57. Dream

Shounak was shocked and terrified. He didn't want to meet , at least not under such circumstances, not in his condition . He quickly turned around and closed the doors with slammmm....

He thought he must be dreaming, 'How can she come here when she is in another city. I should open the doors and check again.'

On the other side , D was confused, 'What's with this reaction , am I a ghost ?'

Just as she was thinking about what to do , the doors opened again .

This time the man was also composed and so was D . She smiled and extended her hand for handshake," Good to see you Mr. Sen , I'm your new caretaker. Please take care of me ."

D greeted him professionally without hint of recognition . That was her plan to make him admit it himself that he knew her and also to avoid him directly chasing her out .

And D's plan worked , Shounak was confused,' why she is acting like a stranger and A caretaker , wasn't she a doctor ? what happened? what's going on ? '

He didn't respond to her greeting , thinking he was seeing things .

D was not in her usual style of carefree girl , instead she wore large baggy clothes with full framed glasses ,so it was normal for him to be confused and mistaken .

D didn't take any offence and followed him inside . She saw him holding a phone to his ear talking ," Maa , why did you send a caretaker ? and that too a girl . What are you thinking ?"

He was fuming mad , D can see that but she didn't react . The other side hung up and he turned around and saw her .

D was slightly disappointed, seeing no reaction on his face other than confusion at first but that was also replaced by stone cold face pretty fast .But she didn't let that , dampen her mood . She smiled at him and again introduced herself ," Hello Mr. Sen , I'm Divya . I assure you , you won't be disappointed with my service." D's words were suggestive and both knew that .

Shounak finally reacted , confirming she was his D," You are welcome ,Miss Divya , hope you won't run out of here crying ."

His words brought pain to D , both were hurting but none will back off . D replied ,"Rest assured Mister , that day won't come ."
