Chapter 38: The Traveler Vs. All for One Puppet

~Third POV~

As he said that he quickly went in to rush Jason as Jason used his martial art knowledge to combat Nine's in combat with a few quirks using the <Compress> or <Decay> quirk to get an instant win.

Thanks to AFO controlling Nine's body that contained the quirks of <Energy Absorption> and <Adapt> Jason can't hurt him by normal means anymore or else Nine's will just simply absorb the energy being hit to him. With <Adapt> any hope of simply overcharging him with energy was also out the window if Nine's can simply just adapt to the new power inside his body.

While going towards Nine's body with one hand having the two quirks Jason had to end the fight this way or else, he would be placed in a pointless fight that AFO truly prepared for was against him, 'Shit! AFO truly did his research on me on what quirks I wanted from this world. That fucking <Energy Absorption> and <Adapt> is screwing me over right now!'

*Thud*

Just as Jason was about to make contact with Nine's body in the brief second Jason saw that his arms were caught by Nine's hand as he spoke out scolding him, "Truly did you think I wouldn't have noticed that you used <Decay> on Wolfram's heart? Do you truly think I don't see what you do if you touch me? Then you must be more of a fool than I thought."

Feeling that his body was caught red-handed Jason started to breathe in the vitality thanks to his <Stealing Vitality> to steal the vitality from his opponent who has much more than Jason does to weaken him.

Noticing the orange aura siphoning off Nine's body he felt that his stamina was being drained but only a little thanks to his <Energy Saver> quirk only giving him little bits of his enormous stamina.

*Thud*

It was at that moment Nine's grabbed Jason by the arm avoiding his hands as AFO spoke to him in a cold tone matching his expression, "Fighting against me one on one might seem fine in paper with those unique quirks like <Decay>, <Compress>, and <New Order>. But if your opponent is more physically stronger and faster than you… it doesn't matter if you can touch them if you can't catch them first."

*SWOOSH**SWOOSH*

*BANG**THUD**SMACK**CRASH*

Then what happened next was Nine's throwing Iron Man around like a toy as he continued to smack him down on the ground while using his <Endurance> + <x10 Multiplier> + <Kinetic Booster> to further increase his power.

Jason was left at the mercy of AFO controlling Nines like that scene of Hulk smashing Loki into the ground. Jason for his part felt that his body was getting shaken up to the bones as he felt each hit and wrist in pain being manhandled like a toy.

Nine having enough threw hard as he was backing off from the attack, he then uses his <Energy Absorption> as he got some distance from Jason he began to attack. Raising his hands as he used the stored-up energy from <Energy Absorption> as he used that energy to release the rapid-fire of <Blast>.

But each ball of light was now the size of cars coming at Jason at rapid speeds thanks to the combination of <Kinetic Booster> + <x10 Multiplier> + <Energy Absorption> + <Endurance> + <Heavy Payload>. Each of these quirks helped boost the destructive force as each blast attack launched at Jason.

Eyes widening underneath the iron mask Jason quickly fled to the sky as he was thrown to avoid the rapid ball of energy coming after him. Using the quick burst of speed causing a sand cloud to form he used it as a distraction to avoid getting hit.

But that was pointless as Nine's had the <Scanning> quirk to see where Jason was going thanks to his heat signature. But that was when he grew curious seeing multiple heat signatures spawning out of nowhere, "Hmm… that is certainly interesting to multiple himself to get a better chance of defeating me. Although pointless compared to the wide power gap but that cloning quirk of his would be a nice collection to have."

AFO soon saw a whole army worth of Iron Man in the sky as he was unamused by the number of them. Even though they all had the <Reflect> quirk AFO controlling Nine's using his <Weather Manipulation> trying to destroy them all in one go.

*BZZT**BZZ*

*SWOOSH*

Soon numerous lightning strikes and tornadoes appeared in the dessert area causing the main destruction all over the area. Each of those natural disasters managed to cut the number of clones as each of them was physically weak that they can disperse but their attacking power remains the same.

But even so, all the clones didn't bother to attack as Nine's body was more than capable of taking the punishment and giving it back more over than they can prepare for. At the rate, Jason is going his going to lose if the fight ends up like this.

Having himself backed into a corner like this makes him truly realize how outclassed he was to Nine's being controlled, 'Fuck Nine's here is kicking my ass badly. I thought having the talent of the combatants of Danganronpa would help me out. However, reality has taught me that even having all the knowledge of the best training I could have doesn't mean much in anime Shonen worlds like MHA. Especially in superpowered fights like this.'

However, even knowing how outclassed he was in the fight there was no way he didn't want to lose and submit to him. So, Jason had to get creative of this fight as he thought to himself in a serious tone, 'But then again AFO may have the experience and wisdom from his lifetime but, I on the other hand can get creative. I just need an opening to get the use of my quirks in action. Time to steal Naruto style win.'

Having enough of the fight he went straight in to go for the finishing kill as he dashed forward as so did the clones.

While the clones all rushed towards the AFO puppet they all used the <Stealing Vitality> quirk to quickly depower Nine's ridiculous strength in power. AFO controlling Nine's body had his eyes widen as the multiplied clones were draining him fast, '<Stealing Vitality>! Along with his clones could get Nine's body overdone soon. Better to destroy them all in one go.'

AFO controlling Nine's seeing that the situation has changed again he began to charge up his <Blast> quirk to the max with all the combination of quirks he has then…

*PEW**PEW**PEW**PEW**PEW**PEW*

*BOOOOOM*

AFO controlling Nines launched a giant blast of light that was comparable to a mountain as some of the clones got caught in the blast as they all got destroyed. Some of the other clones used <Warp Gate> managed to avoid the attack as did the original as he placed himself someplace to get the element of surprise.

