Kanilo’s new found ability and my coming up as a legends prophet.

The arena matches keep going for roughly about an hour and a half with no noticeable pups from what i can recall. Then I see kanilo go up and it's already noticed that I'm excited which prompts a question from father, "you see the potential in kalino that I saw, right?"

I respond honestly, "he is calm,collected, and powerful. Even after the injuries I gave him, he still thrives on. If it wasn't for my experience at the rising, he definitely would be your son instead of me"

He looks at me and father is definitely happy to hear that but the confused manas from mother and Levien shows that he isn't showing it. He definitely has one hell of a poker face.

We all watch as he goes up against a pup that I remember being named tarper from previous matches and stands no chance since his horn is tiny and barely even looks like a horn. So far what I saw is that he will use his speed to out maneuver his opponents and stab them with his lil dagger. This works against those who don't have any modifications, but kalino isn't one to fall for tricks easily. Tarper stands absolutely no chance and his mana shows it.

The adult gives the signal and it just became a game of cat and mouse for a moment until I see what tarper is trying to do. He has less mass but definitely has high endurance as he is going at a steady pace and kalino is having a hard time getting him.

I turn to father, "He is definitely gonna be the winner. It is shown in his way to deceive those who wish to deceive him"

Father turns and asks, "how do you see this? I presumed that kalino is exerting himself too much"

I respond casually, "kalino is smarter than that, you should know this since it's obvious that he gets it from his father. They both aren't using much energy but kalino knows to show slight weaknesses to provoke the enemy"

Father looks down and sees it. Kalino hasn't even been following tarper for 10 minutes and he's already "showing" signs of fatigue. The shows just a little bit and tarper thinks that he has an opportunity and swings around at him to poke him. Kalino already saw this coming and bends around faster than most expected and tarper is caught off guard and couldn't react in time.

Kalino smacks him on the head with his horn and tarper backs up disoriented, however, kalino doesn't give him any time to recuperate as he's already in front of his enemy and is repeatedly smacking him in the head. He knows that if he lets tarper get free then he will have a hard time catching him again.

Tarper get smacked over and over again with no chance of retaliating, until kalino just stops. Tarper was ready to attack again until the adult says, "Tarper is out of bounds, kalino is the winner!!". He looks down and sees that he was knocked out of the arena. He snorts then heads to his family. They console him and they take their leave.

Kalino looks at me and I give no reaction as I will show him my gratitude for his progress when we meet in the arena. He looks a little hurt inside and heads to the arena again. He is in the semi finals right now and the last pup he faces happens to be Barreus. The guy has definitely healed and has grown two small wings.

They face each other and happiness/ respect is what I can guess from their manas. They wait and the adult gives the signal. Barreus dashes towards Kalino with his wings. This catches Kalino off guard as he expected Barreus to be more tactical with his wings. Guess old habits die hard. He dives just fast enough to not get chomped by Barreus since he couldn't bring his horn up fast enough to meet the barreling pup.

Everyone was surprised by the change of events that occurred in less than a moment of the adult giving the signal. I see everything go down and I knew that they both would be interesting to fight so whoever won wasn't going to affect me much except that they both are amazing pups and I definitely would like to fight one or both of them if I could.

Barreus sees that he missed, pushes up while using his small wings the best he can, and just pulls back right before he could pass the boundary. When he turns back, Kalino is already speeding towards him with his horn ready to stab his back. Barreus utilizes his wings again and swivels downwards, barely dodging Kalino's horn. Kalino is getting more excited since no one except for me or his siblings could give him a challenge.

He starts getting serious as this battle will be his last if he doesn't get his horn on Berreus anytime soon. He thinks of an idea as instead of going to Berreus, he runs away to the opposite side of the arena. This confuses a lot of people as yes he is smart, but he's aggressively smart and doesn't relent most of the time. Berreus sees this and chases him to hopefully grab him in his "attempted escape".

What Berreus or anyone else couldn't while me and the Elder can see is while running, quite a bit of mana is being built up behind Kalino's horn. The mana is trying to push the horn out with Kalino's magic water is pushing it in. The mana builds up immensely until Berreus is right behind Kalino.

Kalino swings under him with his horn aimed right at Berreus. At that single moment an immense wave was pushed out from behind Kalino's horn, shooting it straight at Berreus. Cutting deep into and through his mouth and razing his side without any sign of slowing down. It leaves his body and pushes out above into the empty ocean. The entire Coliseum is silent at what just happened.

I was slightly less shocked after seeing the mana build up but I was still shocked at the speed it went at and the damage it did to Berreus who I presume is shocked at the sight of the horn shooting at him and the pain from it going through his mouth and cutting his skin straight through to his dorsal fin.

