Seeing Huo Yao beating their group, the others got angry and aggressively charged at her together.

It didn't take long for Huo Yao to defeat this group of thugs. Her every action was brutal, filled with lethal intent, targeting soft tissues that hurt the most but were not vital.

Previously, for their convenience, they had scared people away from this place, making it even more deserted. Their agonizing cries of pain in this quiet location sounded particularly terrifying.

Huo Yao's swift and decisive actions left Ye Nian Nian speechless.

She had previously begged to be released, but Huo had single-handedly beaten down the thugs with ease, as if her slim body contained an unexpected surge of power.

Today, Huo Yao had left Li Jie to look after her children; otherwise, she wouldn't have had to take action against these mere street thugs.

She stepped on the leader's head with force and demanded, "Why did you attack her, hmm?" She emphasized her last syllable, causing the leader intense pain.

The leader, in agony, screamed, "We don't know. Someone just gave us a call and sent a picture of this girl, saying we had to humiliate her and take some nude photos."

He quickly added, "We didn't get the chance to do anything; before we could act, she started to wail like a pig, and then you came here. You can ask her if you don't believe me."

Huo Yao observed that Ye Nian Nian's clothes were still neat and clean, confirming the leader's words.

She increased the pressure on his head and asked, "How much did the person pay for this? Was it a guy or a girl?"

"It was a girl. She paid 30,000 and said she would pay the remaining 20,000 after she got the photos," the thug replied.

Huo Yao turned to look at Ye Nian Nian and remarked, "Ye family's heiress is only worth fifty thousand? Tsk. Who did you provoke that's so cheap?"

She asked casually and, without waiting for an answer, demanded the thug's phone. The leader quickly handed it over.

Huo Yao checked the phone number and skillfully hacked into the owner of the number's mobile phone.

Ye Nian Nian cautiously asked, "Sister-in-law, what are you doing?"

Huo Yao kept her head down and replied, "I am not your sister-in-law; don't call me that. You don't need to know what I am doing."

"Oh," Ye Nian Nian muttered to herself, realizing that Huo Yao still hadn't forgiven her, which made her mood even worse.

Huo Yao glanced at the mumbling girl from the corner of her eye and inquired, "Where is your bodyguard?"

Ye Nian Nian began fiddling with the hem of her dress and explained, "I live in a dormitory now, so I refused my brother's offer to send a bodyguard around the girl's dormitory. Anyway, the dormitory is supposed to be safe."

Huo Yao sarcastically replied, "Yeah, I can see how safe the dormitory is."

She looked at the information of the owner of the phone number and asked Ye Nian Nian, "Do you know anyone named Ruan Xue?"

Ye Nian Nian widened her eyes upon realizing who had sent the thugs after her. "She is my good friend and my roommate. Why would she do this?"

Huo Yao casually tossed the thug's phone aside and said, "You'll have to ask her yourself if you want to know the reason." She then called the police to report the crime.

"I'll wait here until the police arrive; you handle the rest. You better call your brother for a lawyer," Huo Yao instructed.

Panicking, Ye Nian Nian attempted to plead with her, "Sister-in-law, I—"

Huo Yao stopped her coldly, saying, "I told you not to call me that."

Ye Nian Nian understood her mistake in panic and corrected herself, "Sister Huo, are you leaving? Please wait until my brother comes."

Huo Yao felt she was wasting her time with a rich, pampered lady for no reason but still nodded.
