Visit

Mom gave me my phone back and I swiped through a bunch of missed calls and text messages from Austin. I text him, "I got my phone back, but I won't be at school today." "That's good, and why won't you be at school today?" "I got sick from the rain yesterday.", I sent a cat emoji with a thermometer in its mouth. "I should have brought you home, I'm sorry." "It's not your fault, you were busy." Our conversation ended like that and I slowly fell asleep. It felt like I didn't even sleep for a minute and when I woke up a few hours had passed. I feel my pajama shirt stick to my chest from all of my sweat. I sit up and try to stand, but I fall over. I feel someone grab me and put their hand on my head. "You're really burning up Noah." , I hear a familiar voice say. I slowly look up to see Austin holding me, and touching my forehead with his palm. His hand feels cool so I close my eyes and lean further into his palm. "Here take this, I'll go get you some water. Sit down first though.", He told me while placing me back down on my bed. I sat there patiently waiting for him to come back. My stomach hurts so I grab a pillow and held it close to my chest. I buried my face into the pillow and closed my eyes. I heard the door gently squeak open, and I slowly looked up to see Austin carrying a cup. He hands it to me and I grab it, and drink a bit while looking at him. He is pouring cold medicine into a measuring spoon. He brought it up to my mouth and I just frowned and turned away. "Come on, baby?", he asked me. I just shook my head and buried my face in my pillow again. "Okay, if you're going to be that way." ,I heard him mumble. He gently grabbed my chin and kissed me. I tasted a gross bitter liquid enter my mouth. "Uhh", I complained, as he pulled away from the kiss. He smiled and told me to go back to sleep.
