Seals

The mouths of those two was left agape. They were in shock from what they saw, but that didn't ended there.

"Sir, may I take the test again?" Von was smiling. Like a demon smiling at his prey.

"Sure. Go ahead." While her head was mushy, she can't help herself from stopping him.

Von walked towards the platform. He poured a drop of mana inside the ball.

The ball glowed. A blinding light was seen. After that, twenty colors could be seen on the ball.

A twenty element mana concentration!

A high five woke up the two adults from dreaming. They were both startled.

"Sir, we wish to hide the results of our tests. Please, leave an average mark on our identity cards and also, we wish to hide our true identities." Von calmly said.

The principal was slumped down and sat on a chair. His eyes were dispirited. Mei just nodded and smiled at them.

"Take the third test." He anxiously said.

The third test is in a form of a room. The room is transparent and an apparatus is on the middle.

The apparatus is a small ball, floating in the middle, about the size on an eye of a normal human male.

"You two can take the test together. Just stand there and don't move." Mei informed them.

They did what they were told to do. The twins walked forward and entered the room.

A few moments later, the two walked out and each had a piece of blank paper.

Mei took it from them and poured mana into it. Suddenly, a black thin line was seen on the blank paper. Without keen eyes, no one can see the line. Afterwards, a set of words came out, and Mei dropped on the floor.

The principal ran to her and held the paper in her hands.

"Monsters." He sighed and stood up.

"Mei, give them their uniforms for the Ninth Plaza. Bring them to their dorm, and exempt them on the registration. Give them an average result on the identification cards. Then call those three idiots and call for a staff meeting. You may go now." The principal said while walking outside the room.

"Let's go, silly boys." She uttered.

:If you are asking why did I add that word "silly boys", don't bother asking. Freaks!

They walked out of the room and went to the staircases. Mei had a not normal mood today. She was a bit joyful, a bit sad and a bit angry.

Joy for they found two gems. Two unpolished gems that would shine if subjected to tests.

Sad, because she is a Master Teacher in the Wind-Soundwave Department. She had no way to teach them anything.

Angry, because, these two, I mean three, including her man, hid something from her. They are the best in hiding things.

A loud thud eased her anger a bit and made her nervous at the same time. She looked back and saw the two of them fell like a rock at the last step of the staircase.

She sighed and saw their faces paled.

The third test also tests endurance. If you last enough for a minute, your endurance would be high, but will also take up all your energy.

But these two still walked down the staircase before falling down. They lasted for half a minute, but they can still move. What an endurance!

Amidst her praise, she realized a problem. They were boys! And! She! Can't! Two! Monsters! At! The! Same! Time!

:Okay that's a bit overreacting.

She used her wind element to carry the two and asked some students to help her. The males volunteered. Why?

Because if Jay and Titus are the most handsome men in the campus, Aisha and Mei are the madonnas. Every student above the age of eighteen can't help themselves drooling at their bodies and figures. They were like two goddesses, protected by two devils. And that "devils" were the "gods" in the eyes of the female students.

:A very conflicting sentence isn't it?

Soon, they were on their room and Mei went out. She called her three teammates and moved towards their very challenging task for today, a staff meeting!

:Like the hell, man. Who wouldn't be challenged in a four hour staff meeting with only one person speaking. Is that even a meeting?

As soon as they arrived, the principal, turned his gaze upon them, then looked at the four seats beside him. Aisha smiled bit the other three knew that this isn't anything funny.

"They're here so let's start." The principal spoke, throwing two papers on the desk. Mei is familiar to those papers, so she tucked her lips and didn't say anything.

The two papers then exuded light, then it was tore into pieces and scattered around the room. The pieces were distributed evenly, each of them having two. The room wasn't filled with litter. The pieces were exact with the number of members. Then the paper exuded light again, turning into the whole page.

The words written there were the same as the others, like a xerox machine, but magical.

The others looked at the results and after a few moments, a man hit the table with his palm and stood up.

He was almost at the age of forty, slim and wore a white robe.

"I don't believe this!" He said.

"Then you can test them by yourself, Francis." The principal added.

"Sir!" Titus raised his hand.

"Yes, my son-in-law?" The principal asked.

