The adventure

It is the day I am waiting for. The day of our adventure to Almanzon. I woke up early to stretch and condition my body. Anyway I'm here at my parents house. I slept here last night so that me and dad can go together in the meeting area of the team. The 3 dudes (Byron, Vein, and Alexis) are also joining, they cancel their meetings for this day. This is a one time experience I think, so the three boys really want to go there. I just wan't to wander on that forest. I want to know what's in there. Is there really other creature living there? We will find out later.

"Oh son! you woke up earlier than me huh."

"Of course that, I am more excited than you."

"Hahaha! If that so, I'll let it be."

"Anyway that, is mom wake up?"

"Ah yes. She's in the kitchen preparing for our breakfast and food pack that we need to bring for the adventure."

"Yey! Mom is really the best."

"Anyway son, are those three dudes going with us?"

"Yes dad, Alexis flight was this morning. I think he's already in the airport."

"How about the two boys?"

"Byron and Vein cancelled their meetings for today. They finished their works all night and sleep in their office. Byron said they'll just meet us at the meeting place."

"Alright. They really want to go there too huh."

"Of course dad. This is once in a lifetime experience. We don't know when will it happen again if they will restrict that place to human soon."

"That's why we must go there before it will happen again. We might discover something in there."

"That's what I'm thinking too dad."

"You are really my son."

"Boys, breakfast is ready."

"Coming hon!"

"I think mom's excited for us too."

"Yeah your right son."

Dad and I went to our dining area and sat on our respected chairs. Mom cook everything we loved. She also pack our food that we are about to bring for the adventure. I saw dad's eyes spark while looking towards the food on the table. I think he's more in love towards mom today. Suddenly mom join us on the table.

"Ok boys, dig in."

"Thank you for the food mom."

"Thank you honey! your dish are the best in the world."

"Gosh! Your flattering me so much honey. Eat up."

"Yes honey. You too."

"Anyway son, are you really doing fine alone in your unit?"

"I'm fine mom. I really love my place. It was simple and nice. And it is also nearer to our company."

"That's maybe good. But how about household chores? Is your place not in mess?"

"Mom, I'm not a kid anymore. I already know basic household chores like, washing dishes, sweeping the floors and tidings my things."

"How about cooking and laundry?"

"I start watching in youtube some of the dishes. Slowly I can make it perfectly. And the laundry, I just went to laundry shop."

"Laundry shop? Gosh! Don't you know that some of the shops are not good enough? I can go there to wash your clothes, just give me a spare key."

"Mom, I know what your thinking. It's fine. The laundry shop is very good. They satisfy me. The staffs are good too."

"Hon let him be, he's not kid anymore."

"I'm just worried you know."

"I know where you're coming for mom, but please let me grow ok. I promise to comeback here or call you if I need or I can't stand it anymore."

"Ok son, eat up now."

Mom, dad and I finished our breakfast together. I volunteered to wash the dishes but mom didn't allow me cause she said I need to gain more strength for the adventure. While waiting to digest the food in my stomach by walking on our garden, someone press the doorbell.

"Hey dude! I'm here!"

"Hey Alexis! You arrived earlier than I thought."

"Yes of course! I don't want to be left alone, so I booked the earliest flight."

"That good then! Did you eat your breakast?"

"Yes I did while I'm on the plane."

"Alright, I see that you're all prepared huh."

"Of course! How about Byron and Vein?"

"They didn't contacted me yet. But Byron told me yesterday to meet them at the meeting area."

"Oh I see. I think they rushed their works all night long."

"You're right. They wanted to go to the Almanzon so badly too. That's why they need to finished it before tomorrow."

"Anyway come in first, Dad and I will start to prepare. I will let mom prepare something to drink."

Byron and I get inside the house. I let him wait in the living room and mom gave him coffee to drink. I ran upstairs to get ready and change my clothes that if fit for adventurer. Dad on their room is also preparing now.

When I'm done and everything I need is all ready, I went down stairs with my back pack.

Dad is already there waiting. Wearing his ultimate adventurer clothing.

"You are not the excited dad huh."

"You can't tell right? Hahaha."

"Boys listen up! This is the food for the five of you. You can just clip the box above your back packs."

"You really prepared a lot hon. You are the best."

"Of course! I don't want you all to get hungry. And your waters? Are they filled with water?"

"Yes mom!"

"How about you Alexis?"

"It's filled auntie."

"Ok good boys. Nicholie just bring this 2 boxes left for Byron and Vein. Just give it to them when you meet."

"Yes mom, I will."

"And please! Be careful all of you ok?"

"Yes mom!"

"Yes hon!"

"Yes auntie!"

