Words of wisdom - Part 1

"Samantha," A soft angelic voice fell on her ears, pulling her out of her darkness. But Samantha was too deep into it to come out of it. Her eyelids refused to open and see where she was. She could sense the darkness around her. It was dark everywhere, inside her mind as well as outside. Yet, she felt free, light, peaceful even. All her worries and her troubles had vanished, and her mind was tranquil, for she was home, her home where she belonged.

"Samantha, dear. Wake up." She felt a gentle caress on her forehead before the soft hand cupped her cheek, and unknowingly a tear escaped her eyes, sensing the familiarity of the touch. How much she had missed this warmth? How much she had missed the love and care she was receiving after years of separation, she wondered.

"Oh, dear." The familiar voice sighed and wiped her tears. Samantha had never felt this comfortable before, and she could not help but cry harder even though she was in a daze and half-conscious.
