The Ultimate Doomsday (Marvel/DC)

Leon creed was originally just a normal, ordinary person, but one day he passed through it and became the Doomsday in the DC universe with a splendid reputation. Doomsday does not refer to a single monster, but a terrifying legion from the technological civilization of Krypton. But Doomsday is not a superman. In fact, it is a terrible biochemical weapon created through the dead body of the Kryptonian who got superhuman power and resurrected. Leon creed just happened to pass through and became one of the doomsday, and entered the core of the sun for 100,000 years. One day, Leon creed woke up, but when he flew back to Earth, he found that this place is no longer the Earth of the DC universe. I don’t know why he seems to have come to Marvel? "Isn't this invincible? Without kryptonite, I would be akin to a God."

Chapter 87 Nobel Fool.

Chapter 87 Nobel Fool.

Facing Captain America, who had been unexpectedly sent to stay temporarily at his home by Fury, Leon didn't resist too much.

In fact, when Leon had agreed to help Fury unearth Captain America, he had already contemplated asking some questions.

Specifically, "Why didn't you parachute off the plane in the first place?" Leon was deeply curious about this.

Steve felt a bit uncomfortable living in someone else's house. What's more, he was aware that Leon had dug him out, and he might even know some truths.

In reality, after Steve was rescued, Fury had taken him to a SHIELD Facility overnight and thawed him out on the same day.

Steve woke up the following morning after a night's sleep that lasted for seventy years, and then things began to change. After all, he had been in cryostasis for seven decades, during which the world had seen countless changes.

These recent days had certainly bombarded Captain America with a plethora of new information. Maybe Fury even informed him that Leon was an alien, given the way Steve looked at Leon strangely.

"Did Fury assign you to monitor me at the same time?" Leon shrugged, having a good sense of Fury's intentions without thinking too much.

Captain America's temporary stay at Leon's home served several purposes. Firstly, Captain America had just reawoken, and it was crucial to keep his existence under wraps, as he wasn't yet ready to face the public.

Secondly, Leon could assist Steve in adjusting to the modern era. Additionally, Captain America could spy on Leon just as Leon could keep an eye on him.

Most importantly, perhaps Fury thought that Captain America could be gradually won him over and possibly be persuaded him to align with S.H.I.E.L.D.

However, it could be safely said that Fury was overthinking the situation. Leon didn't mind associating with these superheroes, but his stance was crystal clear: he would never join any organization, let alone S.H.I.E.L.D.

Steve gazed at Leon, pondered for a moment, and replied, "There was a bomb on the plane."

Leon was well aware that it was indeed a bomb. Red Skull had loaded it with explosives with the intent to obliterate a nation. But he wondered, "I mean, why didn't you parachute off the plane before it crashed?"

Given the Captain's physical prowess, as long as he wasn't trapped in the plane, he could have swum back to safety. So, why endure being frozen for 70 years?

Steve sighed. "It was on autopilot, locked onto its final destination. If I'd jumped, it would have reverted to its original course."

Hence, he couldn't take that risk and chose to be frozen, fully prepared and determined to meet his end.

Leon inquired further, "But didn't you consider that you'd already flown over the North Pole and then crossed the entire Pacific Ocean? Assuming the fuel wasn't exhausted, wouldn't there have been enough to keep going?"

Steve gazed at Leon and fell silent.

Leon persisted, "Even if the plane had an automatic return function, it would eventually crash due to running out of fuel. The odds were high it would end up in the sea or on an uninhabited island. Would it have made much difference if it exploded?"

Steve's expression turned uncomfortable, as Leon's words essentially meant, was he a fool? Why go to such lengths to sacrifice himself? But in Steve's values, it was a matter of pride.

"I have no regrets," Steve said, and that was all he could offer.

Leon sighed; was he truly a fool?

Leon had a single pressing question on his mind, the one that had led him to the North Pole to unearth Steve and agree to Fury's request for Steve to stay at his home.

"Have you eaten yet? Would you like to find a place to have a drink?" Leon asked, shifting the topic.

Steve couldn't quite keep up with Leon's thoughts, but he replied honestly, "I ate when I arrived, so I'm not hungry. But I'd like to go for a walk."

As mentioned earlier, Leon currently resided in the Brooklyn area, and Steve was born here, so it was a homecoming of sorts for him. It seemed that Steve had accepted Fury's arrangement for various reasons.

He missed his hometown dearly and was eager to see what had become of it after all these years. So, he left Leon's house and ventured out into the streets alone.

Leon observed Captain America's departure, about to leave himself since he hadn't eaten yet. However, a phone call from Tony altered his plans.

"Tony? What's going on?" Leon answered the phone.

Tony, on the other end, sounded a bit disgruntled. "Haven't you been paying attention to recent events?"

"Could it be that Mjolnir has finally arrived?" Leon hadn't heard the news yet; in reality, Mjolnir had already arrived, and Thor's storyline was reaching its climax.

Tony was unaware of Mjolnir and responded, "Dude, I was attacked not too long ago, and you didn't even ask if I'm okay? You're supposed to be my bodyguard."

Their contract was still in effect, making Leon Tony's bodyguard.

Leon retorted, "Is it really unusual for you to get attacked? Given yours's personality, you have enemies worldwide."

However, as Tony recounted recent events, Leon realized that the plot of Iron Man II was unfolding quietly. It was Whiplash, whose full name was Ivan Vanko, who had attacked Tony. But hadn't Tony already defeated him? What had happened afterward?

It turned out that Tony had received news that Ivan Vanko had been rescued. "Who is this Ivan Vanko? Why do you care so much?" Leon inquired. He wasn't entirely unfamiliar with Whiplash, but the character was relatively minor, perhaps the villain with the least presence and least fit for a final showdown.

So Leon had only a passing knowledge of him, and the distinctions between Whiplash versions were beyond him.

It was Tony who educated Leon about Whiplash. Apparently, Whiplash had a father who had been Howard's colleague, even working together on the invention of the "atomic bomb 2.0." However, Howard had discovered that this man had leaked the technology for money, leading to his dismissal.

This history had created a connection between the two families, and Ivan Vanko's father had consistently claimed that Howard had stolen his knowledge and then excluded him.

Howard, on the other hand, had conceived the concept of a hover car as far back as the last century, positioning him over a century ahead of his time. Furthermore, Howard had discovered a new element capable of replacing palladium, but what had happened to that man?

"What concerns me most is not that. Ivan Vanko genuinely possesses the technology to reproduce the Arc Reactor. Now he's been rescued by a group of individuals with unknown origins. I'm worried someone might be pulling the strings behind the scenes," Tony confided.

That was Tony's greatest worry. Leon simply remarked, "This smells like the work of Hammer Industries."
