Chapter 10

Seeing the disguised skrull run towards Coulson, Vers became alert. She observed everything around her.

Fury asked Coulson "Do you know him?" and the skrull disguised as Coulson also understood that the person coming towards him was a skrull.

Coulson's expression changed and Vers immediately caught that moment.

She charged her fist and released a photon blast at the skrull who was brought there by Levi.

Levi didn't want his effort to go to waste, so he decided to teleport the skrull back to his room.

He teleported to the skrull, but wasn't faster than the photon blast.

It hit the skrull, sending both the skrull and Levi flying. Nick shouted "What are you doing?"

"Doing my duty as the member of the Kree Starforce." she replied.

From a building nearby, a skrull, disguised as a surfer, shot Vers with some alien gun, which hit her on her back and managed to injure her.

She felt the burn from the attack and turned immediately to shot a photon blast, but she missed her target due to the pain.

Hearing th noises from outside, Coulson came running from the store he was investigating and looked at Nick and everyone around him.

There were two young men, in their 20s, on the ground near a person who looked like himself.

One young man had burn marks on his left while the other was just gripping his hand in pain.

The person who was gripping his hand in pain, was suddenly covered with white smoke and he turned into someone he recognized.

Nick looked at Coulson,who just left the store and shouted "What the f*ck is happening here? A young man just magically appeared and turned into a kid. There is another Coulson and weapons from movies in real life."

The real Coulson got closer to the group and looked at the kid on the ground. He asked "What are you doing here?"

Nick asked "Do you know this kid?" and Coulson replied "This is Levi, who was supposed to be in Sokovia."

"Now do you believe what I just said." Vers said pointing to the other young man, who slowly turned into a skrull.

The fake Coulson wanted to escape, but Vers caught his neck and refused to let go.

Coulson asked Levi "How did you get here? I was with you before I left Sokovia. Did you follow me?"

"I can explain everything but first, stop that crazy lady before she does something crazy." Levi said.

"Who are you calling crazy?" Vers said. Fury also needed answers, so he said to Vers "I think it would be better to relax and talk it out. You are also injured."

Both Fury and Vers were still suspicious of Levi's identity, but they somehow agreed to talk it out. Vers said "Bring them with us or else, they will just call the others for help." and Fury agreed.

The skrull Vers caught, tried to free himself. Levi said "Calm down, I know about you guys. This skrull explained it. Trust me for now."

Obviously he didn't trust Levi, but seeing that a skrull did trust him, he said "Even if all of us dies, we will still not give up."

They moved to a restaurant, which was Levi's idea, and ordered a burger with fries.

Fury looked at the two skrulls enjoying the food and stuffing their face like they were starving. He turned to Levi and said "Now start talking"

Vers, who was treating her wounds while trying to communicate with her Starforce, also started listening with full attention.

Levi said "I met this skrull when I went out to eat. He was unconscious in an alley. I brought him to my room and after a few minutes, he woke up.

I convinced him that I didn't want to harm him. He explained his situation and I agreed to help."

"So, you want to help skrulls conquer your planet. Are all humans like you?" Vers said with an angry and disgusted face.

"Well, there are some humans like that, but I don't want to hear that from a human." Levi said.

"What do you mean?" asked Vers and Fury.

Levi replied "Skrulls have a device that can scan memories. When they used it on her, they found out that she was a human from earth."

Vers jumped up from her chair and shouted "Stop it. I have heard enough of your lies. Those were some illusions the skrull put in my head." while pointing her charged fist towards Levi.

Levi, who should be scared, smiled and said "Don't tell me you actually believe that the Kree gave you power. If they could do that, they would be ruling the whole universe by now.

If my guess is correct, you had those powers and they decided to wipe out your memories to use you."

Fury stopped Levi and said "Now, I don't think that's accurate. We don't have humans that can shoot energy blasts out of their hands. And how do we know you aren't making all this up?"

The skrull who came with Levi said "I gave him all the data I had on my storage device. He should be able to read it with the modified box that I tweaked."

Fury asked Levi "What is he talking about?" and Levi replied "He modified my computer and now it had become more advanced."

"Then, why didn't you report all this to me?" Coulson asked.

Levi replied "Would you believe me if I said I found an alien and he modified my computer to an alien computer."

"Then, I would like you to hand the computer over to Shield, where we can study it and improve the technology of our world." Fury said and Levi was itching to punch him in the face.

Levi controlled himself and said "If you find it, you can keep it. I will not bring it to you."

Fury sighed and said to Coulson "Do you understand why everyone were against recruiting kids into Shield. All they know about a spy is from tv shows and movies."

Vers, who was in a mental conflict, kept murmuring "You are lying... you are lying..... you are lying.... you are lying.... "

She didn't want to believe what Levi was saying, but her dreams and the fact that only she received powers among all Kree made her doubt her whole life till then.

She said to Levi "Prove it that I am a human. If you can't, I will kill you." and Levi smiled.

He said "I can show your life here on earth, but I don't have access to those files. I can prove it to you in a different way."
