Chapter 7

The next day, he went to Strucker, to submit the report about his mission.

Levi's story in the file was "He searched for Hilbert, by going through all the old buildings. When he found Hilbert, Hilbert immediately committed suicide to prevent Levi from interrogating him.

Levi tried to stop Hilbert by throwing his knife, but failed as it only injured his left hand. To destroy the info Hilbert had, he burnt the whole room."

Strucker read it and asked "Levi, why did you only search for him in old buildings?"

"Old buildings have less people roaming around it, as they are dirty. It would be the perfect place tk hide, instead of a crowded place where you wouldn't even know if your enemy is in the crowd." Levi replied.

Strucker smiled and said "Good job. I have sent my statement about your performance, as our agents couldn't track you. I am impressed as how you managed to escape the eyes of our expert field agents."

"Expect field agents?!!! They hardly looked 20. I am pretty sure they were the useless young agents that S.H.I.E.L.D. uses for useless things like monitoring exams." Levi said in his head while ge replied "I just wanted to put my training to the test and guess I was successful."

From his side, he heard Hary click his tongue. Strucker said "You may leave now. It might take a week for the results from the main branch to arrive. Till then, you can do whatever you want."

Levi nodded and left. He returned to his room and just slept the whole day. Since it was a weekend, he didn't have to go to school.

The next day, there was someone knocking on his door, which woke him up. He dragged himself to the door and opened it.

He heard a voice he didn't hear for a while "Hi Levi, how have you been?"

Levi recognized the owner of the voice and that woke him up completely.

The other person asked "Can I come in?"

Levi opened the door completely and stepped aside to let him in.

Levi sat on his bed while the other person sat on a chair, facing Levi. Levi asked "So, Mr. Coulson, what brings you here?"

Coulson smiled and brought out a file. Levi took it and opened it.

It was his own file, with reports of uis training till date.

Levi asked with a confused look "I was told it would take a week for it to arrive?"

"Yes, but you are different. Since I was the one who recruited you, you received special attention from my superiors.

After observing you for a while, we have found your behavior unique. We have decided to keep your results on hold until we get a better picture of your nature." Coulson said.

"How long?" Levi asked and Coulson replied "Since you started early, we have decided to wait until you are 18. That should be three years from now.

After that, if you want to go to a university, you will be funded by the agency, but you will have to work for us after you graduate."

Levi had no choice but to agree. He either had to pick Shield or Hydra, or become homeless.

After talking for five more minutes, Coulson left and Levi laid down on his bed.

He already had a plan in his head and this three years break were the perfect thing he needed.

He went to the restaurant that night to tell Strucker that he was leaving the apartment.

When he entered the restaurant, it was empty, as it was closed.

He walked towards the kitchen and was about to open the door when he heard Hary, from behind the door, say "Sir, I respect your judgement, but how could you send Levi to kill Hilbert. If he had discovered something about us from Hilbert, Shield would have known of our existence."

Intending to listen to the conversation, Levi didn't open the door and placed an ear against the door.

Strucker said "I have been a Hydra agent long before you and I know what I am doing. Levi was sent here because he was a potential Hydra candidate and we are supposed to bring him to our side.

So, even if he had discovered that Hilbert is a Shield agent and had intel about the Hydra agents that infiltrated Shield, it wouldn't be bad.

If he had discovered that intel, he could have used it to gain a higher rank in Shield. The fact that he didn't, only means that he isn't a threat to Hydra, or he didn't find anything."

Hary then asked "If he is a potential Hydra candidate, why not invite him?"

Strucker said "Stewart was also found dead, and he died close to the building Hilbert died in. I don't want to think that it was just a coincidence, as our agents found out that Stewart was helping him. We need to observe him more."

Levi thought in his head "That's why Hilbert thought I worked for Hydra. He had info about Hydra, but didn't know whom to trust.

So, he ran away. The Hydra agents in Shield managed to make it look like Hilbert stole secret Shield info and ran. They really are cunning."

Levi left the place without any noise and informed strucker about him transferring to a boarding school.

Since he was already in Sokovia, his primary goal was to find the Maximoff twins.

It wasn't that difficult. He made two clones and made them use transformation jutsu and visit different schools.

Since he didn't know their age, or how they looked, he just decided to go for the list of twins who are 8-15 years old.

He used a different face to visit every school, making it difficult to track him.

He also didn't just go and steal it, he just bribed someone from the school, so no one would know about it.

And after searching for them for a month, he found their address, but didn't immediately go to meet them, as he was busy with other stuff.

Levi was in his room, he made some weird drawings on a book and placed it down on his bed while he stood before it.

"Now that the preparation is done, it's finally time to try the thing I have been wanting to do ever since I came to this world." Levi said.

He made some hand seals and said "Here goes, Flying Thunder God Jutsu."
