At the KiShin research building, Shin arrives at the entrance. He leaves his phone and belongings with the security guard, as is the standard procedure, and proceeds into the building. He is handed a mask and glasses as an extra precaution, even though he won't be entering the lab directly; he'll only be observing from outside the lab through the glass.
Inside, the researchers greet Shin warmly after donning their protective gear.
"Good morning, Mr. Suzuki. You're here quite early," Yuji remarks as he sees Shin.
Yuji isn't particularly surprised by Shin's presence, as Shin occasionally visits to provide suggestions, blueprints, and design input for their products.
"May I take a look at the unfinished handheld?" Shin asks with a smile.
"Of course, sir," Yuji replies, gesturing to his colleagues who are busy researching the handheld game console.
Shin's fellow researchers, donned in their protective gear, enter the lab. They retrieve the handheld and then return to the transparent walls separating them from Shin.
One of the researchers carefully places the handheld on a stand near the transparent wall, allowing Shin to observe the device's gameplay through the glass.
Upon seeing the partially completed handheld, Shin smiles with satisfaction.
While the handheld may not yet match his ideal, it's already a significant step in the right direction. Everything is in place, and Shin recognizes that this is just the beginning of the company's handheld gaming venture. Moreover, the unfinished handheld is nearing completion thanks to the funds Shin allocated to the research.
Now, Shin simply needs to be patient as the handheld inches closer to becoming his vision of the ideal gameboy.
"What are your thoughts, Mr. Suzuki?" Yuji inquires with a smile.
Returning the smile, Shin remarks, "It looks promising, but there are still some areas where it can improve. Remember, it's not the finished product yet." He gazes at the Tetris game being played on the incomplete handheld.
Yuji nods in understanding and proceeds to ask respectfully, "If I may inquire, why did you choose Tetris as the freebie to accompany the KiShin Gameboy?"
Being a valued member of KiShin, Yuji is privy to the company's future plans for the handheld gaming device.
Shin's smile widens slightly as he answers, "I intend to acquire the rights to Tetris in the near future."
Recognizing that Shin isn't willing to divulge more, Yuji wisely remains silent.

[Narita International Airport]
Inside the bustling airport, Orio Masayoshi, a middle-aged man dressed in a formal black suit, sits in a waiting area. He repeatedly checks his wristwatch to keep an eye on the time.
He's bound for New York, USA, and he's booked a flight for the journey. While waiting, he retrieves a set of papers from his suitcase, carefully scrutinizing the contents to ensure there are no errors.
At the top corner of the paper, the KiShin logo is prominently displayed.
Orio held the position of Business Development Manager (BDM) at KiShin Company, and he had been entrusted with the task of negotiating the acquisition of Tetris rights from NewLand, a company based in New York.
KiShin Company had already made preliminary contact, and the CEO of NewLand expressed a desire for an in-person negotiation. Thus, KiShin had no choice but to send their representative, Orio Masayoshi, to New York, USA.
Checking the airport board, Orio noticed that his flight time was approaching. He returned the papers to his suitcase and securely closed it. As his flight was about to depart, he rose from his seat and joined the other passengers who were boarding the same flight.
Orio hoped that the negotiations regarding the Tetris rights with NewLand would proceed smoothly.

After his visit to the company's research building, Shin got into his car and drove towards Tokyo's Chuo Ward, specifically the Ginza district.
What was his purpose?
Well...
He intended to purchase a luxurious ring from Ginza Mitsukoshi...
It was meant for his future wife, Mira Sakura.
With the approval of her parents already secured, there was no need for concern on that front. As for his own parents?
Frankly, Shin didn't care much about their opinions. He had distanced himself from his family and wasn't ready to reveal the extent of his success to them just yet, especially considering the vast difference in financial standing between him and his family.
If his family were to discover his modest success, especially the Suzuki family, a sizable and influential clan, he would likely be pestered by his four uncles and seven aunts. Three of his aunts were his father's sisters, and then there were the connections through his father and brothers. He needed to be prepared, especially for the envy and potential efforts to sabotage his company that might come from his brothers.
Such a situation was far from desirable.
Shin couldn't allow it to happen unless he had a firm grasp on the situation. His company was still a fledgling, a weakling compared to the Suzuki Group, which was akin to a behemoth.
He was so cautious that he would often wear a cap or face mask when leaving the company building. Since his company was private, his identity as the KiShin CEO remained undisclosed to the outside world. Only key employees and trusted programmers, with the exception of Mira's family as well as a certain journalist from TBS, knew his identity. He had signed a contract with TBS to keep his identity secret, and both parties wanted to avoid the consequences of violating that agreement.
Fortunately, the Suzuki Group, and his brothers' companies within it, seemed uninterested in uncovering the identity of KiShin's CEO. To them, KiShin was just a small company, despite its profits and earnings.
However, this didn't mean that Shin had no intention of revealing himself to the world. He would do so when he felt confident and capable of handling the consequences.
Shin drove for about 20 to 30 minutes before reaching his destination. After parking his car, he stepped out and walked along the sidewalks, before finally arriving at Mitsukoshi Station. There, many people bustled about, and Shin was now close to Ginza Mitsukoshi.
Ginza Mitsukoshi was a traditional department store in Tokyo, and with Ginza District in general are home to numerous luxury brands such as Cartier, Bulgari, and Tiffany & Co. It was at one of these brands that Shin intended to purchase a ring for Mira.
