Same, Same but different

As Hajime walked down the street, he looked at the houses and buildings. He has walked this route a lot of times, Oddly, he'd never truly taken in the environment.

Hajime hoped for the best and will pray for the family. He then stopped walking and checked the time.

'8:30 a.m.'

Hajime was late, and the school was only a few blocks away.

Hajime started to run as fast as he could, he couldn't be late for the entrance ceremony.

A few moments later, he arrived at the school gate. He quickly ran past the security and towards the auditorium.

"Hey, you are late!" A teacher yelled at him.

"Sorry sir!" Hajime bowed in apology.

"Just take a seat and shut up!"

"Yes sir!"

Hajime quietly slipped into the auditorium and sat in the corner.

'Phew, that was close.'

Hajime was nervous for a moment but was relieved that he made it.

The principal began his speech and it was boring, he droned on and on about the rules and regulations. After that, the new year's student council president gave a speech and introduced the new students.

"Hello everyone, I'm Makato Yuki. And I'm the new year's student council president. We are here to welcome our new students, and we hope that they will enjoy their time in our school. Please take care of yourself."

As he was busy reading, the principal suddenly spoke up.

"Alright everyone, this is the end of the entrance ceremony. Please gather at your respective class, the teachers will hand out your schedules and timetables."

The teachers came in and handed out the papers

Hajime went to his classroom and waited for the teacher, he sat alone and stared out the window.

He was thinking about the system and the changes, there are a lot of things to take care of. He has to make friends and join a club.

The teacher entered the class and began the lesson.

"Good morning, my name is Kana Suzuki. I will be your homeroom teacher for the next year, and I will try to teach you the basics of chemistry. Any questions?"

A female teacher, and a cute one. She had brown hair and a petite figure, but she was pretty.

There was a sudden uproar in the class, all the boys were whispering and talking.

"So, Miss Suzuki is going to be our homeroom teacher? We are so lucky..."

"We will get an amazing year, The guys from class 3 were so jealous that we have her."

"I'm sure that Miss Suzuki will love me, after all, I'm the hottest guy in this class."

Hajime just ignored them and listened to the teacher.

"Alright class, settle down. As I said, my name is Miss Suzuki and I will be your homeroom teacher for a year. The entrance ceremony has ended, and now we are moving on to the regular schedule. You will be following the regular program, which means that you will take the same classes and lessons. There are a few changes, however, which will be listed in the pamphlet. Now, for your first lesson, we will be covering the basic concepts of Chemistry."

The boys were disappointed but still listened to the lesson.

This was a subject that Hajime was familiar with, so he didn't need to listen to the lesson. He instead thought about the system and the abilities, he could get.

Hajime opened the screen and checked the number of skill points.

There were 30 points in the system, and it was enough for him to get a basic skill.

He was looking at the skills and abilities when suddenly a notification popped up.

Hajime clicked on the icon and was surprised by the options.

Hajime picked the 4 skills and saw his stats change.

'Oh, I have 20 points left.'

Hajime was glad that the system had helped him so far, but he had to be cautious.

The rest of the lesson was spent on analysing the system and the skills.

After a while, the teacher was finished with the lesson and moved on to the next subject.

The day went by quickly, and it was already lunch.

Hajime was sitting by himself at his table as usual. Despite being in his second year in high school, Hajime doesn't have many friends.

"Yo Hajime, can I sit with you?"

It was a familiar voice and one that Hajime knew.

'Ejiro?'

It was his classmate and best friend, Ejiro Tanaka. Unlike Hajime, he was popular and outgoing. He is also a sportsman and captain of the basketball club. Ejiro was a friend since middle school and the only one that Hajime had.

'He hasn't changed a bit.'

"Sure."

Ejiro sat across from Hajime and started to eat his lunch.

"How's your morning class? I was so bored, the maths teacher was old and boring. How could a teacher sleep during his lesson?"

"I had Miss Suzuki for chemistry."

"Wow, how was it? She is so pretty right, the guys in the class were talking about her. She is definitely on my MILF of the year."

Hajime hilariously watched as Ejiro was dragged out of the lunch hall by Miss Suzuki by the ear. He felt bad for his friend and hoped that nothing bad would happen to him.

'Well, time to eat.'

Hajime returned to his lunch and continued to eat. He was glad that he survived another day.