After a moment from the silence a single cry was heard from Berreus after the pain finally registered in his brain from what just happened. He couldn't handle the pain and ran to his parents whom were still shocked at what just happened. After he made it to them, they did their best to aid him as they went home. What people also saw was the blood that came out of Kalino's head from him literally ripping his skin out to shoot out the horn.

The wound was healed after I saw his mana converge to it. But he isn't going to grow a horn like that as it still took him a couple days to fix a horn that he still had the base to. He looked at me and my family after my father proclaimed to him and the crowd. "KALINO IS THE WINNER OF THE TOURNAMENT!!"

After this, the crowd roared at this as I can tell that Kalino worked hard for this. Even after the enemy grew a mutation to beat him, he did his best and even gained a skill in the process. Then my father boomed out to silence the crowd.

"SILENCE!!" He then looked down to Kalino, "Kalino, you have two options; Fight my son for the position of champion and the opportunity to be my heir. Or leave now and have your family be the the most respected family, second to this family" Father looked at him without any aura or any pressure as the pressure is already there for the choices presented to the pup in front of him.

The most logical answer would be to leave now and gain the benefits of being the second most respected family in the community. But what happened next shocked everyone. Kalino

Looked straight at me and said "I wish to fight the champion for his place as the heir"

I expected that answer as he isn't one to give up opportunity without trying unless he is at deaths door, this is why I respect him so much. Without my father saying or doing anything, I swam down to the arena. Kalino got to his side and eyed me down. The adult was about to call it until I said something, "Before we fight, I have to say something and ask something".

The adult paused and all eyes were on me wondering what I was going to ask and say, Kalino included. I started talking again, "Kalino, you are a very respectable being and if I hadn't of went to the risen, it would not of been a question if you being the heir, it would have been guaranteed. So I have to ask this, how would you feel if you were to meet a legend who seems to be as strong as a god?"

Kalino was confused at this question and due to me not being a joker around him, he knew this question was serious.

*During the fight between Kalino and Berreus, Mega's POV*

I guess I better show myself to them as a prophet to you Elder.

(I can tell that this is the best course of action since them two down there are both amazing candidates for the heir of the clan and as the clan leader, you can't leave without taking everyone with you so you should leave the clan leadership to the winner of this fight)

I already know that Kalino is about to win since he has more tricks up his fin then most expect. So I have a proposal, I will bring the question of you to Kalino and after he answers, I want either for you to possibly show up so I can proclaim myself as your prophet or for me to become a tiny version of you and do the same proclamation.

(The first option sounds better and it also gives me a reason to stretch as I've been cooped up for centuries with limited access to the outside world, as if I casually leave my den then my aura will scare the locals, and if I leave my den with my aura held in, then others might attempt to come and take parts of my territory)

I see well then we're killing two birds with one stone at that point.

(Ok well I'll get ready to leave, when the winner gives their answer, I'll leave and swim over the coliseum. Then you will make your proclamation and give the heir over to the winner whom your presume will be Kalino)

Looks like one of his tricks are coming to play right now, I do believe my judgement was correct.

Kalino thinks for a moment then answers, "I would just watch them probably and wonder how I came to see them"

I give a smirk that makes everyone confused and some angry thinking that I am telling him that he's in front of a legend.

After that moment, a massive figure swims over the Coliseum, taking the attention of everyone. It shocks them further when they see whom they are looking at. They were looking at the leviathan known in their religion as Noshemute, the guardian of these waters against intruders like namiens and the mosasaurians.

While Kalino was looking at it, I spoke. "I have met this legend above us and have since then become his prophet. He allowed me to have this power that I have and we agreed that I shouldn't be the heir of the clan since I will be leaving with him in the future to explore the seas and the lands"

He looked at me and said, "so that is why you asked that question".

"Yes, and that is why I will say this. Whether you win or lose this battle, you will be the heir the the clan leader"

The adult whom was the referee swam off and while we were confused, The Elder brought his head down and said in a deep voice, "I will referee this match, both of you get ready" he then said in a voice that made my fathers sound like a kitten compared to it.

"THIS WILL BE A FIGHT BETWEEN MY PROPHET AND THE FUTURE LEADER OF THE CLAN, KALINO HERE WILL BE THE NEXT HEIR OF THE CLAN WHILE JIROU WILL BE MY PROPHET AND WILL SPEAK MY WILL DURING THEIR TIME HERE"

Kalino and I both look at each other and he truly realizes the situation that's at hand. We get ready and prepare for the greatest battle we both will have so far.
