Chapter 9: Watch the sky

It has been 2 days now that Agbaja and Amelia had been tortured. It's already dotted to them that they were lured into a kidnappers den again, though they one wasn't a trick, unlike this one. Amelia had rested his hands on his shoulder and his head also. Most of time, he helds her like a mother does to a baby. Agbaja's body had became so pale and yellow. He doesn't seem to be white anymore. His skin had been tortured to hell.Now and then,he will bend his chest and rest it on Amelia's back and will say, 'don't cry, it's going to be fine, it will surely will'. And she will nod and cry more bitterly but silently. He couldn't do anything,their both hands were tied backward.

Noises emanates from a distance,it seems like theirs an argument going on. Agbaja noticed it and paid all attention he could but gathered nothing from it for the voices were far. When Amelia noticed it, she stood up this time and held her body for once.

"what's that?"

"I don't know, maybe an argument"

She waited a bit to gather any useful information but nothing and she added,

" Or war chant, maybe "

kpaaaa!!, Kpuaaaa!!, kpuaaaa!!, Kooo!, kpa!!

sounds of rapid gunshot erupted, rapturously.

All suddenly, those noise seized for a minute and the next, it went higher and higher.

Amelia started shivering profusely and had scream at each sound of a gunshot. Agbaja had thought of what to make her feel better but the blind can't lead the blind.

A noise of a running leg were heard from a distance and it seems it's coming towards the hut.

This time, Amelia's body was ghosted but she managed to catch up her breath and knowing that Agbaja is there assured her a life in the next minute. She raised her face to he's and his eyes caught her's

"I loved you since the very first day I met you,I just want to say it,be it we don't make it out this time, just know it,that I loved you."

Agbaja was astonished by those words,it dripped his soul,went to his bones and pierced it. No girl had ever said that to him. Though they crush on him because he's handsome but the custom forbids them to say or express it.

The noise approached nearer and the foots bounced heavier and these time ,they can hear the rapid breathing of the running man. Amelia with stood up immediately, her face and eyes like that of someone that has seen a ghost.

The man dived into the hut and Amelia screamed a racous 'Jesus!!!' and the man brought out a pistol in astonishing. He's a tall black guy. He covered his face with a mask too, he worked a black jacket top, and a black baggy jeans trouser. And he wore a heavy timberland shoe on his feet. More scary than ever.

Agbaja glared at him with fool heart but uttered no word.

"Be good, and I will be nice to you,help to cover me and I will help you out of here"

Agbaja kept mute and did the whole actions with his eyeball. Amelia at the other hand managed to utter,

"why should we trust you "

"Because you have no choice pretty lady, you trust me, you live, you play shit game,I blow your head up, clear?" He added softly,with a deadly smile.

They nodded and he ran to a dark corner in the hurt and hided.

Agbaja glared at part of the wall the man broke through. There's a blade that failed from his gun. He picked it up ,he chop the rope that's his hands with tied with for several times till it broke lose.He immediately untied Amelia and they stood up immediately and had heard the man screamed loudly from his hide out. It seems like something took his life out of him all of a sudden. Agbaja reached for a stick around the corner of the room and he later found one. He reached to the wall that the man broke in through, he saw that it's not so safe their for Amelia. For him,it may not be bad. He rushed to the door and he stepped back a bit and strike it hard with the stick ,it showed no sign. He stepped back and stretched his full length to strike it again and something terrible happened.

Amelia screamed and collapsed.

The door opened gradually and a huge hen-like legged and gorilla-like faced monster appeared and roared like a lion with bloods on its hands. It's about 9 feet tall and about 200 kilo gram. Theirs puffs on its body and torsos that made it scary. The teeth were like that of a dinosaur.

Agbaja stepped back and felt a tap on his back,he turned immediately and it's another monster.