When everything is ready, we bid our goodbyes to mom. We decided to use my car. So I will be the driver for today. I start the engine and drive towards the direction of the team's meeting area.

When we arrived at the meeting place, Byron and Vein are already there. And other members are already there, I think only few haven't arrived yet.

Dad and Alexis went out from the car and I drive it to the parking area. I hop out from the car and join the others.

"Hey Byron and Vein! You two are really amazing. You manage to come here earlier than us despite of your sleepless night huh."

"Hey Nicholie! Of course! Byron and I managed to finished everything past 1'oclock. So we slept earlier than we thought."

"Yes Nicholie! It's just our normal sleeping time right?"

"You too are really something and amazing huh. Anyway, mom prepare something for the two of you."

"Oh! Auntie us really amazing!

"Yes you're right Vein, We really didn't prepare for our food cause Auntie might make for us too. And I'm right!"

"You really has thick skin Byron! Anyway, mom said to just clip it above you back packs si you can easily grab it. See ours?"

"Oh! What a brilliant idea. When we get home I will directly went to your house to thank auntie for this."

"You should be dude!"

" Hey guys! Common! Stop chit chatting. Let's get inside now. The orientation will begin soon."

"Yes dad! We're coming! Let get in guys."

The four of us get inside the orientation room and set beside dad. Anyways, orientation is being discussed before heading out to adventure destination. This is to ensure the safety precautions, do's and dont's for all the members. After the orientation, each one of us get one piece of waiver and signed it. It's written that the Adventurer Club has no obligation if something happens to us since it's our own will something like that. And we need to sign it to proceed. We don't care anymore about that piece of paper, I know that we are going to a dangerous place.

After the Club secretary collected all waiver. We ready our things, first aid kits and we are about to go.

From the meeting place, all members need to ride on a bus. Our club has one bus sponsored by our club president last year. So, we don't need to worry driving our own cars going there.

When Everyone is already on the bus, the team leader signals the driver to go. The driver start the bus engine and ready to depart.

I just sit on the bus quitelly same with the others. I get my phone and earphone. I plug in my earphone into my ear and start the music. My dad setting beside me closed his eyes to take a nap. I turn around to see what the other guy's doing. Byron, Vein, and Alexis sit side by side with their head on the head board and already snoring. I think I also need to take a nap. So I closed my eyes while listening to some music and slowly fall asleep.

"Son! wake up we're here!"

"Oh we are here. Sorry dad I fall asleep."

"That's fine, I fall asleep too."

"Dude you sleep soundly huh."

"Hey I also hear you, Alexis and Vein sleep soundly, so I decided to take a nap too."

"Everyone! Get down from the bus now. We need to hurry to comeback before the sunset."

"Oh let's get down now. The team leader is already on fire. Get your things now son."

"Ok dad. You can head down now, I'll follow you shortly."

"Come down quickly dude."

"Yeah yeah! Go now!"

I hurriedly put all my things on my back pack and wear my bag on my back. I quickly get down from the bus and join the others.

When all members get down from the bus, we fall inline and start counting off. The team leader remind us the safety precautions once again. After the final reminders. We started walking towards the Almanzon entrance.

"Wow! This place is so amazing!"

"Hey Alexis, lower your voice, the team leader might kick you out in here."

"Sorry Nicholie, I'm just overwhelmed."

"Sssshhhh! Who was that?"

"It was me sir! I'm sorry."

"Please keep your mouth shut. Just observe the surroundings."

"Yes sir."

Me, Byron, Dad and Vein, grin at Alexis quitelly. And I'm signing to him "I told you".

We just continue walking quitelly inside the forest.

The trees are really tall and huge. It's my first time seeing such kind. I hear different sounds of birds. There are also mushroom sprouts along the road. I also noticed that the path we are taking feels like someone came here before us. There is already pathway-like to a specific direction since there is no grass already to where we are stepping. I thought that we are the first team visited this place, and that's all we know. But how come there is something like this. And mybe our team leader notice this already since he is just following the path on which we don't know where it is going and when it will end.

After 3 hours of walking inside the forest, our team leader tells us to rest and take our lunch break since it's almost 12 noon. We gather around and count off. When our team leader ensure that members count are intact, he told us to find our own spot and eat our lunch. Me, Dad and the three boys find the good spot. It was under a beautiful big tree. We hurriedly approach the tree and lay our mat to avoid insects from bitting our butt and feet. We sat down, get our lunch box and start eating.

"This is all worth it."

"You are right uncle. From the entrance itself, I already feel the nature's ambiance."

"That's true Alexis! And it feels like the trees are attracting you to come in."

"I feel the same way to Byron. But have you noticed that the path we are taking feels like someone already came here before us? I mean there is already way that has no grass sprouts."