Nine's merely smirking at the remaining clones mocked Jason how his strategy he was using as he instructs in the process being that arrogant, "Now then boy are you done playing around. You have to know that no matter how many clones you make it will never come close to my power in this body. The power gap and quirks we use are certainly too much for the likes of you to close. Simply give up and die."

Jason on his part knew that coming close to AFO has in that body of quirks was making it very difficult to win or come close unless AFO allows it. So, they all rushed forward to simply end the fight as soon as possible.

*SWOOSH**SWOOSH**SWOOSH*

As all the clones rushed forward to Nine's body AFO controlled it to begin launching non-stop rapid-fire of Blast light balls at the clones with them enhanced enough to destroy one of them with ease.

*Pew**Pew**Pew*

*Boom**Boom**Boom*

As the clones were getting destroyed by the numbers, they also began to clone themselves to have the numerical advantage as AFO was getting annoyed but one of the clones managed to get close enough to almost touch him but…

*Swoosh*

*Crunch*

That was close as the clone before Nine's body used <Overclock> to get a faster reaction time as his fist carved the clone head as a result got crushed quickly by Nine's superior strength as he spoke out, "Really? Did you expect me to fall for that classic trick in the book? I have already made counters in this body I prepared for you. Better be prepared to face the consequences for crossing my rat."

*SWOOSH**SWOOSH**SWOOSH*

*CRUNCH**CRUNCH**CRUNCH*

As Nine's said that more clones began to try to use <New Order>, <Decay>, and <Compress> to get the chance to cripple AFO controlling Nine's body. But the speed and strength of his were simply too much for the clones to handle as they were effortlessly taken down with his quirks enhancing his physical strength and speed not letting them have the chance to get near him.

While all the clones died all the information, they possessed were all transferred to the original as he was hiding waiting for his chance slowly as AFO was preoccupied with clone distraction.

Observing the scene how outpowered he was the original thought to himself in a serious tone as he witnessed how anime-style fighting was going to be like in the future against an antagonist or main protagonist soon, 'Damn so this what would've happened if Nine's wanted to end the fight. I can guess that the only reason why AFO wanted for me to fight was to show his dominance towards me with fear stopping me from thinking clearly. I have to say he certainly earns his title of being the villain because it worked on me…'

As his fears were getting ahold of him, he tried to calm himself down that was when he heard Alter Ego speak through him in his thoughts with the answer he wanted to hear, 'Sir, I apologize for the wait, but I have finally got the clues needed for the restraints. These wires from the I-Island research should be strong enough to restrain All Might now the time for a counterattack.'

Shaking his head, a bit Jason was calming himself down and began thinking normally again as he thanked Alter Ego for the update, 'Sigh… thanks for that Alter Ego I needed that restraint. But my first time experiencing an anime-style fight like this was certainly not something I wanted. It's just that the quirks that AFO gave him are too strong for me to do anything about it. It's time to stop fighting and go for the instant win.'

While AFO controlling Nines, their body was getting irritated by the clones coming over and over again he was about to have enough of that he was distracted from what was beneath him.

*Boom*

Just as AFO puppet noticed the explosion he quickly aimed his arm trying to kill a clone or original through the head, "As if I would fall for that trick boy! You have much to learn before -"

*Swoosh*

While his eyes were surprised at this he quickly motioned his hand with the intent to kill or subdue at the ready but that was when wires were coming out from the Iron Man armors clones restraining AFO as the attack was no longer towards the original direction as it was caught on hold.

One of the clones above restraining him spoke out in a determined tone towards the villain hoping to catch him off guard, "Of course I knew something like this won't work, but it certainly provided the time needed to get your eyes elsewhere."

*Pop*

Suddenly an explosion from below him caused another sand cloud as he felt someone touch his feet then that was when he heard a popping sound as Nine's legs were compressed leaving AFO the body of a legless puppet.

As the ball of energy was released towards the sky AFO controlling Nine's body began to struggle free leaving Jason the chance to touch him on the shoulder as he spoke quickly cutting off AFO control on Nine's, "Shigiraki shall not have the power to control this body through <All for One>!"

Once those words were spoken the light in Nine's eyes began to show signs of life…

Hearing this suddenly AFO lost connection with Nine's body as he felt the connection of the two as AFO was gritting his teeth as he realized he was had, "That some of a bitch of that rat canceled my connection!!! NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!!!"

His anger getting the better of him he tried to calm down as he smashed his table into pieces as he spoke to himself with clear rage words spoken out, "That rat… I'll make sure we meet again… for now though I'll have to prepare for when that rat decides to intervene my world again. I'll just plan more for the next time…"

AFO paused for a moment before he nods his head as if settling on an idea as he spoke to himself in an odd tone, "Well… I could use more practice taking over someone else body in the future if what happened here has taught me. And Nine's provided me with some amusement if someone doesn't know my true identity, as well as they, could just blame them with multiple quirks…"

Taking a step back as he sat down AFO then began to speak in a mild tone as if he just decided on what his next course should be, "Yes… I could use some practice taking over someone's body. But it will have to be someone strong as well as unnoticed by society. Plus, it would allow me to keep an eye on Tomura in the future…"

AFO then grins at the idea as he began to chuckle to himself as he felt enlightened of the encounter with Iron Man, "Hahaha… yes this whole experience has left me rather excited for the future. Even though that person knows what happens next, I'll just do as I have done before. Out plan and be unpredictable the next we meet won't be him outwitting me but by pure power alone."

Taking his defeat in stride he has gained more knowledge from the encounter as AFO calmed down as he began to formulate plans for the next encounter for the next time.
