Chapter 1: The Beginning

PART 1 (The Beginning: The birth)

A world full of magic users, many have been going on adventures in this world full of disasters, and only a few have been seen and announced as heroes of this world by their god, a god that rules all among all. My parents, Zeni Kashime and Kana Kashime were celestial knights, and they had a child, me. After having me, they settled to live a normal life in the farmlands as normal farmers. Months later, I was born, a beautiful baby boy, with silky brown hair and beautiful blue eyes.

I was famous in the neighboring farmlands. Growing up, I was spoiled with magic that I can help every single one of our neighbors, with my parents seeing how much I can produce such magic at such a young age, my parents asked Kenji, the right hand of our celestial god, to look into my magic capacity/capabilities.

"Mom, dad… Am I sick..?" I asked them.

"Sweetie no, you are not, what makes you say that?" they replied.

"Then why did you ask Mr. grumpy man to have a look at me?" I responded.

"We just need to look at your magic, son, we all go through it once, don't be scared, okay?"

The day came when Kenji came to the house and checked my magic, all of the people were expecting my magic to be similar to my parents' because I am the son of the two celestial knights after all. Kenji was done inspecting, and after seeing the results, he did another test to make sure, and another one.

"What's the matter Kenji? Is something wrong with my child?" Zeni worriedly asked Kenji.

"May I speak with you two alone?" Kenji asked both of my parents in a concerned voice.

"Sure, let's talk in the kitchen" Kana replied.

"I don't know how to say this, but it seems that your son has a lot of potential in his hands" he said.

"What do you mean by that..?" Zeni asked.

"Well, for starters, you Rin's magic is not in the normal chart of where most kids should be-" my parents started laughing cutting off the Kenji.

"Then he does have a lot of magic like us, that's so great to hear!"

"Well about that, your son has a lot more magic than you guys, a lot more than anyone of us could have, except for… our celestial god…" Kenji said.

"Kenji, this is a joke right..? There's no way my son has that kind of magic" Zeni questioned with hesitation.

"I have lived my life beside our celestial god for centuries knight, this is not something for me to be joking around" Kenji replied.

"Just don't let Rin get out of your sight at all times, got it?" my parents agreed, and greeted Kenji on the way out.

After the conversation that Kenji and my parents had, my parents started acting weird by the day. My parents won't let me out of the house, they'd only allow me to help the village when it is needed and they have to be beside me when I do. This went on for years, until my 5th birthday, it was an eventful day, everyone was gathered around in one place, and celebrating my day of birth, what they didn't know though, was that all this joyful atmosphere will come to an end later on…

PART 2 (The Beginning: The cruel one)

March 30th XXXX, it is the day of my birth, I expected it would be another normal day with me and my parents being weird, but instead, I woke up with my parents presenting me with a cake up to my face with an excited look on their faces.

"Happy birthday Rin! Wake up, today is your day" my parents excitedly said "Get up, all of our neighbors had prepared us some feast outside!"

With a surprised look on my face, I hurriedly ran outside, upon there, I see all of my neighbors preparing a feast for my birthday.

"What is all this?" I asked confusedly.

"What do you mean? It's your birthday, we celebrate our birthdays every 5 years" they answered happily "Oh, by the way, son, starting tonight, Kenji will come and get you to drop you off at your school"

"School? Why do I need to go there, I'm already happy here" I asked.

"Did you not tell Rin about what he needs to do after his birthday?" Kana asked Zeni angrily.

"I must've forgotten to tell him at some point…" Zeni answered laughingly.

"Anyways, Rin, just remember, no matter where you are, we'll always love you no matter what" Kana reassured me.

"Here, take this, this is a transmitter that can only be used by us, no one else, just press this whenever you need help, or having troubles, me and your Kana will be there for you anytime" Zeni gave me our family's traditional bracelet that is only known for our family.

"Okay, time is wasting, we shall now celebrate our son's birthday. GATHER UP, EVERYONE!"

