Oh it's nothing, just my pet

[Title <Undeath Emperor> is activated, All who you deem as prey will be terrified. The Preys are much weaker than you, Effect {Fear} will be more effective]

Everyone who Sizuin had seen in the few hours was terrified. It affected everyone, the people in the caravan, bandit group and the alpha giant wolf were frightened.

'Oh? The {Fear} is amplified when the prey is weaker? Then… does that mean it would diminish if the opponent is stronger? I'll find out later, for now.'

Sizuin look towards the 10 meter tall 3 tailed wolf.

'Let's get this thing out of here, it would probably come back to fetch it's cub when it 'mystically' sniffs the cub's scent. After that, I wouldn't need to waste my time and bring this goliath back to the fortress city. How would I even bring it back anyways? I'll let this guy figure it out when it chases after me.'

His first army member wouldn't need to be rushed, it's power wasn't that strong either. Sizuin did things slowly and carefully, especially now that he had finally escaped the Empire.

Sizuin focused his full bloodlust and ability towards the wolf, Zexn and the leaders who were close to the wolf also felt this terrifying combination personally. They were frightened and most of them collapse onto the ground while Zexn barely stood up with shaky legs. The wolf quickly escapes when it felt such strong bloodlust set it's eyes on it, forgetting the reason it came here.

As the wolf escapes, everyone else was still tense. The fear they are still feeling wouldn't let them move, their bodies felt that they were weaklings and just mere prey towards the source of this fear. Even after the core of the fear disappeared, many still couldn't move or… they still dare not to move yet. Only after 6 minutes did they regained their minds and asked everyone else about it, they had also helped the ones who were still petrified.

Even Zexn, the previous captain of a Kingdom, was petrified for minutes. A captain was a fairly high ranking position in the eyes of everyone here.

Zexn said

"We need to get out of this forest! Quickly! Get all the valuables and run away! Whatever you do, just get out of here safely!"

Zexn was panicking and tried to hide it away from his face, he didn't want everyone to panic right now. They could panic later if they manage to escape whatever monstrosity they stumbled upon.

Seeing the bandits hurriedly trying to escape, Kelfy also ordered his men to pack up and run away. He was experienced in many unexpected situations so he didn't show his panic either. However, the adventurer's party leader couldn't hide his panic at all. he was also at the forefront when the concentrated bloodlust passed by them, he hadn't felt anything like that at all. Even his father, who ranked higher than a squad captain, couldn't show such incredible bloodlust and made him fear that much.

Aden was personally trained and he knew his father's capabilities well.

As for Sizuin, he acted as usual and made no one suspicious about him. However, since it was his 2nd time activating his fear inducing skill, his mana was a bit more turbulent than normal. It would go back to normal after a while though.

After the guards finished packing, kelfy ordered everyone to rush towards the exit of the forest. The adventurers had split up in order to calm down the passengers and normal people, kelfy most likely gave them extra rewards to do this. 

Adventurers were received nicely by the population since they could request for them to help with certain things quickly and smoothly, even finding a cat was allowed. The public viewed them as a helpful and helpful fellows.

The Adventurer's Guild had quite an image

In Sizuin's carriage, besides the 9 other passengers, the magician from the adventurer group was also inside. She calmed down the others and said that the monsters were already taken care off. Sizuin hid his wooden staff so he wouldn't have any reasons for the magician to converse with him. Even if he could act perfectly, he didn't want to be bothered.

Next to him, a black cotton bag moved about. When it was about to fall on the ground, Sizuin grabbed it and placed it back onto the seat. He had already repeated this 7 times and the others noticed this weird, moving, bag quite some time ago.

Sizuin also just stared at the bag while not making a sound so the others felt that it would be awkward if they asked about it.

"uhm… Sir?"

The magician girl broke the awkward silence

"Yes?"

Sizuin replied nonchalantly

"Do you mind if I ask what's inside the bag? If you do, I won't ask further"

"Oh it's nothing at all, it's just my pet"

His plan of not conversing with this troublesome mage was unsuccessful.

Sizuin went back to staring at the bag and silence returned to the carriage. The magician asked after another minute of silence.

"uhm… may I know why you put your pet in the bag?"

"It was sleeping and I didn't want it to be disturbed by the commotion outside."

Sizuin replied nonchalantly again

The observant passengers thought in their minds

'When did he have a pet? I didn't see it the last few days.'

They weren't going to question it since they felt that it was too private, it was his pet anyways.

The magician didn't know about this information, otherwise, she would have questioned it. She wasn't really smart about these kinds of things since she was used to asking everyone everything.

"Then… May I see your pet?"

Since it led up to this, Sizuin used his other plan.

"Sure, but be careful, it doesn't like strangers."

Sizuin decided to befriend the mage. She could help with his identification if things go well.

Sizuin unzipped the bag and took out the wolf cub, he put it down on the seat and let it look around at it's new and not dark surroundings.

The cub kept looking around, Sizuin grabbed some meat he had and fed the cub. Seeing the good looking food in front of it, the cub happily ate the meat. After it was done, it sat down next to Sizuin and slept.

Seeing this, Sizuin ignored it and went back to meditating.

The magician however, was speechless.

'Did he not understand what I meant by seeing it? It means that I want to touch it! And especially a cute dog like that!'

The mage misunderstood the alpha wolf cub as a grown dog and wanted to do what other girls would want to do in this situation. Pet it.
