The Ultimate Weapon against the Hulk

(⌒▽⌒)☞☜(⌒▽⌒)

===================

The Hulk's green oily skin, upon closer inspection, would reveal faint blue light spots, but that was about it.

From an energy perspective, the Tesseract was undoubtedly superior to the Hulk. However, one was a living, breathing source of energy in humanoid form, while the other was just a small fraction extracted and converted sixty years ago. While the quality between the two might be comparable, the difference in quantity was too great.

Feeling the pain from the assault, the Hulk leaped a kilometer high, grabbed the helicopter's door, and gave it a shake. Using his own weight, he forcefully pulled the aircraft to the ground, resulting in an explosion that claimed the lives of five soldiers.

"Sir, Team A2 has been completely hit," a lieutenant reported to the Secretary of Defense inside the Pentagon.

"Send out the tanks, notify the Navy, prepare the electromagnetic railguns, and contact SHIELD and Colonel Stryker..."

The pressure on the Secretary of Defense was massive at this point. He even felt that throwing Ross, a general, under the bus wouldn't be enough to absolve him of guilt. If things were to escalate further, even he, as the Secretary, would be held accountable.

More than ten emotion controllers had been made, but unfortunately, the Hulk had become smarter this time. As soon as he saw anything colorful, he turned away and either smacked it or used sonic waves to destroy the lights.

The military was at a loss and couldn't let the Hulk escape. They could only grit their teeth and pursue, while simultaneously calling for reinforcements.

Daisy, who had already returned home to rest, was once again summoned by Nick Fury. This time, it was an urgent call, and with it being the middle of the night, many agents were not at headquarters. When Daisy entered the room, only Nick Fury and Black Widow were present.

"Take a look at this, footage from five minutes ago," Nick Fury handed her a tablet, and Daisy quickly began to watch.

It was all live footage captured by surveillance cameras, unedited and unprocessed, and sent directly to them. The grim situation indicated that the esteemed gentlemen at the Department of Defense were struggling to hold on.

Daisy was momentarily speechless. Honestly, she hadn't expected the Hulk to lose control to this extent. Normally, tranquilizers should have been effective.

"I'm not sure what's going on either. I'm telling you in advance that I can't beat him," she admitted upfront, refusing to engage in any stupidity like confronting the Hulk head-on.

"Do you think Professor Xavier could control him?" The old bald man owed Fury a favor. If he asked, she would come to help, but whether it would be successful, Nick Fury wasn't sure. He wanted to hear Daisy's opinion.

"I think it's unlikely. It would be difficult for the professor to control a monster that transforms when he's stimulated using psychic powers..." She didn't have high hopes for this method at all. The Hulk, in his enraged state, was resistant in all aspects, making mind control completely ineffective.

"Well, do you have any ideas?" In fact, Nick Fury was still somewhat hopeful for her wild and whimsical ideas.

This time, Daisy took a bit longer to think.

Who has defeated the Hulk before? Not many, to say the least.

The likes of Silver Surfer, Captain Marvel, Captain Universe, and Thor were not even in the consideration set.

Daisy racked her brains, trying to find a solution that was cheap, safe, and not too risky.

Believe it or not, she came up with something.

This solution was closely related to SHIELD. After long-term efforts to capture the Hulk, despite lacking a scientific basis, the agents at SHIELD had developed a method.

In a special edition of the comic "The Incredible Hulk," they had developed the ultimate biological weapon against the Hulk!

A large box of newborn puppies...

The Hulk loved these fluffy, silly-looking little things, and their innocent presence relaxed him and naturally triggered his transformation.

Of course, at this point, he couldn't be provoked, so they could only rely on cute little animals to melt his heart!

She explained her idea, reframing it not as their own method, but as an analysis from psychology and behavior studies. Essentially, the stronger a person was, the gentler their inner nature.

Nick Fury's lone eye glazed over, and even the usually composed Black Widow looked a bit dizzy, her peachy eyes fixed on Daisy as if she were looking at an alien.

"Are you sure this will work?" Nick Fury doubted if he had misheard. Daisy had to confirm again. According to her, it was almost certain to work. Even if it failed, they would only lose a few puppies, which SHIELD could afford.

Nick Fury was decisive. He chose to trust Daisy's judgment and took the two of them to a nearby pet store, not far from their headquarters.

Flashing their FBI credentials, they informed the store owner that all the pets were being requisitioned. If the owner had any questions, they could contact the FBI headquarters.

Following Daisy's aesthetic preferences, Black Widow joined in halfway. Together, they selected seven puppies: two cocker spaniels, three small-legged corgis, and two serious-looking but actually stupid Alaskan Malamutes.

The seven puppies were placed in a large cage, and thus, the ultimate weapon against the Hulk was assembled!

The next question was, who would carry the cage?

Of course, Fury wouldn't do it. Carrying several fierce bulldogs might have accentuated his badass aura, but several puppies over a year old?

He was dressed in black leather, wearing an eyepatch, exuding an air of danger. What would people think if he were seen carrying a cage full of puppies? He was the director of SHIELD; he couldn't afford to lose face!

He was afraid the Hulk would laugh himself to death.

Clearing his throat, he said, "Since this idea was yours, Daisy..."

Daisy, who aspired to be the director, wasn't going to fall for that. Keeping a lion would have been seen as having a regal demeanor, but a few puppies? No way, absolutely not.

She shook her head vigorously. "In case the plan fails, I'll have to fight as the last line of defense."

Refusing to take the cage, she seemed to have a reasonable point, in Fury's opinion. He turned to the other side. "Natasha?"

Black Widow's face also looked a bit unnatural as she waved her hand. "I have to fly the plane... How about you carry it yourself?"

The three gave excuses and no one took the cage.

With everyone refusing to take the cage, they couldn't let it go on like this, or Washington would be destroyed by the Hulk.

"Forget it, I'll call Coulson." Regardless of whether the plan succeeded, it didn't fit SHIELD's iron-blooded style. To avoid embarrassment, Nick Fury had to rely on someone he trusted.

"Yeah, Coulson is very compassionate and suitable for this job," Black Widow quickly agreed, signaling her approval of Fury's wise leadership.

Daisy also chimed in, "I heard Coulson can communicate with those cute penguins in Antarctica. He's a real talent!"

With all three in agreement, when they flew to New York to pick up Coulson, it became a collective decision.

As it turned out, Coulson was more heroic than the others, with fewer calculations and less concern for his own image. When he heard that the Pentagon was in dire straits, he bravely accepted the task.

His dignified and resolute demeanor, bravely shouldering the burden, made those who didn't know anything think that the cage in his hands contained a bomb.
