Chapter 12: I am Her

After the light appears and the woman left, I found my eyes running in tears. Then I open it and found myself in the bed. The place seems different and new so, I tried to sit down but because of the wounds from the fall, I cannot move.

Then a girl in white clothes came. When she saw me awake she calls someone and a bunch of men came wearing white coats.

I don't know what is happening and I asked them, "wait, what are you doing? Stay away from me"

Then the man said, "she is confused, inject her" then the other men around him grab my hands and feet and inject something into my arms. I cannot fight them because they outnumbered me, but when they released their hands. I kick all of them and remove whatever is in my hand. I run in a hallway where I don't know what place it is. I just keep on running and saw a door. I run into it and found myself, in a different world.

Everything is changing and the village, the houses are different from before.

Then, when I look around again. My head felt dizzy and my eyes suddenly close and I fell down on the streets.

3:11 a.m

I wake up again and look around again if I am back to the abandoned house or in Death Village but still... I am in this different world. Then, when I look to my right, I saw an old woman with children beside her, a boy and a girl hugging her.

I sit down again touching my head and then the old woman speaks. "Oh dear, Alexandra. You should lie down, you are not feeling well." I don't understand what is happening but I just asked her this, "where am I? What is this place? Do you know where is the Death Village? I have to go home. Please..." I begged her.

She then looks at me and starting to cry and hug me. "Oh dear, you are home. This, this is the death village and because of you, you... you changed it and become like this." "Me? How? I remember I was in my favorite waterfall and I follow someone then I fell into a large hole because the floor is already rusty." She then got confused but then remember something. "Yes, that happened but that was a long time ago. We found you lying on the floor in that abandoned house but you are okay now. You are safe here with us."

I still don't get it, but then I stand up and look again at the mirror. When I look at it, I was surprised. The woman... the woman in the white room. I am her. Then I suddenly remember that this face was the one I saw in Emma's body who smiled at me. It's her, I am her.

I tried to convince myself that this is not real, that maybe I was just looking at somebody's body and I'll be back in my body. But, this old woman told me she was my mother and my father died protecting me. Another thing is that the children beside her are her grandchildren which means I am their mother which is nonsense.

Being in love with a man has not been my priority nor in my mind. I still haven't really understood myself and now I have children. It's not that I hate having a family but it never crosses my mind. I have to know more details about why I am really here and if I am the woman I am today what happened before. What happened to my father, Emma, Luis, Ethan, the governor, and who is the father of these children?

Uhh, my head, I cannot think anymore, maybe if I sleep it will help to bring back my memories or I could come back to where I belong.

In the morning, I am still in this different world, the different men, who are wearing white coats came back again. So, I grab a vase and to protect myself. Then, the old woman or my mother told me to drop it. "Don't worry they are just doctors. They just want to check your body if you are alright to go." I trusted her and drop the vase. I don't know why but she seems to be my mother so I stick to that.

After the doctors check my eyes, heart, and breathing they talk to my mother. They went outside to talk so, I follow them and listen to the door. "Your daughter is having a memory loss, she seems to forget why she was here and bring herself back from her past. So, maybe a little reminder of things that can help her bring her memories is the key to solve this problem." For a second I cannot hear anything then my mother speak again, "I don't know doctor, her past was too painful to remember. She might hurt herself if she remembers it."

Yes, it is painful but I still don't remember what happened that time.
