"Thank you so much, Sir" I was still sitting on the floor in shock at the random assault.
"There's no need to thank me, people like her are the reason the world is such a mess" it was clear as day that he was angry, but he still reached a hand over to help me.
It was the hand with all his bracelets. I remembered how I was supposed to meet him after school, although I wasn't going to go through with the agreement anymore because of my shift.
It seemed like I got lucky.
Smiling polite, I hesitantly grasped his hand, my fingers brushed against the bracelets.
Collective images rushed past my mind until finally the images slowed down and started to make sense.
A girl with crooked glasses was pressed on a desk forcefully. Mr Nathaniel-only he was much younger, possibly in his late twenties, leaned on top of her- chocking her with his hands.
He spoke, voice raspy and breathless.
"Yes, that's right. Just die now, the world will be a much better place without you" he smiled, revealing white pearly teeth.
The scene warped until I could make out another scenario.
This time, Mr Nathaniel stood in front of an open window, his right hand was pressed against a lean back belonging to a boy who looked extremely annoyed.
"You see that? That's a lovely view of the track field, isn't it?" His voice was smooth and informative drastically different compared to his earlier tone.
"So?" The boy had his hands in his pockets but seemed to puff out his chest in a delinquent kind of manner similar to George.
In a matter of seconds, the boys body was pushed out of the window. So fast he couldn't retaliate to save himself instead the only rejection heard was the scream that stretched past horizons, until a loud bang echoed in the classroom and the screaming ended.
I felt a sickening dizziness overwhelm me as the scene once again morphed into something else.
This scene caused my blood to run cold.
Mr Nathaniel held a knife with one hand to the throat of a young boy holding a knife in the other one which he forced into the hand of the young boy. Manoeuvring it for him.
Another boy slept quietly on a desk right before them.
"He's the one who bullied you, called you names, made you feel worthless. It's time you do some cleaning now, Johnny. Kill him." He whispered harshly as he forced the boy closer to the sleeping boy.
"N-no! This isn't right!" The boy who was forcefully pushed towards the napping boy strongly rejected the idea. His strength however, was no match for Mr Nathaniel's.
Soon the knife was plunged into the sleeping boy who didn't stir, strangely. And again. And again.
Blood splashed in droplets. Walls were painted. I felt a strong gag in my mouth as bile threatened to escape me.
The images vanished leaving Mr Nathaniel's concerned face in clear sight.
"Are you okay? Ms Hamper?" He peered closer you my face causing me to wobble back.
I was seconds away from barfing with no bin sight so my only option was to run back in the building which I did.
The next place I could be found was the girls bathroom where I was hurling my guts out. Tears streamed down my face and my hands trembled.
That was... disgusting.
More bile raised but nothing came out.
I had to wash myself up for my shift but, I couldn't find the energy to stand up.
He had to go. He needed to be locked up forever.
I struggled to stand up, imitating a new born deer until I could finally stand.
I quickly cleaned up and left for my shift.
Before I left the building though, I called Kevin.
"Hello, Kevin speaking"
"I'm all for it."
"That was quick?"
"He's dangerous and I don't think he'll change his ways anytime soon" I knew I was saying this to someone twice as dangerous but I'll deal with that later.
"Hmm"
The line was silent for a bit until I spoke hesitantly.
"Are you planning on killing me after this?" It was a question that haunted me constantly.
I heard a laugh come from the other line.
"No... do you want me to?"
"Of course not!"
A silence was again overtook, until Kevin cleared his throat.
"Your really strong for someone who doesn't have the best people supporting them"
My throat tightened at his words not at all expecting them. But, it was nice like what a family member would say. I smiled.
"Thank you"
The line went dead and I carried on making my way to work.
