58. Alone

Both didn't drop their acts . They acted like a stranger . But D thought it was a good thing , at least it was better than throwing her out and again shutting himself in this mansion .

D was gonna observe how long can he maintain this indifferent facade or is it true that he didn't care about her now ? She will know that soon .

There was no one in mansion . Mrs Sen has told her that house cleaners will come at once per week otherwise there was no one in the mansion except him . So D started getting busy , she roamed around the mansion . It was mansion with both modern and ancient touch . It has great artistic style . The more she roamed around mansion the more she found it familiar . It was same as she described to him , the home she wanted . Now she was sure he hasn't forgotten her and she still holds a place in his heart.

It was noon by the time D finished her strolling around the mansion . So she started preparing lunch for both of them . She prepared some light dishes which he liked according to her memory. He hasn't come out of his room since morning, so she went to call him .

She knocked on the door two times and opened the door . There he was sitting by the large floor to ceiling window looking outside . The air around him was lonely , desolate and sorrowful. He looked very tired of everything. D's heart ached for him , once a strong and confident soldier has reduced to this state . She just stood their entranced , busy in her own thoughts .

When he felt someone's presence behind him , he turned around , his gaze was sharp and there was killing intent in the surrounding.
