*CRUMBLING WALLS*

"I'm not going anywhere." She crossed her arms over her chest and gave him a challenging gaze.

Lucas frowned, slightly confused by her reaction" Why not?"

'What did he mean why not!?.' Lisa screamed in her mind. Didn't he know that she was going to be beheaded for...uh..she couldn't really remember.

Oh! yes. They probably found out about their kiss the other time. Oh no!. She was really going to die this time.

"A penny for your thoughts?." Lucas's voice snapped her out of her jumbled thoughts and she remembered that she had been asked a question.

"Uh.. The reason is that I.. I don't want to die! Please don't let them behead me." She pleaded and Lucas finally understood what was going on.

"So you think the council are here to behead you?." Asked Lucas carefully and she nodded.

"For doing what exactly?."He questioned and she pursed her lips not saying anything first.

"That other time, we had kissed." She loosened her arms and fiddled with her fingers.

A smile broke through Lucas's face and his eyes twinkled in amusement" Sorry to burst your bubble little deer but that alone is not enough for them to behead you or strip me off my job."

It was now her turn to become confused at his words"But why?"

He seemed to think of something before answering" Well..for them to do that, we have to..what do you humans call it again? Oh yeah, we have to be dating."

"Dating?."

"Of course, when a man and woman are in a relationship before marriage. Isn't that what it is called?." He asked to see her nod absentmindedly.

"But even if we were dating, I won't let them find out so easily. It would be our little secret. And if they find out, all we have to do is run away and nothing will happen to us." Lucas explained and Lisa finally looked up from her hands.

Had he actually planned that much?.

"You have nothing to worry about Lisa. Don't show them that you are scared of them. Show them what I see in you. The real you that's been hiding in there." He pointed to her chest and somehow, his speech motivated her.

"Now be a good girl and get ready, I'll be waiting for you." He patted her head gently and left the room.

'Show them what I see in you.'

A small smile appeared on Lisa's face as she replayed his words. Despite the fact that she was angry at him, he always managed to sway her with his sweet words.

Standing up, she noted that the pain she felt before had decreased considerably. Looking down at her clothes, she also noticed that these were not the clothes she wore before leaving with the reaper.

'H-had Lucas changed her?.'

She immediately shook her head. He must have sent some maids to change her.

Not wanting to waste anymore time, she stripped off her clothes and went to the bathroom that most definitely belonged to lucas, entering the gigantic tub and quickly washing up. After which she came out and spotted a breathtaking ball gown laying on the bed.

She touched the silk gown and relished the soft fabric against her skin. It was so beautiful. Even touching it felt like she was going to stain the delicate gown. How could she wear this?. This deserved to be worn by a queen.

It was red in colour. Made of the most beautiful satin silk fabrics, it had only a few layers but it looked to be more than that. The length of the gown reached just above the floor, the ends were engraved with flower designs that matched the corset.

What Lisa didn't know how to do was to tie the multiple ropes that looked like they needed to be crossed behind.

Not bothering with that yet, she wore her under garments, let her hair down in waves and pinned the sides with flower pins before slipping into the beautiful gown.

She tried to fix the ropes from behind but that seemed like an impossible task. Her hands continually kept slipping down and she sighed in frustration.

Suddenly, a pair of hands slithered around her waist making her immediately stiffen. A strong wave of masculine scent hit her nose and she instantly knew who it was.

"What are you doing?." She tried to pull away from his grip but it was like moving a stubborn rock!.

"I saw you were having difficulties in putting the dress on so as the good guardian I was, I came to help." He bent his head, grazing his lips across her skin and she shivered at his touch.

"Your definition of help is different from mine." She managed to answer without her voice cracking and he chuckled softly on her skin.

Nuzzling his face deep in her neck, his tongue licked it slowly and Lisa shivered again.

Why was he doing this to her!?.

Pulling away, he studied the ropes first before tying them, taking his own sweet time as his hands occasionally brushed her bare back and Lisa noticed this.

"Can't you go a little faster?." She questioned hurriedly. She could already feel the walls that she built around her heart begin to crack slowly.

"If I go any faster than this, then I might end up touching your pretty back."

She pressed her lips together tightly and stopped talking. She knew that if she were to say something else, he might just use it to his advantage.

Finally, Lisa felt the ropes stop tugging behind her and she quickly pulled out of his embrace.

The dress she wore complemented her beauty a lot. Her reddish-brown hair flowed down her waist, her cheeks were tainted pink, and her rosy lips were slightly open, her brown eyes looked anxious as the red velvet silk gown was bold enough to catch anyone's attention.

Lucas who saw this marvelous sight wanted to touch her, he wanted to feel her hands on him, he wanted to hold her each second of the day but he couldn't do anything or else he might scare her away.

Taking her hand, he led her out of the room and she willingly followed whilst avoiding any eye contact with him.

'Oh lord please don't let me fall in love with him again.'
