The man had clearly promised that he was going to let her go if she had completed the test, but once she had rejected his job offer, the man had instructed Officer Zhou Ming to take her back and locked her up!

"Have you think of my offer carefully?" Qin Zhi Hao asked.

Yu Feng was ready to make a concession and negotiate, however, upon hearing his tone and looking at the arrogance in his face, her anger suddenly rose high.

Stubbornly, she crossed her arms on her chest. "My answer remains, no!"

A deep chuckle reverberated in the room. "You are a really stubborn little boy." He moved towards Yu Feng with languid steps. His gaze stayed on Yu Feng's angry face and suddenly thought that the fierce look on her face really resembled the Orange cat earlier. His lips curled into an amused smile.

"What are you going to do?" Yu Feng shifted backward as the man approached him. Seconds later, she feigned her courage and stared back at the man. "How long do you think you're going to keep me here? You are someone who worked for the government. How can you do something that is against the law?"

"Let me ask you one last time. Are you willing to cooperate?" Qin Zhi Hao ignored her long speeches.

"Impossible."

The smile on his face widened and Yu Feng thought that at this time, the man in front of her resembled a devil. Her body shivered involuntarily.

Qin Zhi Hao tilted his head slightly and seconds later, a man dressed in a black robe entered the shed with something that was covered in black clothes in his hand.

Yu Feng looked at the black clothes and had a sense of foreboding.

"Pei Yan, take off that black clothes," Qin Zhi Hao instructed without even turning around.

The man in the black robe who was called Pei Yan placed the cage on the ground. Then, he pulled off the black clothes, revealing the Orange furball inside the cage.

Orange squinted. But as soon as he was able to detect that familiar scent, Orange quickly stood up and turned his head towards Yu Feng. "Meow." He shot her an adorable look.

"Orange!" Yu Feng shouted his name. Then, she turned to Qin Zhi Hao with a hostile look. "Release him."

The cat meowed again and the pitiful look he gave Yu Feng successfully risen the anger in Yu Feng. She stepped forward to snatch the small cage from Pei Yan, but the man moved swiftly to evade her.

Yu Feng shot another look at Qin Zhi Hao, knowing that the man would listen to his command. "I'll do it." She gritted her teeth to suppress her anger. "I will work for you and be your messenger. Now. Will you release Orange?"

Qin Zhi Hao glanced at the cat in the cage with an amused look on his expression. He did not think that Yu Feng would change her mind so quickly and he was prepared to 'negotiate' further.

"You changed your mind so fast."

"Isn't that's the reason why you brought Orange here?"

Qin Zhi Hao waved his hand and Pei Yan and left the room with the cage in his hand.

Seeing that the man in the black robe took Orange away, Yu Feng had wanted to chase after him but was stopped by Officer Zhou who stood at the entrance to guard.

"Let's discuss," Qin Zhi Hao spoke. He stared into Yu Feng's angry gaze and smiled. "Don't worry. I will let your cat go once you finished your task."

"How can I trust you? You have broken your promise with me once." Yu Feng turned around and stopped as she arrived in front of the man. The fear she had towards the man at the beginning had long dissipated the moment she knew that he had caught Orange to threaten her.

Yu Feng was aware that this man had known about the importance of Orange to her, but she did not think that he would be shameless enough to catch Orange and use the cat to bargain with her.

"You said you were going to let me go once I finished the test, but you didn't," Yu Feng continued. "How am I supposed to trust your words again?"

Qin Zhi Hao lowered his gaze. He did not want to go against his words, but he needed Yu Feng's help and had no other choice but to come out with this dirty move.

"I will let you and Orange go," Qin Zhi Hao spoke with a calm expression. He let out a carved wooden token and tossed it to Yu Feng.

Yu Feng studied the token in her hand and froze. Although she did not know who this man was, she was able to figure out that the token was important. Though it was made from wood, the carving and the material were very exquisite. If she sells them, she might receive a lot of money.

Officer Zhou who stood at the side glimpsed at the token and his expression immediately paled. "My lord! That token—"

Qin Zhi Hao shot a look at the man and Officer Zhou was smart enough to shut his mouth. "Work with me for a week," Qin Zhi Hao spoke to Yu Feng. His expression grew dark and heavier as time passed.

For someone like Qin Zhi Hao, to go back on his words was something that he disdained to do. Facing the angry Yu Feng made his heart tugged with guilt. However, at this time, Prince Yi had no other choice. He was not someone who would beg others to stay, and therefore he could only choose to threaten her.

"Come and work for me as a runner until the festival next week. Then, I will let you and your cat go." Qin Zhi Hao stared at her as his mind whirled to think of a way to let Yu Feng agree to work for him. "Xiao Feng, we need your help."

This time, Qin Zhi Hao spoke with a low voice and his tone was no longer as arrogant as it was at the beginning.

Yu Feng stared at the man in front of her with a hint of surprise. After a while, her gaze changed again and this time, she was observing him, examining his sincerity.

"Alright," Yu Feng spoke. "I will work as a messenger for you for a week."

Both Qin Zhi Hao and Zhou Ming looked at Yu Feng with a slight surprise as they had thought that they will need to do more to coerce her.

"What?" Yu Feng snickered upon looking at their expression. "Do I have any other choice?"
