"There are twelve Gods and Goddesses, including Aaura, Eaura, and Haaura. Each of these figures holds unrivaled power in their elements," Druchess speaks to Hubrid as he takes a seat next to him.
"You mean-?"
Druchess responds in surprise as his eyes widen, "So you have been studying!? I thought you were just faking it," he says with a chuckle.
He continues, "Hauura, Eaura, and Aaura are the strongest of the 12; Hauura being the strongest. The other 9 have the power supreme power over their controlled element; however, many of them don't reveal their names; do you know any of their names and elements?"
"I know some of them but, why do some have no names?"
"Those without names decided to become one with their element, such as this fire." Druchess snaps his fingers as sparks fly from his hand as a flame manifests over it, projecting a shadow of his hand on the wall.
"Fire and shadows, this is an instance of the gods taking on the form of their elements. With each and every spark that has the potential to light into a fire, the god of fire resides inside of it."
"You mean that he's the fire on your palm?" Hubrid speaks as he marbles are the fire in front of him.
"No, IT is the fire; there is he or she; it simply is. It is similar to the shadows it produces. Inside of every light is a shadow but, the same cannot logic cannot be applied to the dark. Look at the shadow on the wall and look at my magic and tell me if you can find a difference between the two."
Hubrid answers with confusion as he stares at Druchess, "... I can't see the fire on the wall, only the light it produces?"
"That is a great observation, however; don't look at it physically; look deeper into the light and the darkness that accompanies it."
Hubrid stares at the wall the shadow rests upon; he reaches out to try to touch the shadow; his hand moves towards the shadows; the shadow paves a path. He begins to dart his hands at the shadows plastered on the surface of the cave; grasping towards them as they continue to dodge his hands as if they were dancing across the wall.
"Why can't I touch it?" He continued to paw at the sharp surface of the cave as the shadows continued to avoid him. He slaps his hand against a sharp rock in an attempt to catch it off guard and spills blood; it leaks down his hand; only then was Hubrid able to touch the shadows as he smeared his blood across the walls.
"Why can't you touch it? Ask yourself this; have you ever seen a shadow accept the light? Well, if you have, you're lying. Darkness will do anything it can to stop itself from decaying. Light, on the other hand, snuffs out the darkness. It is the natural enemy to any and all dark things. Long ago, darkness and light fought against one another; the dark wished to erase the light wished for the same of the dark. Realizing that one could not exist with one another, they decided to swear an oath. To never come into contact with one another again. The God of Light and The God of The Dark decided to dwell inside of their elements so that the two could make sure that their agreement was never violated by one another."
"Why could I touch the shadow after I bled on it?" He says as he looks down at his bleeding palm, "And why would both of the gods hate each other so much?"
Druchess dismisses the injured hubrid and continues on, "I'll teach you that another day; today you'll be learning of the other gods..."
"Next in line would Earth and Water, created by Eaura and Aaura, they kept their names plus their righteous thrones in the heavens, unlike the dark and light; these two harmonized with one another to create something greater than themselves. Together the both of them created life on the planet as we know it. Along with the oceans, plants, and animals."
"So they made us? Why would they make people like me different from people like you who were born with magic?"
"Don't assume such things; I was not born with the magic I wield... The third goddess Hauura had the same question. She embodied all magic and wished to share her abilities with all. However, as I've told you before, Eaura and Aaura disagreed with her ideals. They thought that humans should have a hierarchy."
"Why?" Hubrid exclaims in exasperation as his blood leaks to the ground.
"Everyone likes to feel powerful; to do that, they take power from others. It doesn't matter how weak you are if everyone is weaker, isn't that right? They made people so that we'd bask them in glory so that we'd pray to them for power, the same power they denied to you."
Hubrid sits in silence as Druchess finally dims the fire he'd been conjuring.
"So what are we to them?"
"We're nothing but affirmations to them; a reminder that they are righteous and we are not. Every good action we commit belongs to them, not us."
"So it doesn't matter what we do?" Hubrid asks as he begins to mope.
"On the contrary; doesn't that unfairness spark a fire in your soul!?" druchess reignites the fire as it nearly reaches the ceiling of the cove and brings fire to Druchess's beard,"
Druchess screams and heads for the pot of water he kept in the corner of the room to quell the fire.
"Hubrid, help!" Druchess says as he knocks over the pot of water accidentally as he rushed to the ground to pick up its remnants of the liquid that remained as it began pouring into the cracks of the cave.
Hubrid begins to panic, his hands gleamed with a light blue glitter as the water on the ground began to float in the air; droplets of the water rose and form into a giant ball. As quickly as it manifested, it broke apart, slamming onto Druchess.
'So that old fool was actually right for once?...' Druchess thought to himself as the water continued to drip from his soggy clothing.
"Ahem, thank you, Hubrid," Druchess said as Hubrid's hands continued to glow with the same light bluish hue.
"Any-whoo, let me continue... I've told you five so far, you'd best remember them. As for the other 7, well, they are the things that surround us every day. I'm feeling a bit weary after that incident of mine so, I'll tell you of one more, then we'll continue tomorrow."
"Who is it? What element do they use?"
"They don't use the elements Hubrid, they are the elements. I've told you about this Goddess before but, I've yet to tell you why she is so important. She is the benefactor for all magic there is and ever will be. If she were to disappear one day; Arupio would fall from the sky. All magic in this world would cease to be."
"Who?" Hubrid asks desperately as the blood in his hands begins to drip with more viscosity.
"Haaura," Druchess says as Hubrid looks at him in disappointment.
"Oh, I thought it'd be someone new..."
"Since you've grown a little smarter, I'll tell you something new about her. Do you know why she wields all magic, or why she was sealed away by her sisters? Truth is, it wasn't as simple as I made it out to be. They sealed her away because she thought of an innovative way to use and distribute magic. She created a way for people to grow and improve their magic through cultivation, a way to reach godhood."
"A way to reach godhood?"
"She created a way for people to know their true potential... would you like to see it?"
