It's all a lie

Another day is about to start. As I woke up from bed, I did my daily routine before going out to work. Eat, wash dishes, clean my house, take a bath and prepare to work. Yes I'm doing everything since I'm living all alone. I decided to move away from home to train myself to become independent. Someone told me that girls doesn't want a guy who is dependent and living with family. I wan't to make my own family too that's why I need to be alone.

My name is Nicholie. I am 21 years old. I am working as Accounting Manager in our company. Yes we are a little rich. But I am humble person. I didn't tell my friends and co workers that I am the son of the company owner. I just wan't to live normally like everyone do. I'm single and ready to mingle. I need to go to work now so I went out already. I walk towards the parking area to where my car parked. I opened my car, sit on t

the driver set and start the engine. I gently drive my car out of the parking area and reach the road.

There are so many cars on the road. Thanks God it's not so t.raffic yet. Good thing I went out earlier , peak hours. When I arrived at our building parking area, I immediately wen't inside the elevator and press the floor number on where our office is. As I expected, only few of the employees are here at this time. I log in and walk pass through them and went inside my office. Im not a jolly manager who greets employees when I arrived, so nobody greets back since they don't know that I'm here already. I sat on my chair and open my laptop. Suddenly my phone rings. When I saw the screen, It's dad.

"Hey dad! why so early?"

"Oh sorry, are still asleep?"

"Nope. I'm at the office already."

"Really? You're an early bird now huh."

"I guess so, I just happen to woke up early."

"Good for you. Anyway, I just want to tell you something. This will make your day wonderful."

"Oh! I think I know it already"

"Well, I think you guess it right. The team already book for our new adventure."

"Hooray! I can't wait! When it is? Where it is?"

"Easy son, One question at a time. You are really my son when it comes to this matter."

"You know me right dad."

"Anyway, our schedule is on September 10th. And guess where?"

"Where it is dad, just spill the seed."

"Ok ok! It is in the largest forest of the world."

"You mean in the Almanzon?"

"You're right!"

"Gosh! How exciting! But how did you let the Department of Adventure to allow us? Is it really fine with them? I taught it is a prohibited forest."

"You know how money works right? And they already change the Head of the Department of Adventurer. The strict one retired already."

"Oh! That's it. I can't wait to go there, and it's been awhile since our last adventure."

"Yes your right son. Anyway I need to go, your mom ask me to be her driver. Bye son"

"Bye dad. take care, and mom too."

After saying goodbye, I ended the call. It was my dad. His name is Renzo Perez, the owner the company I'm working with. He is not the typical owner who works his butt hard for the company. He is happy go lucky type of person but He knows how to deal with every type of person that is why his company succeeded. After I started working in the company, he resigned immediately to enjoy his remaining life with mom. He is not that old yet, He is 59 years old this year. I let him be since I'm the only one he can trust for now.

And since I already introduce my dad, I would like to introduce my mom also. Her name is Nathally. She is beautiful and loving mother. She always takes good care of me and dad. She is 1 year younger than my dad.

I sit back on my chair and started typing on my lot. A lot of work is ahead so I need to start working now. Suddenly, someone knocks on the door.

"Good morning sir. Someone is looking for you."

"Who was it? Did she book an appointment?"

"No sir, but she keeps insisting that she knows you."

"Please tell her to book an appointment. I have lot of work to do now."

"Yes sir, please excuse me."

When my secretary is about to close the door, someone Push it and a lady enter my office. She smiles at me. Her eyes look all over my office. She is tall, and sexy. She is also beautiful. Wearing luxurious clothes, shoes, accessories and bag. I think she came from a rich family. But I don't know her at all. I don't know what's her business with me. Then, she suddenly sit in the chair infront of my desk.

"Hey Nicholie, I search for you everyone, I finally found you!"

"Who are you?"

"Oh common! You don't remember me?

"I don't you any idea of who might you be. Well you see I at work and I have tons of work to do, so please you may now excuse yourself."

"Gosh Nicholie! It's me Adda! We meet at the club last week. And we kissed remember?"

"What? Kissed? Me and you? I don't remember you at all! And I don't remember kissing anyone!"

"Seriously? I think you are very drunk that night. I think you also didn't remember that something happens to us."

