Harry's condition

Thanks for all the votes and suggestions all. I wont lie that the main reason why I decided to make the last two Author Notes were because I was feeling a bit down about comments and such. However, seeing the support I've perked up again and decided to just continue and say 'Fuck it ill write what I want'.

As a thank you heres an extra chapter for today :)

Oz, Hermione and Daphne were all heading towards the medical ward in Hogwarts at the moment to see how harry was faring after the attack.

On the whole trip there both Daphne and Hermione kept trying to talk to Oz however he was in his own little world, trapped in his own mind thinking of all the events that had occurred.

'How on earth did Quirrell even get dementors? Why would he send dementors out knowing full well a murder could have happened? This turn of events makes no sense!'.

In the fight that had just passed, Oz for the first time ever in this world felt true desperation. He was at his wits end trying to conjure a Patronus on the fly and his foolishness for not practicing the spell prior was nearly his downfall. If he was just a second late casting his Patronus then those dementors would have started to prey upon him.

After a while of walking down the halls the trio of Oz, Hermione and Daphne finally arrived in the medical ward. On the furthest away bed near the window Harry was laying down, his expression vacant.

The three ran up to Harry's bedside to see him. As Oz looked down at Harry he almost felt like he could sense the boys despair emanating from him. The sight was so sad to see that both Hermione and Daphne choked up a bit. Harry slowly sat up and stared at the three of them, after a while he looked over to Oz and asked.

"Oz... What were those things? When they attacked me... I felt as though I could hear my mother screaming...".

Oz sighed as he looked at the boy.

"Those were dementors Harry... Dark and sinister creatures that feed off of emotions. Seeing as though you've been through the most trauma in your past, you were targeted by them from the moment they floated into that hall".

Listening to Oz's explanation, Harry looked down at his hands and clenched them into a fist. Oz felt that the boy was extremely frustrated at the turn of events. He went to save Hermione after all but ended up being saved instead.

"Jumping in recklessly like that Harry was certainly foolish... It would have been better to get a teacher if you knew Hermione was in danger".

Looking at Harry, Oz noticed a slight change in the boys eyes. He couldn't exactly explain it, but it felt as if he was going through the same realization that Oz went through. However his was strictly due to his own foolishness, realising that he also needs power to survive. This Harry after all has been exposed to one of the darkest creatures in the wizarding world just months after properly joining this world.

As Harry looked up again to Oz, his eyes felt colder and calmer. It was as if he had decided something.

Looking at this renewed Harry, Oz smiled.

'It seems the boy has regained his spark... The look in his eyes is something I like also, as if he's got a plan from now on...'.

"It looks like you've started to perk up again Harry... good. I'll leave you with both Hermione and Daphne, I have to head off and talk to a certain old bat".

After seeing Harry was fine Oz now left the medical ward, walking towards where Dumbledore's office was.

While Oz walked away, Harry turned to Hermione and Daphne.

"Hermione, did you end up in that toilet due to that Ron bullying you?".

Hermione looked at Harry and sheepishly nodded, for some reason Harry seemed a lot more intimidating compared to how he usually was.

Harry looked at Daphne and gave a sly grin.

"I think us two Slytherins should go and repay him in kind for doing something like that to our friend... don't you agree Daphne?"

Seeing this attitude come out of Harry, Daphne also let off a sly grin.

"I'm with you on that Harry".

While heading towards Dumbledore's office, Oz was beginning to piece together the events that had happened.

'So instead of a troll Quirrell also added two dementors... If he added two dementors then he must have known to some extent that they would target Harry right? Was he trying to get at Harry or something?'.

There were many questions that were presented due to this turn of events and Oz felt like he couldn't answer any of them. He racked his brain on what could have caused these events to spiral out of control so much until finally he realised something.

'...That old snake... That fucking old snake! It must have been him! If he tipped off Quirrell about my presence and true strength then it would all start to make sense!'.

Putting Salazar in this puzzle instantly solved it for Oz. Oz already wondered where the man had gone in the first place but now he was realising that he must have actually gone to get into contact with Quirrell and in extension Voldemort, his heir. What's one piece of information he'd tell his heir? That Oz, the descendant of Merlin, was training under him! If he told him that then instantly Voldemort would become extremely cautious of Oz and his potential. Knowing that Salazar valued Oz's potential to some degree would instantly set of alarm bells in Voldemort's mind, wanting to nip Oz in the bud before he had the chance to grow any more, especially considering how close he is with Harry in his eyes.

'So adding two dementors was to get at me and not Harry! Besides lessons, im with Harry most of the time after all and he decided to release them during dinner when I would have the most chance to be with him...'.

Thinking over the events, these ideas seemed to make the most sense out of all the other ideas he had thought of. There were still questions left though, but at least with this theory there was some substance to it.

'Next time I go down into that fireplace I swear I'll destroy that portrait...'.