"Our university is blessed. A month ago, we heard that the Supremes were recruiting again. These two can help us, and I'm sure of it. Their seals can help us on our way to unifying the planet." They all nodded at him.

Seals? What are seals?

:It's my idea so better explain it, right?

Laws are different from each other. There is the Fire Law, which governs fire. They were fire wielders and can use fire to anything they want.

A normal entity can have a maximum of nine seals, it can be for auxiliary, for defending, for controling, for recovering, for attacking, for more agile movements and for precision and accuracy.

These are the seven domains of the laws, or can be said as uses.

There are three types of laws. The Elemental Decree, the Weapon Act, and the Beast Ordinance.

Laws have seals, which help them to release power.

One can obtain seal slots through age or law breakthroughs. An entity will have a seal at the age of ten. After a year, he will have another. After two years, he will have another. So on and so forth. In short, he can have nine seals at the age of fifty-five. Law breakthroughs are the other one. It can be through continuous exposure to the law or understanding of it.

Seals can be obtained through killing mana beasts. Mana beasts are special beasts that can use two elements. Elemental Decree  and Beast Ordinance can get a seal like this. For Weapon Act, they may use their weapon and have an element attack or auxiliaries.

Seals have different parts: the outer ring, containing the blades and the bands, the inclination, and the inner ring which contains the core.

The outer ring is the largest part. It can have a diameter of twenty centimeters and can also be two meters wide. It's thickness is twenty percent of the diameter.

The band is a second element that can be obtained through killing a mana beast. For example, a Dark-Flame Lion can produce a black ring with a red band in it. The size of the band is one third of the thickness of the outer ring.

Blades are the age identifier of rings. Beasts can only have an eight element mana concentration. So, the maximum number of blades is eight. Beast mana concentration is their age. They were a bit different from entities. They would awaken their first element at the age of one, and awaken another at the age of two. They would stagnate for four years and at the age of six, another mana concentration will be added. At the age of ten, they would have four. Theu would have another at fifteen. At the age of thirty-six, they would have an eight mana concentration, but their strength rivals fifteen nine sealed entities. They can kill them in one go, so killing them is like a dream.

The inclination is the space between the outer and the inner rings. It can be forwards, backwards, or aligned. Forward inxlination speaks of power, defense or speed. Backward inclination may be accuracy and precision, auxiliary or recovery. Aligned one is controlled.

The inner ring contains the core. It is fifty percent the diameter of the outer ring. It doesn't have amy ornaments or whatever.

The core is the most important part. It has three kinds, linear, planar and symbolic. Linear can be singular or dual. Dual line is far stronger than singular. The thicker the line, the more powerful it is. Planar can be triangular, quadrilateral, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, or octagonal. Symbolic produces an image of the law, it can be one, two or three symbols.

A standard seal for singular line up to triangular is three bladed.

As for quadrilateral to octagonal is six blades.

Symbolic can have seven or eight.

A standard configuration of seals is two linears, four planars and three symbolic.

The first seal will always be linear, the fourth one will always be planar and the seventh one will always be symbolic.

And an octagonal planar is a rare sight. Why?

First, at the age of nineteen, mana concentration goes up by one. A normal human would have six. At nineteen, without any mana breakthrough, it would add one. Same as at the age of thirty-eight. If an entity has double laws, two mana concentration would be added. If one had have a seven element mana concentration, he can't make his seal be planar. If he can't achieve an eight element mana concentration, he can't have a symbolic seal. Double laws should have even mana concentration bases. If they don't achieve eight element mana concentration, they can't go to planar. If they can't have ten element, they can't achieve symbolic.

Secondly, an octagonal core must have a seven element mana concentrated beast. In short, seven blades. It may harm the seal breaker or may be difficult to fight.

Third, is the law breakthroughs. One can have as many as eight breakthroughs in his lifetime. He can also have as few as none. But, after having a third seal, the law breakthrough can only be three. In short, six is the most numbers of breakthroughs in a lifetime of a normal person. The fourth breakthrough in this stage might end up destroying all his seals. The fifth may affect sanity. So they would wait nine years to have an octagonal core.

But, there is always an exception.

A Supreme can have a star-shaped symbol on tbeir tenth seal. The seal has nine blades, and can have two or more bands.

The tenth seal surpass all normality.

And Supremes have a tenth seal.
