CHAPTER 18

-MC Pov-

"-Kael."

"Mikael."

"Wake up~"

I gradually open my eyes and look outside the window, and it's still dark. I look beside me and Alice is smirking.

"What time is it?" I ask her.

She says while still smirking, "It's 4 in the morning."

"Then why did you wake me up?" I ask her again.

"Hmmph!" she pouts and turns her back away from me.

I then hear her giggle and I'm pretty sure I hear the Cullens giggling too. 'Is she mad at me because I pranked her?' I think to myself.

I sigh, then sit on the bed and say, "Look, I'm sorry, okay Alice. I know I went overboard with it and I promise I won't do it again."

She goes silent for a moment and then she turns to look at me and suddenly kisses me. "Apologies accepted, and I'll take your word for that." She looks me in the eyes and then hugs me.

I smile and say, "Thank you Alice, but now I'm going back to sleep." I then proceeded to sleep again on the bed while putting on the blanket. Well, it's not a bed since vampires don't sleep, but it's comfortable enough to be called a bed.

"Nooo, you can't sleep again, we have a field trip to the greenhouse today, remember?" Alice says while throwing the blanket away.

"No, I don't," I say while ignoring her, and I hear her harrumph.

"Fine," Alice says, and then she suddenly holds my hand and drags me to the dining room with her strength and speed. I widen my eyes with the sudden occasion and I hear the Cullens laughing at me.

"Here, I've made you some breakfast," Esme says while putting the dishes in front of me. I say thank you and begin eating the food.

"Aren't they going to be suspicious of me?" I ask the Cullens.

"Who?" Alice asks back.

"The students and the teachers, I mean just yesterday I got into an accident and today I'm as healthy as if nothing happened," I reply and I can see the Cullens start thinking deeply.

"Do they even care about you, Kael?" Emmett says while laughing, and of course, Rosalie punishes him immediately.

"Good point," I reply and begin remembering the students' reaction yesterday to my situation.

"Carlisle, what about the doctors? Did they say anything about me?" I ask Carlisle and the Cullens are curious too.

"Strangely, no. They accepted everything I said to them and they act like nothing happened after that." Carlisle replies with confusion, as do I and the Cullens.

'Hmm...world, is this your compensation for me because you mocked me yesterday?' I ponder to myself and just shrug it off. I don't exactly know what happened, but I'm grateful regardless.

"Well, whatever it is, we will know in the future, and we don't have to think too hard about it for now." Carlisle breaks the silence and everyone just nods. I then continue devouring the food and after that hang around a bit with them, and before 6 o'clock, I go home.'

-The Cullens Pov-

"Alright, see you guys at school," Mikael said and started flying off with his sword while holding his bike, leaving the Cullens in awe.

"Wow, I didn't know he could do that," Emmett said, while the others just nodded and waved at him before entering the house again. They sat in the living room and began discussing something.

"I-I couldn't read his mind anymore," Edward suddenly said.

"No shit, he's a super now, you freak," Emmett said, chuckling.

"You read his mind!?" Alice said angrily to Edward, but Thea and Rosalie managed to hold her back.

"I was before, but now I can't. But trust me, Alice, when I was reading his mind before, all he thought about was you," Edward said, and Alice began smiling and calming down.

"What about you, Jasper? Did you feel his emotions?" Carlisle asked Jasper.

"I could feel them before, but after he told us about him and his abilities, I can't anymore," Jasper replied, and everyone seemed confused.

"And you, Alice, did you have any visions?" Carlisle then asked Alice.

"The last time I had a vision about him was when we touched hands, but after that, I didn't have any visions anymore. But one thing's for sure, when I'm with him, everything is going to be good and fine," Alice replied, and everyone sighed in relief after hearing the last part.

"Does he know about our abilities then? So he did that on purpose," Rosalie said with a concerned tone.

"No, I don't think so. But I'm sure he knows about Edward's abilities because this idiot tried to read his mind, and I'm sure he felt that because I saw him smirking at Edward yesterday when he told us about him," Thea said, and everyone nodded in agreement, while Edward just looked annoyed.

"Edward, you promised us that you wouldn't read our minds, and now Mikael is one of us, so I hope you stop doing that to him," Carlisle said while patting Edward's back, and he just nodded.

"And what about Bella?" Alice asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure she won't stop asking you about yesterday," Rosalie said.

"The girl seems persistent. Are you sure you can handle her?" Thea said.

"I won't tell her anything, and I'll think of some excuses," Edward replied with a gloomy face.

"And where were you last night? I saw you storming outside, huh," Emmett teased Edward, elbowing him, and the others seemed confused.

"You can't be serious, Edward!" Rosalie said angrily, and everyone realized what she meant.

