Chapter 15: The Mourning of the Heroes

Huguel won. He managed to kill the babies destined for sin with his artifact. He managed to alter reality with his plan.

He caused an unprecedented tragedy. He caused the deaths of millions of innocent people. He caused the pain of millions of mothers.

Mothers across the galaxy wept for their children. They felt an unspeakable pain in their hearts. They felt an irreparable loss in their lives.

They didn't understand what had happened. They didn't know who was responsible. They didn't know how to react.

They just cried.

Meanwhile, Ana Cruz, Rex, Nikking and Nikkomam escaped the explosion caused by Huguel's artifact. They used the Nikkomam's power of light to create a portal that took them away from the battlefield. They went back to the cave where they had hidden earlier.

They were hurt and exhausted. They had fought with all their strength against the villains. They had tried to stop Huguel's plan.

But they couldn't.

They saw the news about babies dying in their mothers' wombs. They saw the images of mothers crying for their children. They saw the consequences of Huguel's plan.

They were shocked and saddened. They were angry and guilty. They became desperate and hopeless.

They also cried.

They cried for babies who died without having a chance to live. They wept for mothers who suffered without having a reason to. They wept for the changed world without having a choice in it.

They also wept for the Bee Woman. They didn't know if she had survived the explosion of Huguel's artifact. They didn't know if she was still alive.

They wanted to know about her. They wanted to see her. They wanted to save her.

But they didn't know how.

The heroes' mourning was underway. They had escaped the villains and returned to the cave. They had seen the tragedy caused by Huguel's plan. They had wept for the dead and the living.

Would they be able to find the Bee Woman? Would they be able to save her? Would they be able to fix the world? These questions would be answered in the next chapter of Zombo Stars.
