to talk to Jace, and after waiting for an hour, nobody came back.

After looking for someone for ages, she found the butler, who informed her of everyone leaving because of the death of the mother of their young Master. The butler himself had heard it curtly from Meier, and was still shaken.

"What?" Meier's mother was still alive? Natasha was stunned. But then she remembered, it wasn't strange because her son was too.

In her last life, Maria had killed herself and her husband because her son had died.

Luckily, she had been away with Lance that evening and additionally wasn't deemed important enough by Maria to include her in the murder-suicide plot.

Wait, why have they left her here?

"Why didn't they take me with them?" She asked in exasperation.

The butler looked at her strangely,

"It is a family issue."
