Sengoku, himself, was caught off guard by such a move. He couldn't fathom the motivation behind his future self's decision to act in such a way.

[Monkey D. Garp: "Impossible! This is not possible in any way! Why is Ace being put to death! This simply cannot be true!"] 

After all, Ace was brought up by Garp himself, but he has decided that Ace should be put to death in the future. This caused him to be momentarily perplexed, and he simply couldn't believe what he was seeing.

[Tsuru: "Is this video really real?"]

[Sengoku the Buddha: "Although I don't believe that this video actually exists in the future, the power shown by that thing called the system makes me have to believe it!"] 

It has the power to render everyone in the globe still and stop them from moving. An achievement of this magnitude is more than enough to restore Sengoku's faith in everything!!!
