Living his ordinary life as a gamer, Wade decides to get some fresh air one night. He wanders into the woods and gets bitten by a creature. He and his friends face challenges with other supernatural beings while they are still trying to figure out the supernatural world for themselves. (Decided to remake this because people were saying my other book was too similar to another already made. So, I didn't want to be taken as a plagiarizer so enjoy)

The Date

Wade went to go open the door and when he did, Liv was standing there. She had on black ripped jeans and a black top with a jacket over it, and red shoes.

Even if Wade denied it, she did look good, but he wasn't going to let that distract him. He let her enter as he walked her upstairs.

"Hey, can I use your bathroom?" She asked as she turned a little bit like she had to pee.

"Yeah, it's right there on your left," Wade said as he waited downstairs because he knew that she would go into his room.

As she was walking down, she looked to her left to see the room that leads to the bathroom. She looked at the closed door across from it and concluded that it was Wades since it had stickers on it.

As pulled out a device that looked like a charger box, when she walked in, she was greeted by Max who knew she along with Wade that she was trying to wire his room.

"What are you doing? I'm pretty sure he said on left. Oh, and what were you playing to do with that microphone?" Max said as he pointed to the box in her hand.

"Oh, I got it mixed up and this, this isn't a microphone it's a charger box," She said with a smile and an awkward laugh because she knew she was caught.

"I thought I said to the left, how did you end up here?" Wade said from behind Liv which kind of scared her because she wasn't able to hear his footsteps.

"I just got confused that's all," Liv said as she walked out of the room and into the bathroom.

'I didn't know somebody else would be here, did he already figure me out?' Liv thought as she faked using the bathroom to set up cameras.

"She doesn't know that you use the bathroom in here, does she?" Max said to Wade in a joking manner.

Wade only looked at Max and they started laughing, greatly confusing Liv. After Liv was finished, She sat down on Wades' bed. She then realized that she hadn't said where she wanted to go for their date.

"I'm such an idiot, I didn't say where we wanted to do go for our date. I guess we'll have to stay he-" Liv said before get tong cut off.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I already got it sorted out," Wade said with a smile that irritated Liv.

"Oh? So why are we still here? Shouldn't we be on our date?" Liv asked.

"We're just waiting for our friend. Once she gets here, then we can go," Wade said as he pulled out his phone and played a game to pass the time.

"Oh, it's a girl that's coming," Liv said with a hint of jealousy. Max and Wade acted as they didn't hear anything and carried on.

After no later than fifteen minutes, the doorbell rang. At the door, Lydia stood with light makeup on, a gray shirt with an open jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.

He wanted to say she looked beautiful, but that wasn't his place to say. He stepped aside to let her in and pulled out his phone to call someone.

"Where is Max? And, why do you look and smell good? Do you have a date as well?" Lydia said jokingly.

"Unfortunately, yes I do," Wade said sighing as the person on the phone finally picked up.

"Hello?" A woman voice on the side said which caught Lydia's attention.

"Mom, I'm taking the other car out. I have a date tonight," Wade said which made Lydia sigh in relief.

"A DATE?! SINCE WHEN?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DATING THAT LYDIA GIRL!" Alice said so loud that Wade had to move the phone from his eye. When Lydia heard Alice she blushed but turned around so Wade couldn't see.

"Mom, let's talk later, ok?" Wade said a little irritated because now his ears were ringing.

"Yeah, yeah, have fun. When you come back or when we're back, I want all the deats," Alice said excitedly.

"Mom, what are we, highschool girls?" Wade said chuckling to himself.

"Well, I want you to tell me everything, ok?" Alice said.

"Yeah, I'll tell you," Wade said as he hung up.

-------

"So where is Max?" Lydia said hiding her blush.

"He's upstairs in my room," Wade said as he went over to a cabinet and grabbed keys.

As Lydia was walking upstairs, she heard Max's and a girl's voice talking. When she walked in, she glared at the girl who only glared back.

To break the tension, Max spoke up;

"Lydia, you look beautiful," Max said as he analyzed everything about Lydia.

"Thanks!" Lydia said aggressively not breaking eye contact with Liv.

"Your name is Lydia? I'm Liv, it's very nice to meet you," Liv said sarcastically.

"Seem like you two met, now, let's go," Wade said from behind Lydia which kind of scars both Lydia and Liv because they couldn't hear his footsteps.

Lydia and Liv went first as Max and Wade stayed behind. As they watched them walk in front of them, they couldn't help but admire the view.

