Chapter Hundred and Ninety

Sunny turned and stared at her, he was traveling...was that the reason he haven't spoken to her the week? She felt a sudden chillness "He...he hasn't mentioned about that"

She forced herself to word out while telling herself to breathe calmly, the last thing she wants now is to cause any scene. "Oh... Miranda stared in shock at his son who suddenly turned cold.

"I'm so sorry, I thought, you've told her already" she looked from her son to her son's girlfriend who seems she could pass out any minute. "Here" she passed a glass of water to her which she gladly took.

"Are you alright? She asked she watched her gulp the glass of water down "Yeah, I'm fine now" Sunny dropped the glass shakily on the desk and did her best to smile.

"Sunny" Andrew reached out across the table and held her hand. "Miranda didn't expect it to be out like this, but...we decided it time to leave...

Sunny tried to make sense of a lot of things her uncle was saying, just a smile, and they won't suspect how much pain she was enduring.

"The best part of being here is getting to meet you, I have always prayed and wished that one say that I'll get to meet my little Sunny and this visit fulfilled my wish".

She nodded but snatched away her grip from Josh beneath the table, she felt cold not knowing exactly how to react as she listen to Andrew speak. " I understand uncle" she looked from him to his wife but did not dare to turn toward Josh.

She wanted to be far away from him, why didn't he tell her, why was she hearing it now and this dinner...it wasn't to make it up to her, it was to let her know he was leaving.

She swallowed hard. "It's delicious, she complimented the food, just to end the awkward silence in the room "It's a traditional meal that's always prepared by my mother...

The rest of her word was like water flowing endlessly away, she just couldn't contain how angry she was but she did her best and tried to play calm.

The dinner went by slowly and Josh kept trying each second to hold Sunny hand beneath the table but she kept shrugging off her hand, he doesn't want to lose her because of this.

He was going to tell her when the time comes, but he never expected his mother to blurt it out like this.

He felt hurt as he watched her, it was just a few days before they finally leave and he wanted to spend each minute enjoying the few days they had together until they meet again.

After dinner, Sunny thank them and got ready to leave. " It was so great having you over Sunny, I wish theirs more time to get to know you"

Miranda reached out to touch her hand warmly, which she was in her right sense to stay some more and get to know this nice woman but since she got to know that Josh was leaving her.

She couldn't find the energy to engage in any conversation, all she wanted to do now was to go home and lay on her bed. "I'll escort you out" Josh offered that's the last thing he wants him to do, she wanted him to stay far away from her.

"I'll be going now uncle" she smiled as he went over to hug him, things were different now but okay...she guess?

She made her way out with Josh thrilling behind her "Sunny, Sunny! She kept hearing her name but didn't bother stopping till the felt a strong hand holding her still.

"Let go of my hand! She tried to push his hand away but he was gripping her tightly. "Please, I just want you to listen to me, please". "Let go of my hand, there is nothing to listen to!

"Just let me explain? " don't need any sort of explanation Josh, I came thinking you wanted to make up for acting like a jerk for the past week instead to invited me to let me know you're leaving through your mother"

"I didn't know my mum was going to blurt it out like that, I was going to tell you". " When? When you travel! tell me when you were going to tell me!

"I was waiting for the right time Sunny" hearing him say this made her very angry now and she found herself moving close to him till their inches away from each other

"Theirs no such time as the right time Josh" they both glared at each for some time before she walks off toward the parking lot where her driver was already waiting. She didn't hate him but she was very annoyed with him, he was leaving and she was just knowing about it now...

A week before he leaves, that was so mean of him... She has her driver, drive her home. All she wanted now was her bed, her bed was get comfort.

"How was the dinner" Sunny stopped and turned toward the sitting room and found her mum seated there with a book in her hand. "I can't seem to fall asleep when you're not here".

"Oh, she nodded but didn't but did not move " Are you okay? Sunny asked as she watch her daughter. Sunny just wanted to say a whole lot of things that were annoying her at that moment but instead, she shrugged without saying a word.

Rebecca had to stand up and walk toward her "Tell me, did something happen? " I just have to find out that Josh is traveling back to the states, I mean they're just here for some time I shouldn't be angry or sad right?

She stepped away from her mother and headed upstairs not wanting her to see the tears in her eyes, like she said...she shouldn't be angry or sad.

Just as she was changing her outfit her mother walked in and stood by her door. "What made you think you shouldn't be angry? That was the first thing she asked after watching her for a while.

"I just know that I shouldn't be, I shouldn't feel anything". " Of course, you should, you're human and you have emotions and it tends to change whenever something good or bad happens"

"It doesn't make any sense! " Yes, it does, you have feelings for him and now he's leaving, of course, you'll feel bad". Sunny angrily kicked her dress that was on the floor away. "I hate this, I hate it! "It's fine to feel angry now, it just shows how much you like him"

"I don't just like him mum, I love him! She was shocked immediately the world came out, she didn't expect those words...she just stood there and stared at her mother, it was like an awkward silence.

She just felt speechless about what she just said now and the next minute, she was trying to explain her words. Rebecca walked to her daughter with a smiled and wrapped her arm around her.

"Shush! Don't say a word, it's fine, I understand how you feel" Sunny could only nod and try to make sense of what she just blurted out. "I really do love him" she finally said still not pulling away from her mother's arms. "I love him, mum" "I know". " But he's leaving me, I love him but he's leaving"

"Don't overthink anything darling, I'm sure you guys can work it out if have the same feelings for you". "I don't want him to leave, I want him to stay here with me, is it too much to ask?

Rebecca shook her head " You guys need to talk it out, know your feelings toward each other" "I don't think we'll get a chance to do that" she pulls away from her mother "I don't think we'll have that time mum".

"When is he leaving? " Just a week from today". "You could make out time one of these few days to discuss it darling"

"I walked out on him after dinner, I was very angry that he didn't tell me, I just have to learn about it from his mother, that was the real reason he had been acting strange this past week!

"No matter how angry you are Sunny, you sh give him time to explain". " I'm not sure, he's going to come back after what happened today"

"Of course, he's going to come back, if he has this same feeling you have for him, he'll definitely come back" Sunn slumped on her bed tiredly, she was tired of things getting so complicated.

Why won't things be easy for her "I wait...and see if he comes back". Rebecca smiled as she pats her kneel gently " Why didn't you remarried all these years?

Sunny looked at her mother, she remembered seeing him with one certain man always in the magazine' she craves out, what happened? Her mother missed telling her that part.