"Edward, are you stalking Bella?" Esme said, frowning.

"No! Of course not, I'm just... keeping her safe," Edward replied, and the others just sighed at him.

"What if anyone sees you? You're risking our safety!" Rosalie shouted at Edward.

"What about Mikael then? He's risking our safety too!" Edward said.

"Mikael is different! Sure, he's a human, but he's not an ordinary human," Alice replied.

"Alice is right, Mikael is different, and he has no neighbors besides us, so he won't be risking our safety in a sense. But Bella has neighbors, what if they see you?" Thea said while Edward maintained his stern gaze.

"You won't listen to us, will you?" Rosalie said, and Edward just nodded, and then everyone sighed at him.

"Alright, Edward, as long as you're careful. And soon, you have to tell her the truth, as I feel that Bella won't back down," Carlisle said, patting his shoulder, and Edward seemed to smile.

Esme clapped her hands and said with a smile, "Alright, it's already 6 in the morning, and you guys should prepare to go to school."

Everyone nodded and began moving to their rooms to prepare their belongings. Alice could be seen smiling the whole time, and she seemed excited as always.

-MC Pov-

I reached my home and immediately parked in front of the garage. I opened the garage to put my bike inside, but to my surprise, there was a black sedan parked beautifully inside. I took the car out of the garage to get a better look.

It was a 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom series 2. How did they even get their hands on this? This car is ahead of its time! You know what, I don't care anymore.

The car was fully black with a white and black interior. It had a starlight headliner, and of course, the Spirit Of Ecstasy. But wait, when I looked at the logo, it wasn't the Rolls-Royce logo, but the Coat Of Arms Of The United Kingdom! All in all, it looked very elegant and screamed "Gentleman."

I immediately called Robert to ask about the car, and he picked up after 5 seconds.

Me: "Morning Robert."

Robert: "Morning to you too, Master Kael. How can I help you today?"

Me: "..."

Me: "Robert, did you go a little overboard with the car?"

Robert: "Hahaha, don't worry about it, Master Kael. The Duke personally prepared that for you."

Me: "How did my uncle even get his hands on this car anyway?"

Robert: "I don't know, Master Kael. I just reported that you wanted a car to him, and after that, I have no idea."

'Not suspicious at all, huh.' I thought to myself. Did James Bond use this car on one of his missions? Perhaps The Kingsman? Or maybe it's just custom-made for the Royal family. Meh, I don't care.

Me: "Why is it the Coat of Arms insignia instead of the original Rolls-Royce logo?"

Robert: "Are you serious right now, Master Kael?"

Me: "Right...."

Me: "One last thing, how did you even get the car here and put it in my garage?"

Robert: "Well, our agents used a stealth heli-carrier so as not to disturb your sleep, Master Kael, and they professionally put it in your garage."

I could hear his smug tone from here, and I just chuckled at that. 'Not suspicious at all.' I thought to myself and shrugged it off.

Me: "Alright, Robert, thank you, and stay safe."

Robert: "As always, Master Kael."

I ended the call and sighed. I got back into the car to get used to it. It honestly smelled nice, smooth, and very futuristic. Since I had a car now, the Cullens didn't have to pick me up anymore, so I called Alice.

Me: "Hey Alice."

Alice: "Hi Kael, are you ready? We'll pick you up shortly."

Me: "You don't have to pick me up anymore. I have a car now, so please send my thanks to them for the offer."

Alice: "Seriously!? You have a car!?"

Me: "Yeah, it arrived yesterday or today, I don't know. So, do you want to-"

Before I could finish my words, Alice abruptly ended the call, and I think I know why she did that.

Yep, after roughly about 30 seconds, she arrived at my house and stood in front of my car. I could see her smiling excitedly. So, I got out of the car and greeted her.

"So, how is it?" I asked her.

"WOW~" Alice went around the car, inspecting it, so I chuckled at that.

"Alright, you enjoy yourself while I freshen up and get ready," I said while looking at her. She didn't even take her eyes off the car and then she went inside, looking at the starlight headliner. I just chuckled and went inside the house. After about 15 minutes, I was ready and headed outside the house. Alice immediately hugged me.

"So, are you ready?" I opened the passenger door for her.

"Of course!" Alice kissed me on the cheek while giggling and sat in the passenger seat.

I then sat in the driver's seat, and before we drove off, I had to coat the car with my internal energy. I didn't want it to get scratched, did I? And then I added a little illusion technique to the car to cover the Coat of Arms insignia.

"Wow, what are those red energies coating the car? They appeared for a second, then they're gone." Alice exclaimed in surprise.

"Well, that's my internal energy. We don't want the car to be damaged, right? So, I do that to protect the car, and I can do that with different objects too." I explained to her, and she looked surprised, so I chuckled
