Chapter 10: worth paying with a soul

Agbaja had stabbed the monster twice on the chest and it went like a stone thrown to the sky. But he's lying almost lifeless. His eyes can only be seen  with a little opening like a child lifting a huge rock. The monster had struck him with his fingers as sharp as a razor and it tored his belly wide open. The whole hut became a stream of blood. After some minutes of vaunting. The monster step nearer to Agbaja. It's hand were like an armour of an equiped soldier. But this time ,sharper. And it's face like that of  huge gorilla. It raised it's right hand higher to  land on Agbaja's head and such can  break it into small particles. The monster stamped his feet harder and had raised Agbaja with one hand like he's only but a feather. He pummeled him and hit him harder on the ground and this time, sure he must have passed out. And maybe every other person in the hut too.

The monster had stretched it's hand and uprooted a huge wood. Maybe to pierce it on Agbaja's body to make away with him. Agbaja's teeth is fast sticken and his eyes sticked together. The monster stretched the wood and had motioned how to eat a handful of meal.

Of course a legend has it that a forest near the western detritus has a group of demonic monsters manipulating it. And that cannibalism emanated from there and from the monster. The legend had it that two men where attacked by kidnappers on their way to the seven kingdoms. They said that while they where asleep in the kidnappers den, the monsters invaded the den killing all the kidnappers and one of the victims but made away with the other maybe to keep as a reserve. Whom they took to a thick and deep part of the forest,which is like another planet filled with human bones. They prepared a meal and get some slaves from a hut-like shelter they built. And those slaves where whites. They ate human flesh and drink human blood and the slaves does the same. The man noticed it for some while until he decided to test the daily diet of his new hell.

  One morning when the slaves where served. He rushed him and snashed a meat of human hand from him and chew it hastely. One of the monster that saw the incident exclaimed bitterly. Of course they can't eat him now for they are already one. They later drugged him and since then. Human flesh became his only meat.

One faithful day. The drug faded from his eyes, after it had added years upon years. He rosed up and decided that he should leave the den either with life or without life. He sneaked and hidded at the right corner of the hut like chelter and near it's door which can only be opened from the outside. One of the monster wanted to check up on the slaves and made for the door. He opened it and huge stick landed on his head simultaneous with sliding of the door. The sound came together and the monster embraced the ground.

   The man dashed out of the hut and headed for the west side.

  They said that at a point he started seeing humans and be flicking it's tongue like that of a snake. He reached for a stream and the he had already been burning. He decided to dive into the stream and cool up. He stepped back and jumped in. After some while of silence as he dived into the water. One of the monsters jacked him from the water and held him above his head . A height of a about 3 meters. The moment he landed on the ground, he passed out and the monster approached his motionless body lying maybe lifeless or maybe,what?. The monster dipped his finger into the man's eyes and it blasted and pumped water and blood like a tap. And the monster vanished into thin air.

   The legend also had it that he was treated by some men from the seven kingdoms when they found him near the stream and had took him home. And when he recovered ,he ate all of them and except the ones that accepts to eat flesh with him. But who believed those stories back then?

Blood had flooded the whole hut and it started flowing. The monster is down on his knees with wail of tortured soul and Amelia was standing on its back with the gun blade and had stabbed it more than seven time in it's neck and the rest  decked.

Now, Agbaja seems  to have no single life in him anymore, but theirs a grace that found him. While Amelia was dragging him out of the place holding his leg, maybe to get to a safer position,A hunter met them and she narrated what happened, the hunter started plucking some herbs to render a traditional first aid. After some while that the herbs content entered Agbaja's eyes. It opened and behold,he was the one that opened it.

The hunter promised to take them out of the forest. After some hours, they started their journey. 

Reaching a bush-like forest. The hunter noticed an antelope and signaled them to keep quiet. He get to a corner and hided. Loaded his gun and it sounded on the antelopes head. He went and pick it up and the journey continue.

  Amelia's mind was running Helter skelter until she grabbed a question to ask the hunter. He turned to inquire and behold,the hunter is vomiting blood and a monster is standing on his back.
