THE WOLF SERUM

Marie and Trevor, childhood friends, who work in the Dalamos laboratory, obtain a fuel to power their time machine. The fuel is made from the life serum of a rare kind of wolf called the hiona wolf. During a ceremony to celebrate the achievement of the laboratory, Marie encounters Six in the female changing room and freaks out. Six calms her and tells her that he's from the future. He goes on to tell her that he's a werewolf, and using the life serum of the hiona wolf to power the time machine has caused the descendants of the hiona wolf to hunt humans in the future, turning most of them to werewolves. Marie involves Trevor in this, and together with Six and three of his friends from the future also, they embark on a journey to the future to save humanity from the disaster.

VOIDS AND CHANNELS

She wanted to throw in the next question when they were interrupted by Jona's arrival. Trevor heaved a sigh of relief.

"You were pretty fast, Jona," Launa said to her, then she took a warm glance at Trevor and left to meet Jona.

"It's a bit hot in here," Jona said, holding the tube she trapped the aura in. The aura shoots through the air in a gaseous form, but was a liquid in an enclosure, like the tube Jona was holding. On the other hand was a roll of brown paper.

The rest scurried around her to see what she got. She held it before them.

"This is something you need to guard dearly. You should put it on when you're a bit close to the aura of the hiona wolf," she said.

"And how can we tell we're close to the wolf?" Expresso asked.

"You'd know when you get close," Jona said, handing the tube over to Launa.

"And I guess you know the location of the hiona wolf," Kahil said.

"I do," she said, unrolling the paper she had. She sampled it before them and they saw it was a map. It had some of danger skulls on certain points.

"This wouldn't be an easy one," Fern said.

"Nothing is easy," Kahil said.

"I wonder how she got this far," Marie said.

"Well, she migrates alot in her drooling state, looking for food far away, so that's how she got this far," Jona said.

"And where's this place?" Marie asked.

"Somewhere around Vernin falls," Jona said.

"Haven't heard of such place before, where is it located?" Fern asked.

"Just some miles from here," Jona said.

"I think we need to go back to the dwarves for a portal to this place," Expresso said. "it's just seems too far."

"The portal or the dwarves isn't precise, cause they haven't mastered it well. Somewhere as far as this, a portal from them could land you in a dangerous place, so don't go there," Jona said.

"So how do we go?" Trevor asked.

"That's no ordinary place, you don't go there by feet or by any other means of transportation, you go there with another kind of aura from the Founou plant," Jona said.

"Oh no, so we're going to go get another goo?" Itsuki said.

"You don't need to, I already got it prepared in my black room. I prepared it when I planned on paying the hiona wolf a visit."

Everyone sighed in relief.

"I would apply this one on you in your sleep, not now," Jona said.

"Why in our sleep?" Expresso said.

"You need a relaxed mind for it to work. The aura, when worn, creates channels in space that'd lead you there," Jona said.

"This sounds really cool, trying out another form of teleportation that doesn't involve machines," Itsuki said.

"Oh, well. I'm only scared of things that got no explanation," Expresso said.

"I see it's evening already, so it's almost time to close our eyes," Launa said.

"You'd all sleep together right here, on the floor, and when you wake up you see different ethereal channels opening before you," Jona said.

"Can't wait for that," Itsuki said.

"By what time do we sleep?" Six asked.

"Late into the night, but you must be really sleepy. So spend the time interacting within yourselves, while I go back in," Jona said and left them.

They had a fun time between each other, and when it got really dark they all laid on the mat kept for them in the middle of the living room, and in a short time they dosed off.

They woke up the next morning to a blank background, and in front of them was a spinning, watery whorl. They found the place both fascinating and creepy. They looked around, asking questions, until they heard Jona's voice.

"You stand in a void now, and from here you enter various teleporting channels to get to where the hiona wolf is."

"Where are you speaking from, Jona?" Itsuki asked.

"You're actually standing in my living room, but your eyes see a different environment. Now proceed with no more questions."

They all looked forward and entered the whorl.

When they entered the whorl, a new kind of void opened before them. In here was colorful, like it was made of rainbows. At this point they began to love the journey. They saw the whorl before them, like a spinning rainbow.

They got into it and entered a blue void, it was cold in there, but they found it cool. They traversed about six portals to find themselves in a woods made of mostly pine trees.

"This doesn't look like the Vernin falls," Trevor said, looking around.

"What should it look like?" Launa asked.

"The name should tell you, falls, meaning rushes of white waters from a rock," Expresso said.

"Well, maybe, this could still be a traversing channel," Launa said.

"But we don't see any portal here," Trevor said.

"Maybe this is a point where we need to find a portal, cause this as you have said, this isn't what Vernin falls should look like," Launa said.

"I wasn't certain about that though," Trevor said.

"Let's just find our way around here," Kahil said and began to walk.

They walked from tree to tree, looking for a hint of a portal, but they couldn't find any. The next plan was to find a way out of the woods.

It was very difficult finding their way out, because there were no land marks in the woods, everything just looked the same, and it got wearing and frustrating to them.

"What the heck is this place?" Itsuki said.

"Jona is just good at giving limited information about places," Trevor said.

"I think we should visit the map," Six said, pulling it out of his pocket.

They all looked into the map but saw that all the figures have disappeared. They were clenched in surprise. Six turned to the other side of the paper, but it was blank.

"Nonsense!" Six angrily threw the paper to the ground.

When the paper landed on the ground a beam of light from above, between the branches of the trees, shone on the paper, and some glittering figures appeared on it.
