Chapter 1: The Cosmic Wipeout

California had always been home to Chad Anderson, a laid-back surfer dude who believed in living life to the fullest. The golden sands of Huntington Beach were his second home, and the ocean waves were his playground. College was just another wave to ride, another adventure in the grand sea of life.

On a crisp spring morning, Chad was gearing up for another surf session. The sky was clear, the sun was shining, and the waves were calling. He had just finished waxing his board when his phone buzzed.

"Yo, Chad, party at Brad's tonight! You in?" texted his buddy, Zack.

"Totally, dude!" Chad replied, grinning. Life was good. But fate had a way of changing things when you least expected it.

As Chad paddled out, the ocean seemed to swell larger than usual. He rode a massive wave, feeling the rush of adrenaline. Suddenly, the sky darkened. Thunder rumbled ominously, and a bolt of lightning struck the water near him. Before he could react, a second bolt struck him directly.

Chad's world went black.

When Chad opened his eyes, he found himself floating in a vast, starry void. There was no ocean, no beach, just endless space. Panic started to set in until a booming voice echoed around him.

"Ah, shoot. Not again."

Chad spun around, trying to find the source of the voice. Before him appeared a being of immense light, radiating power and regret.

"Who... what are you?" Chad stammered.

"I am Themis, the God of Balance. And, uh, I kind of... accidentally killed you."

Chad blinked. "Dude, that's harsh."

Themis sighed, shaking their head. "Tell me about it. Look, I can't undo your death, but I can offer you something in return: reincarnation, with four wishes."

Chad's eyes widened. This was insane. But also kind of awesome. "So, like, anything I want?"

"Within reason, yes. You can choose the world you wish to reincarnate into and three other wishes."

Chad thought for a moment. "Alright, dude. Here's what I want. First, I want to reincarnate into the world of Twilight."

Themis raised an eyebrow. "Twilight? The vampire series?"

"Yeah, man. Those vampires are rad, and the werewolves are pretty gnarly too."

"Very well. Your second wish?"

Chad grinned. "I want the combined intellect of Tony Stark and Hiro Hamada."

Themis nodded. "Interesting choice. Your third wish?"

"I wish for peak human potential," Chad said confidently. "Like, physical, mental, the whole package."

"Granted. And your final wish?"

"I want the powers of a hellhound and the ability to shapeshift into one, like a werewolf but cooler."

Themis smiled. "Done. You're all set, Chad. Prepare for your new life."

Before Chad could say another word, the void dissolved around him. His consciousness slipped away once more, and he felt himself being pulled into a new world.
