*JEALOUS OR NOT?*

While they walked, Lucas occasionally asked Lisa about her legs and she assured him for the umpteenth time that she was doing fine. In each hall they passed, they met some maids on the way who bowed their head when they saw them and Lucas blandly ignored them, which Lisa covered up by giving them a small smile.

She could see admiration in each one of their eyes as Lucas walked ahead and some even lust.

Surprisingly, that reaction didn't seat well with her at all.

They paused at the double doors that Lisa had grown accustomed to and Lucas turned to her."Are you going to be alright? The elders might be a little tight." He stressed the last word.

"Now you're scaring me." She whispered and backed away from the doors.

"You have no reason to be scared. Remember what I told you." He reminded and she nodded.

She can do this.

"Shall we?." He asked and she tightened her grip around his hand.

"Let's do this."

The double doors opened to reveal the dining room and Lisa immediately noticed the new faces that sat there waiting for them.

When they arrived at the table, Lucas offered her a seat right next to him before he himself took a seat.

Unbeknownst to Lisa, since the time that they had arrived, the elders had their eyes trained on both Lisa and Lucas's hands that were intertwined which Lucas didn't bother to hide even after sensing their stares.

After everyone had settled, the maids came in, serving dishes after dishes and Lisa nearly drooled as she watched the delicacies that seemed never ending. She didn't even know what to put on her plate.

After finally deciding, she chose to go with the grilled chicken. She moved her hand to pick it with the spoon but someone beat her to it.

Lucas dished the chicken on her plate dutifully and that action alone stopped some of the council members from what they were doing as they stared at both Lucas and Lisa.

But Lucas didn't stop there. He moved to take the vegetable sauce and added it on her plate thereafter, picking up a knife and cutting through the meat, before using a fork to pick the meat and brought it to her mouth.

Even though he had done this before, at that time there was less people!. Seeing this, she shot him a glare that said 'I will kill you later'

And he returned it with a look that said 'I am all yours'

Not wanting to prolong their stares any further, she reluctantly opened her mouth and Lucas gleefully put the food in.

When the food touched her tongue, she was sure that she literally went to heaven. The chef of this food needed to be promoted to King chef!.

If there was such a thing.

She groaned as the taste melted in her mouth and it gathered even more attention to her. Even Lucas raised a brow at her reaction. He gave her another spoon and this time she took it without hesitation.

A woman at the table cleared her throat" To get to what we came here for, Lucas we overheard some whispers that you are getting closer than necessary to THE girl." Her keen red eyes stared at both of them.

Lisa who had been stuffed, signalled Lucas that she was full and he picked up the napkin to wipe her lips.

Throughout the time that he had been feeding Lisa, he hadn't taken a single bite so he picked up a glass of a dark red wine and took a sip before replying" As you can see Roxanne, the whispers were true." He smiled at the woman whose frown deepened.

"You must be joking Lucas." This time a younger woman spoke up. The woman had beautiful blonde hair of average height and a face that could take one's breath away.

From the way she spoke to Lucas, Lisa could already guess that this was one of the many women that was smitten by her guardian. Her sweet honey-like voice made her insides cringe.

Disgusting.

"Of course I am sweetheart, I just wanted to pull Roxanne's legs." Lucas flashed a charming smile at her and she blushed in return.

Lisa felt her heart pinch at the weight of Lucas's words. She knew this was inevitable. If she wanted to stay alive they needed to act like this, it was for their good. But why did it have to be this painful?.

"Oh lucas, stop it." Audrey blushed and twirled her hair with one finger in a seductive way.

Lisa forcefully tore her gaze away from them to look elsewhere. It seemed like Lucas had purposely planned to annoy her today.

She saw Theodore talking with one of the council men who looked rather young though he was incredibly handsome.

For a second, he glanced at her and a dangerous smile appeared on his face. Alarm bells immediately rang in Lisa's mind and she averted her gaze quickly. She had a very bad feeling about him.

Moving her gaze, she saw the elder woman who had first spoken, eating and she noticed two other people who hadn't contributed.

It was a man and a woman. If she were to guess, the man looked to be around his early thirties with long black hair and icy blue eyes. If she thought Ezekiel looked like Lucas's brother then she was so wrong.

This man looked totally like his elder brother.

And the other woman looked as serene as him just that she had more light in her eyes.

She also noticed that some people at the table were missing. Sebastian, Celestial and Ezekiel were not present here.

There must probably be a reason.

Meanwhile, Roxanne had been watching the girl which Lucas had been assigned to. She deduced that the girl seemed more calm than she expected.

After all, humans didn't exactly wish to be in here in hell.

And here she was, dining calmly with demons everywhere. It made her suspect what Lucas could have done to the girl. He must have told her something she wasn't meant to know for her to be this calm.

Her other suspicion was their relationship. The way he looked at her was not the way he looked at anybody else. There was a secret softness she noticed when he gazed at the girl.

She clearly remembered the way Lucas acted after his mate had died. It was a painful time for all of them that witnessed it. He had been completely shattered and he swore to destroy all witches. That was one of the reasons for the witches been banned from this side of the underworld. The vampires, witches, reaper's, dragons and demons all have their separate lands.

She knew the way of demons. They only had one mate and Lucas's mate was gone. If by any chance he was been too close to this girl, it couldn't mean she was his mate.

It meant he wanted to use her for something big. And if by any chance the girl was actually his mate.

Then she needed to be eliminated.