With this whole joyous atmosphere, everyone got drunk without noticing the time, it was midnight, and the starry sky was so beautiful that I found myself sleeping on the roof. While I was asleep and Zeni drinking, Kana noticed something wrong outside and warned Zeni, thankfully Zeni wasn't that drunk and he got back up on his feet.

"Everyone get back inside and no one shall get out, this will turn into a battlefield" Zeni warns everyone.

Every single of them hurried back to their homes and let the heroes handle the situation, my parents.

"Honey, go find our son, he might not be with our neighbors" Zeni asked Kana.

"Okay, be careful"

*laughs*"you know me"

Back in the day, Kana and Zeni were the best pair the world could have, even our celestial god had foreseen their abilities and had given them the title of celestial knight. As this world perceives, he also has subordinates, such as the right hand, Kenji, The left hand, Akari, and two celestial knights, my dad, Zeni, and my mom, Kana.

All these four are all picked by him 500 years ago. Kenji as the right hand, his abilities are known for his shockwaves magic, and as it grew stronger, he was able to identify every single one's capabilities, as for Akari, she was known for her intelligence in both magic, and combat strategies, she was also known as the light of the world, for she is the complete opposite of her twin. As for my parents, Zeni was known for his flight magic, and amazing close combat skills, which is, he is also known as the reckless celestial knight, and that's where my mom comes in, Kana is known for being the best support for Zeni, Kana has the abilities of sensory and support magic, she can track everyone with her sensory from the vast amount of area within her.

As Kana tries to find me, she was worried about Zeni, because she has never felt this kind of aura before in their previous battles. Since Kana already knows how vast my magic is, she was able to find me and tried to hide me from the enemy, with it, Zeni came crashing into one of the houses as he fights the enemy.

"I expected more from you celestial knights, pathetic" the enemy said.

"Zeni… her magic, it feels so familiar yet disgusting" Kana uttered in fear.

"So, you noticed it too, it is definitely her" Zeni replied.

"Oh? So, you already know who I am? The more reason why I should kill you like how I killed her" the enemy said as they overheard my parents.

"What's your goal? What do you want from us that you are so eager to kill us" Zeni shouted.

"I thought, you already know the answer to that question? How pitiful, he brainwashed all of you" the enemy replied.

Kana enhanced, and supported Zeni from the back as Zeni charged forward toward the enemy. The enemy then stops Zeni's attacks easily.

"This is not a place for the cruel one to be, get out!" Zeni shouted.

"The cruel one? Oh, so that's my title as an individual, who gave me that name? Let me guess your so-called celestial god? Or her?" the cruel one said.

With all the shouting and fighting happening outside, Rin came out of his hiding spot where Kana hid him, as he gets out, he saw his parents' last moments…

"Son, get back inside!!" Kana shouted at Rin

Zeni rushed towards Kana and Rin trying to protect both of them

"Say hi to her for me will you?" the cruel one whispered to herself.

The cruel one blasts a dark aura beam towards us, but Kana had created a shield behind Zeni as they both tried to protect me, Kana and Zeni both knows that the shield won't last long. So, they both said their final wishes to Rin.

"Rin, remember what I said, okay? We'll love you no matter what happens to you or the both of us" Kana said tearfully.

"I love you, son, and I'll always will, be strong and independent, okay?" Zeni said tearfully.

Before Rin could speak, the shield breaks, and getting my parents killed. The whole village is destroyed, black flames everywhere, and no individual is alive, except for Rin, as the cruel one senses Rin, and she then walks toward Rin getting ready to kill him.

"It seems that I missed a spot-" the cruel one said

As she stopped what she is saying, she sensed a vast amount of magic in Rin that made her tremble in fear, and she knows it will be the end of her, with it, she flees from the scene.

Kenji came to the location of the fight that he sensed, but he was too late and saw everyone dead, and he then saw us laying down, he'd hoped that I'd still be alive, but due to the shock wave of the beam that the cruel once blasted towards us I was announced dead, but Kenji didn't know I was still alive…