"Oh my! Don't you dare tell me that we do that thing!"

"You are thinking right! We do it in the club! And I wan't you to be responsible for what we did."

"Gosh! I think you are talking to the wrong person."

"No! I have evidence! See this photo of us together lying side by side!"

"Shit! You're kidding me! You just photoshop it right?"

"It's real! I will leave it to you. You can let an expert check and verify the authenticity of that photo. Then call me in this number if its not edited. I'll go for now. Bye!"

After the girl named Adda leave my office, I get the photo that she left. I felt terrified by seeing myself in the photo lying side by side with a women whom I don't know. Gosh! This is terrible. what really happen that night. I don't remember at all. I just remember when I wake up the next day, I'm still wearing my pants and undies, so it is impossible that we do that. I think I got wasted that night since it's my first time to drink. I need to ask Byron, Vien and Alexis later of what happen to me.

I continue my work and try to forget what just happen. But my eyes keep on looking the photo. I can't concentrate at all, But I manage to finish the first half of my workload for today. I take a break since it's already lunch break. I just ordered something to eat and eat on my desk. After finish eating, I get my phone and open my messenger. I started a video call on our group chat (The handsoms) which includes me, Byron, Vein and Alexis. We are best friend's since young because we live in the same neighborhood. The call started ringing. Only Vein answer the video call.

"Hey dude what's up?"

"Hey Vein, I just to ask and clarify something."

"About what? I'm feeling nervous all of a sudden."

"Well, you remember that time when we go to club? Last week?"

"Yes dude! You got wasted."

"What happened to me after?"

"You went to the comfort room and disappear."

"What disappear? How did I disappear?

"We also don't know. When we notice that you are taking so long in the comfort room, we wen't there to check on you but you're no where to be found."

"Gosh dude! Why you didn't try calling on my phone or detect on where my location is?"

"We did dude, but your phone's off."

"Shit! I think she planed it very well."

"What are you taking about? Who's she?

"Dude! This morning, someone embark in my office. She kept insisting that we kissed and do it. And she wan't me to be responsible to what we did."

"What? Do you mean, the thing's that couple do alone?"

"Yes dude, that what she said. And she has a photo that testify on what she is saying. See it. Do you think it's edited"

"Crop! It's really you dude! I don't think it's edited."

"No way! So it's true? But I remember when I woke up in the morning, I'm still wearing my pants and undies. I'm just half naked."

"But dude she is beautiful. She's like an angel. Why not keep her? It's your chance to get a girl."

"No way! I don't know her. I don't even know where she came from."

"You will know her when you too started dating."

"Stop it Vein! You're giving me goosebumps."

"Hahaha, Anyway it's almost work hours, I need to go. Let's meet later with the gang."

I really think that girl set me up only. I need to go back to that hotel and investigate. I'll go there later after work. For now I need to focus and finish my workload for the day.

After a long hours, work hours is finally over. So I started packing my things and turn off my laptop. I wen't out my office and said my goodbyes to my co workmates. I log out and went straight to the elevator. Upon arriving at the parking area, I wen't to my car and start the engine right away. I really need to know what happens in me.

While driving, I remember what Vien said. It's really my chance to get a girl since I'm NGSB (no girlfriend since birth). But I don't want to get a girl this way. A minute later, I already arrived at the hotel. I directly went to the front desk employee

"Good afternoon sir! Welcome to Grand Son Hotel. How may I help you?"

"Amh, I just wan't to investigate something, May I request for a copy of your CCTV footage on October 20 this year."

"Sir we are not allowed to disclosed our hotels privacy. You can talk to our manager about that."

"Yes please, I'd loved to speak with your manager."

"Just wait a second sir I'll call our manager."

The front desk employee dialed the telephone and talk with her manager. I hope I can ask a favor to their manager. After a while someone is talking behind my back.

"What's the commotion all about? What do you wan't sir?"

"Ma'am this guy wanted to check our CCTV footage."

I turned around to face and talk to the owner of the voice. My eyes widened upon seeing who it was.

"Oh Nicholie! It's you?"

"Leah, long time no see!"

"I'll handle it Ryza, you can go back to your area."

"Yes ma'am."

"Let's go to my office sir Nicholie."

"Hey don't call me that."