"They're getting along nicely, don't you think?" Max said as he watched Lydia nudge Liv with her elbow.

"Yes, they are," Wade said as he watched Liv put her foot in front of Lydia's as she almost fell down the stairs.

------

In the car, Wade was driving and Liv was sitting in the passenger seat, while Max and Lydia sat in the back. After twenty minutes of driving, Wade pulled into a fair that was going on.

Wade paid the man at the booth for all three of them, including himself. When they got into the fair, instead of splitting up, they stayed together.

What Lydia and Liv thought was that they were competing for them, but Max and Wade we're competing against each other.

Of course, Wade won all strength games and even the shooting games which surprised Max. But Max best Wade in some games because Wade didn't want it to seem too unfair.

Wade won Liv a teddy bear and some other things that she didn't seem to care about. Max won Lydia a stuffed hamster and she almost cried.

As they took a little break, they got food and sat at a table.

"I have to go to the bathroom," Wade said as he signaled for Max to come with him.

"Yeah, I have to go too," Max said as he followed behind Wade.

"What do you plan to do to me once we get in there?" Max said whispering to Max while smiling. Wade only laughed as he lightly pushed Max as they shared a laugh.

"Seems like they have been friends for a while," Liv said forgetting what happened earlier.

"Yeah, they seem close," Lydia said as she looked at Wades' drink.

"Yeah, they do. Now that I think about it, I have to use the bathroom too," Liv said as she smiled at Lydia and left.

When she was out of sight, Lydia opened Wades' drink and poured the truth potions in it. As she finished she went back to her seat, she was getting anxious and nervous because of what she just did.

After five minutes, Wade and Max came back laughing. When they walked up to the table, only Lydia was there.

"Did Liv bail?" Wade asked as he sat down. And, the amount of anxiety coming from Lydia concerned Wade.

"No, she just went to the bathroom," Lydia said looking down because she couldn't look Wade in the eye.

'Why is she acting so weird? Did somebody do something to her? Or did she do something?' Wade thought to himself as he looked at his drink and it wasn't in the place where he left it.

'If someone tried to spike my drink, nothing would happen because I'm immune. But it would hurt knowing what it is," Wade said as he picked up his drink and drunk almost half.

Lydia's eyes went wide seeing him drink it. She felt guilty, but now she would know the truth so that eased her guilt a bit.

[Dispelled]

'She had a truth potion and didn't tell me and instead of using it on the girl she uses it on me,' Wade thought as he glared at Lydia.

"So Wade, what's your relationship with Liv?" Lydia asked trying to ease her way into the questions so she wouldn't seem suspicious.

"Hmm, I wouldn't call it a 'relationship' more like we just met," Wade said hiding his anger and trying to sound as calm as possible.

"So you don't like her? Who do you like then?" Lydia said getting anxious for his answer?

"Not someone who would use a truth potion on their friend. I mean would you be interested in someone who did that to you?" Wade said calmly taking another sip of his drink looking into Lydia's soul.

Lydia's face went pale as she looked down with regret. Max looked confused, but Lydia's face said it all.

"Wait, you gave him a truth potion and asked him who he likes, hoping that he would say you? Did you only say yes because you knew Wade was going to be here?" Max said as he looked at Lydia who wouldn't even lift her head.

"You know, that truth potion could have been useful. Instead of using it on me, you could have used it on the suspicious girl that came out of nowhere and asked her questions," Wade said as Liv came back.

"Hey, what's going on?" Liv asked as she felt the tension around them was tight.

"It's nothing, we're leaving," Wade as he and Max went back to the parking lot.

She took one glance at Lydia and could tell she was the cause and only followed them. Not long after, she walked back as well.

The car ride was quiet, Liv tried to talk, but Wade turned on the radio because he didn't want to hear anything.

Wade dropped Lydia off at her house first. She looked at Max who wouldn't even acknowledge her existence. She looked to Wade who was looking forward and listening to the radio.

"Look Wade, I'm sorry," Lydia said with tears streaming down her face.

"I bet, and you trying to make me feel bad by crying won't get you anywhere," Wade said as he sped off and didn't look back.

Lydia was left in front of her house crying and feeling like she lost the one person who was like her.

-------

"Where do you live?" Wade asked not taking his eyes off the road.

"What, do you want to kiss me on my doorstep and ask for a second date?" Liv asked blushing.

"You know, I'll just drop you off here," Wade said as he slowed the car down.

"You know, this is perfect," Liv said as she got out and seemed to disappear into the darkness.
