*Wouf! Wouf!*

Slinia, the newly named alpha cub, woofed at Sizuin. It looked happily at the roasted meat in Sizuin's hand, this cub is going to be a gluttonous devourer in the future…

'Doesn't monsters grow more powerful when they eat high grade meat of other monsters? There's some monster tamers in Maple Empire but i didn't get enough information during my stay… Well, that's what this guinea pig is for i guess.'

Sizuin tossed the meat to the cub and it jumped up, catching it. Sizuin could see the sparkles and stars in the little cub's purple eyes as it bit down on the juicy cooked meat.

Currently, the caravan was camping on a plain field. They were already far away from the forest and just a few hours left to reach the stronghold city Raisaz.

The magician girl had been pestering Sizuin with her endless questions while Sizuin replied back with short and vague answers. With the girl's personality, Sizuin's answers made her ever more curious about this young mage. Over the trip, they were getting closer, which Slinia might have helped with, and they could be considered close acquaintances. 

Just a little more and they could be called friends 

 While Sizuin was being a loner, the magician girl, Lalatina, had joined her adventurer friends at another part of the camp.

"Hey tina!! Over here! We got some grilled grass cow meat! It's so goooood! Here, take a piece!"

The Cleric gave a share of her crisp golden brown meat and handed it to Tina

"Really?! Who brought it? I haven't eaten this in such a long time! Was it Aden? Or was it Albert? Maybe Ven?"

Tina ate her piece of meat slowly as she savoured every part of the delicious meat. Grass Cows were rare beast that had delicious meat. It was typically eaten by nobles or famous adventurers, ordinary people couldn't even buy a single kilogram of it even if they saved up for months.

"It was Aden, his mother gave some bags of it when we left for this quest. Anyway, let's go back to the tent, there's some more meat and drinks left for us to eat!"

The Cleric, Lily, pulled Tina along back to a big and grand looking tent. It looked more like a camp that was meant for weeks of camping rather than a few hours. This Adventurer group is quite lavish.

Tina looked back at Sizuin who was playing with Slinia, she had complicated eyes but in the end, walked back to the luxurious tent.

'I'll just come back later, I still have more questions after all'

To Tina, Sizuin was a young skinny mysterious boy who would only bring more questions the more you knew about him. Coupled with her questioning personality, she couldn't help but be intrigued by Sizuin. She was too deep for her to stop now.

Sizuin's plan to befriend Tina was going quite well.

"Oh it's Tina! How have you been the last couple hours? My carriage had a couple of kids and it was so troublesome for me to look after them! I should have changed carriages with Ven! Oh how my day could've gone better. hah…"

A tall and burly man complained loudly while drinking a cold mug of whitish-water.

"Oh shut it Albert! Have you experienced my hardships? I had to look after many frail old women! You know what i had to withstand huh?? They kept flirting with me!! They even showed of their saggy t*ts! I'm going to have a trauma of this now! I like to see you in that carriage!"

Another tall but slender man complained with tears trimming down his face. We can only say Amen to such a horrible trauma…

...Amen…

Anyways, Tina rolled her eyes at their antics. These two men have always competed in numerous competitions, whether they competed by showing off their heroic achievements or… unlucky and misfortunes like these

"Hey! Can you guys not drink here? All the alcohol stinks! Go and drink with the rest of the guards, me and Tina are going to dine elegantly not like you two buffoons!"

Lily kicked the 2 drunk man out and acted like royalty. Albert and Ven couldn't stand a chance against the short and fierce cleric, they got kicked out brutally. After they left, Lily had a glint in her eye as she looked over towards the various foods on a table. Especially the, golden brown roasted, grass cow steaks. All of her royal aura from before vanished in an instant as she quickly walked over to the steak with drool leaking out of her mouth.

"Hurry up Tina! I'm too hungry and i can't control myself right now, you might not get to eat the steak if this keeps up!"

"Hey! Wait for me! I want to eat it too!"

The two girls ate like hungry men, not even specks of meat could escape their mouth. No one saw the 2 girls eat like...that...as the tent, thankfully, covered the mess. Men's vision of women would completely shatter if they saw such behaviour.

After just a few minutes, the grass cow's meat had nearly all been devoured and only one plate of it was left. Lily and Tina looked at each other with a hidden meaning.

'It's mine'

Lily said,

"My dearest best-friend Tina! We have always known each other and share many secrets right? Since we are so close, would you please give this last plate to me?"

Lily used < blackmailing >! It was Effective!

"We have been friends for a long time and shared numerous secrets! But… I'm afraid if you eat more meat, your body will become bigger! I'm worried that your looks and weight will be unacceptable if you ate more! Please, for your's and my sake, hand over this steak to me."

Tina used < A Girl's Weakness >! Critical Hit!

"oh no no, no need for you to worry about that. I can eat this plate and not gain any weight! Besides, i also worry about you. I wouldn't want you to pain pounds because of this steak! Let me take this last one."

Lily used < Bluff >! It Misses!

"There's really no need, I am an Ice Mage. I can use magic to lose a few pounds easily! But you are just a cleric, you would have a hard time even losing just 100 grams! You wouldn't want 'him' to look at you in disgust do you?"

Tina used < Hypnosis >! It's Super Effective!

Lily fainted!