"That's what I'm thinking too Vein! Do you think someone already came here? But, how come there is no report or posts about that?"

"No way! We all know they keep restricting this forest to human. Not just until now."

"That's what I'm thinking By! Or else, they came here secretly."

"It might be possible son. Maybe some private adventure tried to visit these forest already. And we will find out soon once we get to explore the entire entire forest."

"Are wee sleeping here uncle? Because I'm sure, a whole day is not enough to explore this forest."

"I don't know Alexis. The team leader will announce later. And if ever we will sleep here, the club must prepare everything we need."

"Anyway, Did you get some photos Nicholie?"

"Yes I already take some photos while on our way here Vein."

"Oh, thanks dude! Please give me some copy when we go back home."

"Of course."

"The two of you really loves nature's photos."

"You said it right Alexis."

"Are you all done eating? Let's take some photos together. I'll just set the timer."

"I'm done son."

"We're done too."

"Ok, kindly put the lunch boxes aside and come closer. Byron, move towards Dad. A little closer, and that's nice! Hold that place, and count one to five."

I hurriedly run into the others and sit beside Alexis. I smile confidently and then the camera click after five seconds. I went back to get the camera and see if the shot is good.

"Hey let me see if I look handsome."

"Gosh Byron, You're always conscious with your face."

"Of course! This is my asset."

"Asset my ass!"

"Common let me see it."

"Here! see it clearly."

"Shocks! It's so great! It's refreshing in the eyes."

"Let me see Byron. Oh! it's amazing! The light is perfectly set naturally. The green environment makes it calm."

"Very well said Vein. You really has eyes for photography too."

Suddenly the team leader call our attention.

"Everyone! Let's all clean up our garbage and get ready. We will continue walking after 30 minutes. Make sure not to leave any trash."

"Yes sir!"

We start cleaning our spot, arrange our things and put it in our back pack. We make sure not to leave any trash on our spot. After everyone is good and ready to go. Our team leader count off the member to make sure we are intact. After ensuring that everyone's around, the team leader signal that we are about to go so he start walking and followed by everyone.

While walking I saw a squirrels on the tree. They are a group of family I think. And they are looking towards us. Maybe they are in shock to see human being roaming in their habitat. I just take photos of everything I am seeing, I'll just filter it later on.

After a very long walk, our team leader decided to take a break. It's getting dark already so I think he will announce if we'll go back now or stay the night. He call everyone to gather around.

"Everyone I have an announcement, since it's getting dark already and I think we didn't reach the center of the forest yet, we need to vote if we'll stay here or we will go back now."

One of the team member raise his hand and stand up.

"But what if majority votes to stay here? Do we have everything we need?"

"Of course, we prepare everything. We have enough food and water, flashlights, tents and other basic needs."

"Alright, that's the only thing I'm concerned, food."

All of us laugh to our members answer. We'll that's my concern too. Maybe we have nothing to worry if we stay.

"Alright everyone! You can search your own spot to where you'll stay. But make sure to stay closed to each and everyone. But before that, Please group your selves into five. Each tent can accommodate upto 5 person. And, after grouping, your leader can get the tent from me. Then we will start preparing our food. Let's hurry before it get's dark."

After the announcement, other members start looking to whom they'll group in. Since our group has already 5 members (Me, dad, Byron, Vein and Alexis) I now approach our team leader to get the tent and I told the others to find a spot. And after getting it, I search for my group mates. I saw them beside a tree. I think it's a good spot.

"Guys here is the tent. Let's start setting up this."

"Yeah let's do it! I want to change my clothing now."

"Me to Byron, And I want to lay down and rest my legs."

"That's what I'm Thinking too uncle."

"I think all of us want te rest our body already, so let's hurry setting this up.

"Let' do it!"

The five of us start working on our tent. We are all excited to rest that's why we are doing it hurriedly. Then, a few minutes later, we finally set up our tent. We went inside already and change our clothes in order for us not to get cold because of our sweat. After tidying up ourselves, finally we lay down.

"Gosh! this is so relaxing. It feels like it was my first time to lay on my back."

"That's so true Alexis! Imagine the very long walk we've made."

"Exactly five hours of walking Vein."

"You are really a time keeper Byron. Hahaha"

"Of course time is gold for me."

"Anyway boys, we still need to get up. We need to help them prepare our food."

"Later dad, the team leader still busy distributing tent, and I think he will also tidy up himself too before preparing food."

"Alright son, maybe he'll just yell later when he needs help already."

"That's for sure dad. For now, let's just enjoy lying down."

Since nobody talks already, I just close my eyes. I'm falling asleep already. Gosh! This is so relaxing. I'll just take a nap.
