Princess and the Bracelet wisp

Princess Yelena is about to celebrate her 6th birthday though not alone, it's a happy occasion because it would be filled with cakes and people one could call friends. 

But Yelena is different, she was born with a curse. One that would make everyone jealous, her curse was her knowledge. 

She knows everything that's in the past and the present, and as she grows, she's starting to see the future. 

Although her foresight could only be used up for seconds, there is no doubt she would see more in the future as she grows. 

And because of that, her sight of the present is gradually getting dimmer. It was getting bad in fact that she was forgetting who's who of the traitors in the Emperor's ranks. 

So if one truly wanted her dead, she could not stop it. And the "present'' is up to three days, from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. That's the set of her sight in the "present". 

Although Princess Yelena is born with a curse, she didn't bother to try and explain it to anyone, she has already seen the future in which she told someone. 

And it didn't end well for her at all. No, she saw scholars and magic researchers lock her up, treating her like a thing.

Even though her future sight could only give her seconds in the future, when it comes to her well-being, it gives her a glimpse of what happens in the far future without an exact date. 

"Mu… "

Yelena however, with all this knowledge still cannot change the fact that she's a child. 

"When will you arrive… "

And the fact that she knows when her life would end, that she couldn't do anything. 

"My knight in shining armour… "

Yelena muttered as she held a book detailing a knight saving a princess in a tower. A damsel in distress.

She fell asleep as she held the book close to her arms, she knew what would happen but was powerless to do anything. 

Her platinum blonde hair that goes down to her waist scatters along the bed, she closes her eyelids that contain diamond-like eyes that shine like pearls. 

It was only until tomorrow till her birthday started. Her good sleep would only last today.

After comforting Ophelia I went ahead and looked for a space within the mansion, I went to a place less conspicuous so that even if I got caught I at least would have an excuse. 

I started walking, yeah in the middle of the night, I have no problems as I'm good at sneaking around. 

I went to the place I frequent the most, the training grounds. I placed down the magic stone I bought from the shady trader. 

"So… uh Luna, help me with the summoning"

{aye}

Luna started guiding me, she told me to hold my hand out and start chanting the following words. 

{Oh' light spirit, grant me this wish and appear before me.}

A spark of light suddenly appeared in front of the magic stone. 

{Ah, looks like… uh oh}

The spark of light that was once the size of a wisp gradually got bigger till it was as bright as the sun, blinding light embraced the whole of the training grounds. 

{I'm done here! Sammy!}

I couldn't help but feel cold sweat gathering on my back, this will surely raise a commotion. 

After a few seconds, the light subsided at a rapid rate, leaving behind a wisp with a golden hue. 

〔Who dares summon me, the Wisp of light?〕

"Phew… can we talk later? I was quite tired… "

〔Hmph! Fine, but you have to explain later, do you understand?〕

"Yes, yes"

I answered politely so as not to anger it, we were not on a pact so this spirit could hurt me. 

"Please reside to this stone I prepared"

〔Hm? Oh~ at least you're thoughtful~〕

It seemed to like the magic stone even though it's tiny, which makes it perfect. The spirit resided inside the magic stone, which I took and pocketed. 

Now comes real trouble. I grabbed a sword that was resting beside me. And I hit the nearby dummy I placed on standby. 

I hit so fast that it started sparking, it takes a lot of my stamina to do this. And why am I doing this?

"Samuel!"

The one I expected to come was a Knight, but I didn't expect the Marquis himself to come here. 

"M-marquis!?"

I'm slightly bewildered at this development but my face didn't show it. Well, not that I don't want to, nor that I couldn't, it's just a habit at this point, an instinctive habit. 

"Oh, child you… "

He sighed, he looked at me with an unknown expression, he seemed eager to come here and teach me myself. 

"Samuel, do you want to get stronger?"

"Yes…?"

"Is it because of what happened today?"

"..."

I can't tell him that I summoned a spirit, so I just shut my mouth, but the Marquis seemed to have a different idea. 

"Then, child, be my disciple."

"...!!"

My eyes widened, I panicked for a bit, and even Luna was bewildered. Since the Marquis lost himself in the game out of rage he didn't take anyone as a disciple. 

When I became the Marquis's disciple then wouldn't I learn everything the Marquis's sword techniques. 

"But Marquis, I already became Sir Dell's disciple…"

"...but still would you like to go under my wing?"

I clenched my fists, what would I tell Mr. Dell? I don't know how complicated the master-disciple relationship is at first but I was taught various things by Mr. Dell. So I know damn well I have to act like that with the Marquis, especially when he is busy. 

But the Marquis seemed to misunderstand this as a sign of weakness and kneeled before me, held out my hand, and looked at me with a smile. 

"You don't have to worry, child. I'll make sure that I talk to Dell about this, I'm doing this out of my selfishness."

[Samuel, what are you gonna do now?]

I signed and shook my head, I then looked at the Marquis's soft eyes firmly and spoke. 

"I would like to learn from you."

Might as well learn from a 2nd class swordsman if I'm going to be one right? And I'm indeed weak at the moment, I only survived this far because I always used cheap shots. 

That's with humans by the way. 

"That's good to hear, rest for today. We have something to do by tomorrow."

"The birthday?"

"Yes, the birthday."

I plan to give the necklace along with the Marquis's gifts but I think I should give it personally to the princess overall. 

Since I don't know when she'll open the gift. 

"Anyways, Samuel, go and rest, you have to attend to my daughter don't you?"

I nodded and started fixing up my mess, at least I'm done with my objective for today.
