Chapter 17: A Long Conversation Between Us!

"Emm... can I believe your word?" Delilah takes a look at Dylan's eyes. She was actually happy to hear the confession from him but she still curious about him.

"You still doubt my feeling towards you? I mean, I truly love you... my feelings toward you have been in my heart for a long time. It already has from the start we met, it just only me that can't admit it before. I was too selfish before. Right now, I don't want to leave you anymore."

"I'm not doubting you, but... I just scared that you will leave me again like before."

"Yeah, I know. But this time, I know what I want. I will not let my precious person get away from me anymore. I will face whatever happens with you." He touches her cheek gently.

''The precious one only?'' She said to him slowly

''And...also my flowers of carnations.''

''I remember it! The flower...'' Delilah suddenly remembers the flower inside her bag before.

''Yes, I have put it inside. You still didn't know about it?''

''No...I mean, I saw the flower. I can feel that you the one who put it inside, but I do not remember the meaning of the flower.'' Delilah made her smile.

''So, that means you still didn't know the meaning?''

She nodding her head and waiting for him to say the meaning to her.

''Actually, the dark red flower of carnations means for the variations express sincere love and affection to someone.''

''Oh! I get it! I remember when your mum told me about that meaning for each of the colors of flowers.''

''So, you liar to me you don't know about it?''

''No...no...I just pretended!'' Delilah then laughed after said it to him.

''Huh?'' Dylan just shook his head and smile at her.

He just staring at Delilah for a second. Delilah noticed that and feeling shy.

"Why are you staring at me? Anything wrong?" She asks him.

"Nope! I'm just missing you and miss to watched you laughed happily. " He said to her and rub her hair gently.

Delilah feeling shy and she does not even dare to look into his eyes.

They are silent for a while. Actually, at that time, Delilah has too many questions to ask Dylan but she didn't know how to start it.

"It's okay, you can ask me anything." Dylan suddenly says it to her. She gets a little surprised to hear that. Oh yeah! She forgets that Dylan can read her mind.

"Oh... err... " Delilah still be careful her words before want to ask about his family.

''May I know why you didn't tell me earlier about your family and why you didn't want to take any power? Why you just choose to be half-human than being fully a wolf?''

''I thought you only have one question for me?'' Dylan teases her.

''Err...if you don't want to answer it, it's okay. I didn't force you. I understand.'' She gives a sincere smile to him. She knows Dylan is a difficult person to share his own problem or his stories of life.

''No, it's okay Leah. I will tell you.'' He takes a deep breath before telling her the stories. ''Actually...in fact, after we parted while we were a child before, I and my family move to another place because my family has to expand their own heirs and of course for our people. As you know, my father was a human before he met my mother. They really struggle with their life. The day I leave you before was when I heard my parents really difficult to make a decision by themselves.''

''Whats decision?'' Delilah asks with curiosity.

''My mother has a strong power as she was a wolf but my father only just a human without any power and neither even a wolf. So, of course, my mother is taken care of by my father if any enemy attacked them before. But, luckily my father was not an ordinary person. He actually has an extraordinary power with him. He really amazing person that I ever know.''

''So, what power that your father has?? Is that you also have the same power you received from your father?''

''Well, let say like that. He can see the other person's future and so am I. The other thing he can do was control someone's power with his mind.''

''What?? So that means you also can control someone's power?? I mean how you control it?''

''I still didn't know how to do it. I never tried it before. Besides that, I also didn't take any ritual before to take any power.''

''If your parents before have that strong power, how come they can die? And also killed by Alaska?''

''As we can see, Alaska is a greedy wolf. He knows about my father's power and also my mother's power. He makes a trap on them and killed them when they not vigilant. I only know by all of this from Rebecca. She tells me what actually happens for a long time.''

''That means after we parted before...you just know your parents died?''

Dylan nodding his head slowly. He feels sad to remember all of his parent's stories.

''Dy...I'm really sorry because I didn't with you before when you have a really hard time.'' She pulls Dylan's hand slowly to her.

''No, it's okay. Whatever happened before was fate. After all we still a child and we didn't know what step we must do. But, as I know, your parents really a lot of great help to my family before. My family and your family actually have connected before. They had a good friendship and also with my foster mother, Rebecca.''

''I think...I'm the only one who didn't understand this thing before. I always think that my parents always keep hiding me about all of this until I have grown up.''

''Hey... it's okay dear...you still a little young from me before so that's why you didn't understand all of this.'' He rubbing her hair gently.

''Yeah. I think so. Actually...I suddenly feel embarrassed to remember how I cry when you leave me before. I can't believe why I do something like that.''

''Well, we can say that you fell in love with me when we still in childhood?'' He laughed a little while teasing her. She just makes a sharp glare at him.

''No! That time...I just thought that...I...I don't have a friend to play with!''

''Oh really? I remember that someone before always follows me wherever I go to.''

''That's not me!'' She wants to stand up and move from there as she feels shy but her body still in pain. '' Ah!'' She screamed a little.

''Leah! Are you okay? Where you want to go? You still in pain.'' Dylan touched her body slowly.

''Can you stop remember our memories in our childhood so that I can sit with you here properly without any embarrassment?''

Dylan suddenly laughed after hearing that. ''Okay...okay. I will not say anything or teasing you. Come closer here sit.'' He pulls her closer towards him.

''After hearing all of your stories, I don't think I also can be like your mother that protect your father before to protect you. My power was all gone. I feel that I will become useless to you and also to my family...and also to all of the other people. I don't think I can protect the other wolves here.'' She suddenly thinking about her power was taken by Alaska.

''Leah...don't worry. I will take care of you and of course, I'm the one who will protect you after this. You don't have to think about that. Start from now...you are my responsible because you are my precious girl.''

''But...you don't have any enough power. After all...Alaska is still alive there. He must do something more dangerous after all of this. He already takes me all power.''

''I will think about that later with the other. I believe my mother and the other have a solution to this.''

''I really regret that I easily deceived by him. I must not ever believe any of what he saying.''

After they rest for a while and done with their conversation, both of them decided to start their way to going back to their place. They believe the other was waiting for them.

''So, can we go back now? I think we can continue our journey to go back.'' Dylan said to her.

''Yeah, I think the same too. Let us go.''

''Wait!'' Suddenly Dylan stops his step and comes closer to Delilah.

''What?'' She asks surprisingly.

''I need to put you behind me!'' He quickly lifts her up and put her into his back.

''What? Dylan...no! I can walk on my own. I feeling better now.''

''Nope! You were still weak. I don't want anything to happen to you later.''

Delilah can't do anything about that and just give up on him. She just let him lift her up at back. Then, they began their way to going back.

''Dy...'' Delilah calls Dylan with her soft voice into his ear.

''Hrm?''

''Thank you...'' She said to him then give him a little kiss on his cheek. Dylan was actually surprised by that but he still plays in cool. He tries to control his feeling at that time.

''Leah...I think you should behave yourself or we will stop by anywhere for the second time for whats you have done.'' He pretends to make a cool face.

Delilah laughed after hear of that. She knows Dylan was weak by that action to him.

''Okay...Okay...I behave myself! hahaha...''
