School was over and Hajime was in his room doing homework.

'Let's get this done, I need to finish this quickly.'

Hajime was working on the homework given by Miss Suzuki. It was chemistry homework about formulas relating to the atomic structure.

'I already finished 4 of them and only 2 left.'

Hajime was surprisingly fast at doing his homework, it was thanks to the photographic memory, and the ability to memorise any book.

With his new ability, he could easily do the homework without looking at the books or textbooks. He only has to look at the page, and then write down the answer.

'I'm nearly there.'

Hajime was doing the homework like a machine. Thanks to the system he managed to breeze through the pages like a printer.

'If only I had these abilities, back then I would have been the top student in the class.'

It was true, that Hajime had always wanted to be a good student. But he was never the smart type, so he studied hard and became an average student.

'But, now I'm better. These abilities will help me improve.'

After finishing the last question, Hajime submitted the homework and went back to the system.

'So, what should I do next?'

Hajime had just finished his homework, and he was ready to go on to the next thing.

'I need more stats and skills. And I can upgrade the abilities that I have. The question is, where do I start?'

There were so many things to do, and Hajime didn't know what to do.

Hajime was amazed at the variety of items and the prices, the cheapest item was a cup of water and the most expensive was a luxury villa.

'I should be careful, spending a large amount of money will cause trouble.'

The system was like a game, and the prices were very realistic.

Hajime had a lot of questions, but the answers were not coming to him.

After that, Hajime went back to the system.

He looked at the abilities and skills and saw a few that were interesting.

'These are all cool, I wish I could get them.'

Hajime was interested in the skills, and abilities. There were so many to choose from, and they were all unique.

Some of the abilities cost more than 100,000 yen.

The tech tree was separated into three sections. SOUL, BODY, and TECH.

'Soul is related to the soul and its power, the body is about the strength and the skills of the body, and the tech is for the technique which allows me to learn new moves.'

There are a lot of skills that Hajime is interested in, but he is low on points.

'What should I do, should I upgrade my current abilities?'

The system allows Hajime to upgrade his current abilities and skills.

'Let's take a look.'

As he scrolled down, Hajine found the upgrades and the skills that he had.

'New skill? The system can give me a new ability?'

Hajime was surprised to see a new skill, the system could create new skills.

'This is interesting, How can I create a new skill?'

As Hajime scrolled down the new skill, the details were shown.

'A new ability called Essence of detection, this is interesting. It is a passive ability that allows me to sense danger and the essence of people.

'It will allow me to sense the presence of other people, and the essence or the aura of the people. I'll buy this ability.'

The price of the new ability was 5,000 yen, so Hajime clicked the button and bought the ability.

Suddenly, he felt his senses growing stronger and the environment becoming clearer.

'Wow, the world seems brighter. The ability was activated and I could sense the aura of the people outside and the presence of the birds flying by. This is amazing.'

Hajime had the senses of sight, smell, hearing, and touch. He can feel the environment around him.

'I feel so much better, it is like I was blind before. And now, I can see the world in its true colour.'

A notification sound appeared, and Hajime was confused.

'Why did the sound appear?'

He looked at the screen and saw the change.

'What is this? A new mission?'

Hajime saw the notification and clicked on the icon.

'A new mission appeared?'

[A mission has been added.]

'Answer the door?'

The doorbell rang, and Hajime was shocked.

'Who is it? And why does the system have a mission about answering the door?

The doorbell continued to ring, and Hajime didn't know what to do.

'Who is this person?'

As he was pondering, the doorbell rang once again.

'Fine, I'll open the door.'

Hajime was confused and wondered why the system had a mission.

'Is this related to the essence of detection?'

As he went down the stairs, the doorbell continued to ring.

'Hold on, I'm coming!'

Hajime opened the door, and he saw the person at the door.

"Yo, Hajime!"

'It's Ejiro?!'

The person at the door was Hajime's best friend, Ejiro.

"Ejiro?! What are you doing here?"

"Can't a friend come visit? By the way, can I come inside? I'm a little bit cold."

"Sure, come in."

Hajime invited Ejiro inside and closed the door behind him.

"I didn't know you came here, did you send me a message or a letter?"

"No, I wanted to surprise you."

"You did, but what are you doing here?"

"Just wanted to hang out with my best bud, you know. And we haven't seen each other for a while, so I decided to come over."

"Oh, thanks."

Hajime was relieved that it was his best friend. But he was still a bit worried.

'Why did the system have a mission for me?' Hajime thought as he looked at the system.

He opened the system and saw the mission.

'Answer the door, this is strange. Was the mission created by the system, or is it something else?'

Hajime was a bit worried, but he was happy that his friend came over.

"So, what are we doing today?" Ejiro asked

"Oh, nothing much. I'm just studying, and I have some homework to do." Hajime replied,

"Homework? Miss Suzuki is giving you homework already?" Ejiro asked, shocked.

"Yeah, she wants us to report for the lesson," Hajime replied.

"You are so lucky, man. To get homework from a beautiful teacher. If only I could have such a cute teacher."

"Don't complain, She is strict and she won't forgive you if you slack off," Hajime remarks, remembering the punishment from earlier.

"Yeah don't have to remind me… She is scary, and she is so strong. I never knew a woman could have so much strength. She is defiantly a MILF of the year. Oh yeah, speaking of MILF. Can you help me with my math homework, please? Pretty please? You're good at math, right? Can you please help me? My parents will kill me if I don't pass." Ejiro pleads, hoping that his friend will help him.

Hajime looks at his friend, who is begging him to help. He is torn between helping his friend and focusing on the system.

'Should I help him? I mean, I could finish the homework faster with my ability, but will it be a problem for me? It is just one homework, and I can finish it fast. The rewards are great, and I'll get 10 stat points.'

After thinking for a moment, Hajime decides to help his friend.

"Sure, I'll help you. But you have to pay me, and don't forget to ask the teacher for help."

"Oh thank you! You're a lifesaver, Hajime!"

Ejiro is delighted and hugs his friend. Hajime is surprised by the sudden hug, but smiles and returns the hug.

Suddenly a meter bar started to rise on Hajime's screen, and it was going up very quickly.

'What is happening?' Hajime thought as the meter continued to rise.

'Friendship meter? What is this?'

Hajime looks at his screen and sees a new meter being filled. It was a friendship meter, and it was going up fast.

'This is interesting, I didn't know the system has a friendship meter.'

Hajime was intrigued, and he looked at his screen. He was curious about the friendship meter, and its purpose.

'The friendship meter is an interesting concept. It measures the bond between two people, and how close they are. It can be used to form relationships, and to increase trust between people.'

Hajime was fascinated, and he was interested in the friendship meter.

'It is useful, and it can help me make friends and strengthen my bonds with people.'

After looking at the meter, Hajime noticed that it was almost full.

'I need a few more points, and it will be full.'

The friendship meter filled up quickly, and Hajime was happy.

Hajime then let go of Ejiro and grabbed the math book.

"Let's start working on your homework, and don't worry. I'll help you."

"Thank you, Hajime."

Hajime and Ejiro sit down at the table and begin working on the math homework.