"You're manager too, so I should call you that."

"Ok ok! call me what you want."

She was Leah, one of my neighborhood. She is also my classmate upto high school. Apparently they move their home to another City when we graduated high school. Last month, we happen to meet again through our reunion. But I didn't got the chance to ask if she is living in this City now. Maybe I'll ask later.

We enter in her office and she let me sit down in the receiving area. She sit infront of me.

"Anyways, why do you need the CCTV footage on October 20?"

"Well I have this terrible situation. I just wan't to verify what happen that night."

"Did you lodge in our hotel that day?"

"Yes, but I don't how I ended here that day."

"Oh! I think you got drunk and someone bought you here."

"Yes that's it maybe. And you know what? A girl went to my office and insisting me to be responsible on what we did."

"You mean? She said you did it with her?"

"Yes that's what she's saying."

"Well, let see. But we don't have any footage inside our rooms."

"Yes I know, I just want to check the entrance, corridor and way to room . . amh. . 209 I think."

"You're really wasted that night Nicholie. You don't even remember the room number you stayed in. Hahaha."

"Yeah right. I told you already I don't remember anything." So if I got so drunk, she can't carry me alone right?"

"Yes you are right. Wait I'll request to our IT that footage."

"Yes sure. Thank you so much Leah."

"But please, let us keep this private ok. You know that we are not allowed to give copy to anyone aside from police investigation."

"Yes of course. I just really want to see it. I will get any copy of it."

"Ok. We'll wait for the response of the IT.

After few minutes of waiting. The hotel IT finally send the footage. I can't believe what I am seeing right now.

"Gosh! I knew it. Mom, dad, you are busted!"

"It was really you're mom and dad. Hahaha. I think they want you to get a girlfriend already.

In the entrance footage, Dad and Alexis is carrying me. Mom, Vein and Byron are also there. after an hour, the girl who came to my office enter the hotel entrance. Byron meet her there, and then they went in together. After an hour the girl went out the hotel. And the rest went out the hotel in the morning already. I think they manage to go out before I woke up. While in the corridor area, it was the same set up but we already enter in the room, then same with the entrance footage, the girl came in with Byron. I don't need to watch tell the end. I already know the answer.

"I really need to talk to these people. I'm only 21 my gosh! The world is not going to end yet."

"They just really want to help you."

"No way! This is not a joke. I'm really mad at them. Anyway, thank you so much Leah. My worries gone now. You're my life saver."

"Do not mention it. It's my pleasure to help. Where friends remember."

"Yes of course. Thank you for your time. I hope I didn't waste your precious time."

"Oh no!no! It's fine."

"Well then, I need to go. I'll treat you to a meal some other time."

"Yes sure chat me any time."

"Goodbye then."

"Goodbye Nicholie, take care."

I went out from the hotel and start my car. I send messages to our group chat (The handsomes) to go to my house. I went straight home. When I arrived the three boys are there already, my parents are seting quitelly too. By looking at their face, I think they know that I know already.

"Oh! why so quite? Do you think what you did to me is funny?"

"Sorry darling. it's your dad's idea. I wanted to object but he keeps pushing it."

"Whoever it is, you are also involved mom!"

"Im sorry son. This will never happen again."

"You dad! Are not confidence with me that you need to do that thing to me."

"Sorry son. I'm just afraid you'll be alone when me and your mom is gone. I'm really sorry. I'll promise not to do it again."

"You should be. I hope you'll stick to your words. Mom! Dad!

"Yes we promise son!"

"And you Vien! What a good actor."

"Sorry dude. I didn't want to lie, I just want to ignore your call to but I missed you."

"How about you Byron? How did you know that girl?"

"She was my girlfriend's friend. She is single and looking for man too that it was I picked her for you."

"Do you think that's right?

"No dude. I'm so sorry! I promise not to get ahead of you about this matter from now on."

"And you Alexis? You just had a girlfriend a month a go and you let them do this to me?"

"I'm so sorry do, I just go with what they plan."

"All of you! From now on I don't want you to interfere in this matter. Is that clear?"

"Yes we understand! We are so sorry."

We settled the misunderstanding peacefully with the important people in my life. I'm not really mad. I just want them to reflect, explain their side and hear me out.
