Chapter 5 - What Happened

I was sitting down while listening to Sirzechs in front of me. I had just recently placated Irina by telling her this older brother and sister were a bit odd and liked to cosplay, so she should just take their words as them playing about.

She quickly nodded her head and started to talk to Serafall about Magical Girls. It was obvious to say that Serafall was very into the conversation with the 9-year-old.

"So, what you're telling me Sirzechs is that you...messed up with that Space Talisman and turned it into a Space and Time Talisman....how does that even happen?" my temple was throbbing as I looked at the nervous adult in front of me.

This is apparently what happened to me. Apparently, according to an embarrassed Sirzechs, the concepts and laws between Space and Time weren't too different and in his young age and subtle arrogance he messed up a line of the Space Talisman. The result was sending me way into the future which I was both glad about and slightly annoyed about. I wasn't annoyed because I wanted to live through the Faction War between the Satan Faction and Anti-Satan Faction, but because I could've been sent waaaaay into the future or waaaay back into the past. Luckily, I seemed to have some protagonist aura and was sent to fill in for Issei.

'I bet The Morrighan had something to do with it...' I shook my head with a wry smile, hearing faint laughter in my head from Kiriha who could read my thoughts and what I annoyed about.

[You're just annoyed you nearly lost your chance to be with the Beautiful Girls and Women you're been dreaming about! Hahahaha~!] my expression went a bit stiff at that because she was...completely right.

'Whatever...let's just see why Sirzechs is here...' my defeated tone caused more laughter from the Sacred Gear but I ignored it and looked up at Sirzechs, "....It doesn't matter how it happened - you're an idiot, I understand - so, what do I owe the pleasure of your visit Sirzechs?"

He seemed like he wanted to refute what I said but seeing my deadpan expression, he sighed before looking down at me, "I simply came here to see if you were alright and also to ask...can you please tell me what are you? It's really bugging me!" Sirzechs tilted his head at me, "You give off an aura that's definitely not human but it's not Supernatural either? Maybe a Science experiment the Humans have been working on...?" he rested his hand on his chin as he curiously looked at me.

I let out a sigh, " As I said, I'm a modified Human but not through Experimentation...it's complicated to explain. All I'll say is that I'm barely Human while everything else is something both familiar and unfamiliar to this world~" I smirked at the troubled expression on Sirzechs troubled face, "Well, just watch me, you'll probably find out what I am when I hit puberty. Anyway, I've got a 'date' so I'll have to leave now...Irina! Come on, we've still gotta go to the park!" I walked over to Irina before pulling her away from the Maou she was arguing with.

Sirzechs seemed like he wanted to stop me but he just stood there with a half-smile on his face. He could only shake his head at the mysterious kid in front of him before imitating Takuya and pulling Serafall away from the 9-year-old she was arguing with.

Meanwhile, Irina and I were walking hand-in-hand toward the park that wasn't too far away.

"Hmm...who were those people then, Takuya?" Irina had a cute interrogation face on as she scrutinized my face for answers. She squeezed my hand, trying to seem threatening but it only made me laugh and her pout.

"Just some people I know, okay, Irina? Trust me, one day you'll know who they are~" my teasing tone seemed to confuse her but nonetheless, she picked up on the fact she was being teased and started to pinch my side.

"Owowow, Irina, stop it!" of course I didn't feel any physical pain, but the emotional pain was massive. When a cute girl's mad at you, it's like an atomic bomb going off in your heart - chaotic and an unwanted circumstance. So I had to placate her quickly.

"Irina, I'll owe you a massive favor if you stop pinching me, so please stop!" I put on a pained expression which instantly made Irina pale from fear at actually hurting me. She didn't the same anything and instead just went back to holding my hand tightly. She nodded at what I said, unknown to me that she held that promise deep inside her heart.

Shortly after this emotional pain, we arrived at the park. It was a Saturday so there were a lot of people in the park but my enhanced eyes picked up 3 figures that made my temples pound with annoyance.

'I guess because Sirzechs was here, I shouldn't be surprised...but still...!' I thought this as I steered Irina away from the three people I didn't really want to meet yet. Irina didn't mind and let me guide her over near a tree that had plenty of shade underneath it to protect us from the scolding hot rays of the sun.

Before I could sit down, Irina kept me standing up before opening the basket and bringing out a picnic blanket. She laid it down on the ground and flattened it out before putting the basket on it and sitting on it herself. She looked up at me with cheerful eyes full of happiness, before she hurriedly motioned for me to sit down, "Takuya, hurry up and sit down so we can eat!" I smiled and told her to calm down as I plopped myself down on the blanket.

Irina hurried grabbed a paper plate and put a sandwich on it for me. She thrust the plate at my face, nearly throwing the sandwich all over me, "Umm...I made these with Aunt Ayako's help...I hope you enjoy them..." her voice was as quiet as a whisper by the end and I chuckled before taking the plate from her.

I looked at the messily cut bread, the overflow that signaled there was too much sauce and butter and the fact that the meat in between the bread looked like it had been chewed prior to being put on the sandwich. All of which would usually make me not want to eat such an imperfect sandwich, yet....when I looked at the sandwich I felt a burst of warmth in my heart before looking over at the blushing and nervous Irina.

I inwardly chuckled before devouring the sandwich at an inhuman rate.

It definitely wasn't the best sandwich I'd ever eaten but it was definitely the most satisfying, "Mmm~ This is great, Irina...can I have another one?" I 'pleaded' to her which caused her to blush for some reason, but nonetheless, she still gave me another sandwich just as messy as the first.

But just as satisfying as well.

After seeing me enjoy her food, Irina felt like her heart was pumped full of happiness and she started to eat her own share of sandwiches with just as much gusto as me.

But not long after, I sensed that 2 people were walking over to us. I closed my eyes and wished it wasn't who I thought it was. Irina looked at me weirdly, wondering if I closed my eyes because I suddenly hated her cooking which caused terror to fill her system.

Soon after that feeling, however, a weird feeling of being threatened appeared in her chest and she looked behind me to see two girls walking over to us with curious expressions on their little faces.

Irina instantly felt danger when she saw the cuteness of both the girls and she instantly shuffled closer to Takuya.

I, on the other hand, was preparing myself for the 2-girl tornado that was about to hit.

"Hello, my name's Rias Gremory and this is my friend, Akeno Himejima, can we play with you?" a melodic voice spoke out behind me but to me, it sounded like the voice of impending doom and countless troubles...
