Chapter ll: The introduction

As she tries to forget all about what happened the other day, she always ends up in her bed, crawled up and reminiscing about what she could've said to make her more likeable in front of the gentleman. Little did she know, that even with her strong gaze and quiet facade, only a boy could break through and read her like a book.

"Ugh... I shouldn't have said that, instead i shouldn't have went there in the first place. Because of my eagerness to turn my life around, i end up bothering someone living his and probably embarrassed myself so much." The young lady sighed as she walks up the stairs that leads to her classroom.

And what she least expected happened, there he was, the charming gentleman that made her so flabbergasted, she couldn't help but stare.

"This is a joke right? no this is a nightmare. Just be cool, calm, and collected." She quietly thought to herself.

Then, a familiar boy approaches, one of her friends. "Oh by the way, I'm going to introduce you to someone from the other section, he's really chill, i promise." And her worst nightmare slowly came through, to be introduced to someone she was just staring at.

"Hey! i think we have met before, or should i say earlier. My name's Blake!" The gentleman initiated the first move—not to scare the young lady away, but instead to try and charm her.

"That caught me off guard" She mumbled under her breath.

"Hmm. What was that?" The gentleman asked in confusion, as a form of facade to what he just heard.

"Oh nothing, sorry. My name is April. Nice to meet you." She tries to hide her flustered face with a fast introduction, making it seem like she didn't have any interest whatsoever in knowing the gentleman.

"Oh, i thought she'd be more eager to learn from me. I guess I didn't capture her gaze as much as she captured my attention." The poor gentleman thought, and ended the introduction with a sigh and a goodbye.

"Thank you for telling me your name and giving up your free time to talk to me even just for a little while, i really appreciate it, and i hope we can be friends one day." The gentleman expressed with respect.

"It was no problem, thank you also for wanting me to be your friend. I also hope we'll get there somewhere."

The young lady kept her cold etiquette, forming a wall to hide how she truly felt after they held and shook hands. With their final eye contacts, April chose to leave first, as a form of respect to the person who has waited for her, Blake.

"Was I so cold? oh i hope i wasn't. I didn't want to reveal my cards but, i think i did too much. I sure wish he hadn't lost interest in me, because i know I wasn't the only who felt sparks after our hands collided." She thought to herself, wishing she could've done or said something that wouldn't upset the gentleman.

"Why was she so cold? was I too much? did i do or say something bad? because it seems to me that she has no interest in knowing me. Not even enough care to look at my eyes once, even though i stared at hers in secret." The puzzled boy thought to himself, feeling hollow after what just happened.
